I interviewed several doulas before meeting Sam & Ildi. Once we met, I felt immediately reassured and knew this was the team I wanted throughout my pregnancy and at the birth of my son. From the start, Sam & Ildi were different from others, they took questions and were 'on-call' from the moment we signed our contract, which was very early in my pregancy. Other doulas only provided their services from the third trimester and closer to birth. As an older mom, I had Sam & Ildi to help me evaluate options and discuss my pregnancy. I also liked how the team was available for at home visits and to be 'on-call' for a month after birth, this was a major highlight that set Sam & Ildi apart from other doulas. I had so many questions when we got home from the hospital. And all of that is amazing, but the most wonderful thing was my birth story. Sam was my doula. My husband said we could not have done it without her! And I completely agree. While nothing went as planned, Sam was with us every moment and helped me advocate for a super critical part of my induction that set us on the right path. I think back on the birth of my son so fondly, I would absolutely work with Sam & Ildi again.
