Raya was such a blessing to our family, and we highly recommend her to anyone who needs a doula who is experienced and empathetic to walk with them through their pregnancy, birth and postpartum!
Raya helped me to feel prepared and supported through my first time expecting. Her in-person visits were helpful information sessions as well as get-to-know each other opportunities that we greatly appreciated. She was also readily available via phone and since I did not know what to expect during my first pregnancy, or what was normal, it was reassuring to be able to message her anytime. Raya is empathetic and got to know me in a way that allowed her to suggest resources that were exactly what I needed to prepare for birth.
I went into spontaneous labor right before our scheduled induction, and I know that Raya played a huge role in making it a successful, positive experience. Once labor started and I decided to get an epidural (confident in my choice, as we had discussed all my options in depth at our prenatal visits), her suggestions on movements and things my husband could do to help me throughout labor were invaluable. I had a relatively easy delivery, and I am convinced that is because I was prepared, educated and supported during the experience.
We have already decided if/when we expect our second to reach out to Raya and have her support us again!
