Chrissy was absolutely amazing. We made our decision to move forward with a doula later in my pregnancy than most couples do.
She was still able to fit us in and get all our pre-labor visits done. Being our first child, neither of us knew what to expect. She was
great with giving us information, helping us navigate through what was left of my pregnancy, and preparing us for labor.
We messaged Chrissy when my labor started. My water broke at 1:00 am and my contractions were immediately 2-3 minutes apart.
She was in contact with us, through phone, until we got to the hospital. She arrived not long after we did and was with us the entire time.
She was wonderful; coaching, guiding and doing whatever she could to help us both physically, mentally and emotionally throughout the whole process.
She used the birthing belt to help me with contractions. (She literally did this for hours. I didn't deliver until 7:51pm.)
She helped me maneuver my body into different positions with the peanut ball. She did whatever she could to make me as comfortable as possible.
Her working with me like she did also allowed time for my
husband to get some rest or grab a coffee. She was literally God sent.
We both would highly recommend, especially first time parents, hiring a doula. Chrissy was awesome.
