We were unsure if we wanted to hire a doula for our third birth. We had never used a doula before but hiring Sarah was the right choice. From our consultation call to last postpartum visit, she was nothing but helpful and reassuring. I appreciated her wealth of educational resources that she provided us. This was our first home birth and she was able to really help us manage expectations and offered helpful tips to prepare. My due date overlapped with another client and she even brought another doula along to ensure I was comfortable with either of them when it was time to deliver. Sarah is fantastic during labor. She is really good at matching the pace of labor progression and offers helpful suggestions each step of the way. She isn't afraid to try new positions or comfort measures if you aren't responding to one. Sarah's expertise allowed my partner to be fully present with me during labor which was such a gift to both of us. She even helped with my two little toddlers that were curious about what was going on with mom and helped get them set up with breakfast. Overall, Sarah was the perfect addition to our birth team and I will always encourage someone to hire a doula if on the fence.
