Words can't truly capture how grateful I am for Valerie and all of her support. My husband and I are first time parents and wanted to make sure we had a great pregnancy and labor experience to start our journey into parenthood. From the moment we had our first call with Valerie we knew she was a perfect fit for us. She answered all of our questions - throughout pregnancy, our labor, and after we went home with our little one. She was patient and had great recommendations for some of the challenges I faced in late pregnancy. I was most thankful to have Valerie with us for our birth as things really didn't go to plan! We went in with open hearts/minds, hoping to have an unmedicated vaginal birth but our baby had other plans. My water broke which accelerated our timline at the hospital to minimize infection risk to myself and the baby. Over the course of 40 hours of labor, Valerie helped discuss all of the options our doctos presented us and weigh pros and cons, as well as alternative options. She stayed up with me through the night, helped make sure I was comfortable, walked the halls of the hospital with me and so much more. I felt so much more comfortable knowing I had an expert in the room when we had to try alternatives to help progress labor. Fortunately both myself and the baby made it through safe and healthy, and I credit much of that to Valerie's support and expertise. Everyone should have a doula with them for labor, especially if they're a first time parent. I can't imagine having done this without her. Thank you, Valerie!
