During my first labour and delivery I felt scared, nervous, and like I was missing the support of someone who knew what was happening. Laura provided all of that and more during the labour and delivery of my second baby. She was incredibly informed about what to expect at each stage of labour, and how to best transition to the next part of the process. Her suggestions of multiple positions to keep me as calm, comfortable, and relaxed as possible helped progress my labour without the need of any interventions. When I was very close to delivery and feeling like I couldn't go on, it was Laura who helped encourage me to continue, and gave me the assurance that I could do it. Laura was with me every step of the way, and there was never I time where I felt alone or scared. Thanks to her expertise and support, I look back on the birth of my son as a time of empowerment, strength and joy. I recommend Laura as a doula to any woman who wants a calm and incredibly helpful support person during the labour and delivery process.
