This was my first pregnancy and Joy is the best doula. However, I didn't get to spend a lot of time with her because I got her towards the end of my pregnancy but I appreciate her very much. She is so sweet and very concerning. I absolutely love how she was there with me during delivery, and before she got there we were on the phone and she was asking the doctors questions before procedures .. She made them think before anything and explain what and why they were doing what they were doing. Instantly that made me trust her. She was so attentive during my delivery, watching the monitors and just being there through out everything. I don't know how I would've gotten through that day without her. She played a big part in my delivery process. And I love the fact that she is a African women just like me. That made me even more comfortable with her. You can tell Joy loves her job! Even after delivery she is still helpful. She gives me tips and resources. I am going to miss her after our visits are over. If you're looking for a doula that's going to be there every step of the way Joy is your girl. She knows what she's doing, this job was made for her.
