We LOVE Sofia, she is such a gem - full of practical knowledge and of heart. My husband and I felt immediately comfortable with Sofia during our consultation. We loved that she speaks and understands both English and Spanish since we are a bilingual family. I am so glad we hired her to be our doula for my first birth. I really valued all of the mental, emotional and physical preparation we did with her prior to the birth. She actually made me feel more excited and less scared even though it was my first time. I originally was planning on delivering at a birth center however I changed to deliver in a hospital and was so grateful Sofia understood my vision for treating the birth as a sacred experience and helped set the tone and the vibe. During the birth she helped ensure labor was progressing with different positions, helped keep me calm with massage, scents and keeping me hydrated, and supported my husband and I to navigate and make difficult decisions with hospital staff. Sofia also captured beautiful moments on camera during the birth that are so precious to me. I highly recommend working with Sofia, you can tell how much genuine care she puts into her work - for the mamas, the dads and the babies.
