Sarah was with us as a doula and child care provider for many years. She was a grounding presence in our home. She was always reliable and generous with her time and skills. She fed our kids well, read to them, took them on adventures, and wasn't daunted by bedtimes or their high needs. We always knew they were safe and being more than cared for- she went out of her way for us time and time again. She became part of our family system, and now that she's a mom herself, I'm sure she brings even more skill to her vocation. It doesn't seem like a job for her, more of a calling.
