Megan was truly god-sent during the postpartum period. I don't know how we would have coped with the uprooting and stress of a new baby (and a pre-schooler at home!!) without Megan's help! We had Megan visit about 2 times a week until my daughter was 3-4 months. When Megan wasn't here, I was co-sleeping which made me edgy and uncomfortable (it wasn't for me!), and difficult to get a restorative sleep. On the evenings Megan was here, my husaband and I looked forward to Megan holding my daughter as we were able to sleep independently without fear of squishing her- I was still nursing so Megan would bring her to me for feeds. Megan's support during this time helped both of us so much physically (increased sleep), mentally and emotionally. I was actually able to do activities during the day and took fewer naps. My overall health was good. Additionally - whenever I had questions about the newborn/postpartum period, Megan was open to me asking them and provided her opinions - which were always welcome... I did not feel so alone! I would encourage Megan's postpartum doula services to everyone and anyone with a newborn infant who doesn't have a lot of support (especially during the nighttime). It makes a huge difference in your health, mood, and overall wellbeing. Megan is kind, reliable, dependable, non-jedgemental, experienced and wonderful with newborns. Thank you Megan! You made the postpartum period tolerable and actually enjoyable :)
