Melinda was our doula for both our daughters. We did one birth at Sprout Birth Center and the other at home. Melinda was absolutely essential before, during and after both! She is extremely knowledgeable and somehow is both assertive and gentle. The perfect combo and just what I needed during labor. During labor, she had amazing ideas for pain relief/management, position changes to help progress labor, and was just the encouraging voice I needed when I got anxious or wasn't sure how things were going.
We really liked how she educated and involved my husband and made him an active part of it all. Her "Get That Baby Out" session that she does a few weeks before due date is awesome and so helpful for both partners.
After birth, she continued to be supportive with suggestions and resources on breastfeeding and mental/physical health during infant days for both me and my husband.
We cannot recommend her enough and were so excited to have her again when we had our second kid. She's the best!
