We are very thankful to have had Barbie as our Doula, and have nothing but wonderful things to say. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula during their pregnancy. Barbie is extremely thorough in her work, and she is kind and supportive all throughout pregnancy and the birth process. She took the time to get to know our family during her prenatal home visits, texted me consistently throughout pregnancy, and was vitally important during the birth. I really wanted to have an unmedicated birth, and I think that having her really helped us accomplish that. She talked to us on the phone during early labor, texted with my husband to guide him, and came to the hospital as soon as we asked her to. She helped guide me into good positions during active labor, effectively communicated with the nurses and doctors, and anticipated what we needed. Barbie stayed with us for a while after the birth to help us get settled, and followed up in the days afterwards. Barbie was everything we wanted in a doula, and anyone would be lucky to have her as part of their birth team!
