My husband and I arrived from Ukraine and got pregnant here in America. I've never heard of a doula and I didn't plan to take her to my place for labour. We met Albina by chance and started working in the 8th month of my pregnancy. But we managed to agree on everything and decide. She perfectly explained to me how labour takes place in America, what to expect and what to be prepared for. We discussed all the scenarios. Since our English is not perfect, Albina was also our translator in the hospital. She spent the whole day with us in the hospital and helped me a lot. I couldn't imagine that my labour with a doula would be so easy. I trusted her completely and listened to all her tips.
