I was on the fence about hiring a doula, and my husband convinced me that we really needed one. He was so right, and I am so glad we found Enza. Considering I was having a fairly comfortable pregnancy, I didn't reach out to her much until the day of my induction. My induction went to plan, but toward the end, my labor didn't progress as anticipated. I wound up having a c-section.
Enza was a phenomenal support to me while I was in labor. She was able to help me make informed decisions by explaining things in layman's terms when needed. She also was able to help guide me through different ways to help with dilation and pain management.
During my c-section, Enza was also able to provide support for my husband. We were not anticipating a c-section,therefore didn’t know what to expect. So having someone to provide support for him was something we didn’t know we needed.
Finally, a few days after my baby was born, Enza sent me some pictures she’d taken of me in labor. I love these pictures! Not because I look great in them (because I don’t), but because I get to see myself being stronger than I’ve ever had to be, and I have a picture of the first time I saw my son.
Thank you Enza for your kindness, friendship, and support!
