I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Whitney. I was going to move forward with her as my doula for a pregnancy I lost. When I regrettably informed her she took it upon herself to remember the due date and reach out to me. She was one of the only people who did that - and that kind of gesture is one I will never forget. Once I got pregnant again, that level of care remained consistant throughout. I had some scary diagnoses throughout my pregnancy and was left planning for a c-section and she supported me completely unbiased, with care, and information as she had it throughout my pregnancy. In delivery, her presence was the calm support I needed to feel like I could and would have a redemptive birth. When things didn't go to plan, she stayed with my family in the NICU and was an additional, validating voice when I didn't feel like I was heard.
My pregnancy and delivery were tough but with Whitney by my side I felt empowered to speak up and show up how I wanted to for myself and my child. I was connected to resources to support me in ways I needed postpartum. And I felt genuinely cared about.
Whitney will forever hold a very special place in mine and my family's heart. I am forever greatful for her.
