My husband and I were initially interested in finding a dula because we were both interested in doing everything we could to feel educated, empowered, and supported during our first birth experience. When my husband and I first met Lindsay, we were very impressed with Lindsay's experience as both a dula and a nurse, and felt an immediate draw toward her warmth and expertise. Throughout the prenatal classes and birth classes, Linsday not only shared her wealth of knowledge on the birth process, but also formed a strong bond with us, helping us to not only trust her, but to trust each other and ourselves in our ability to approach labor in the way we invisioned. I couldn't have asked for a stronger, kinder, more empowering person to guide us through our first birth experience. All of the preparation she provided helped me to trust my body and allowed my husband and I to not only endure, but actually enjoy the birth of our first child  .. without pain medication! We are so greatful to Linsday for this wonderful gift.

As a first-time mother I wanted to hire a doula to support me through the end of my pregnancy and ease my worries about labor and delivery.  Lindsay was a pleasure to work with because she is kind, caring, and open minded, with enthusiasm for helping parents find their way.  She answered my questions, empowering me with knowledge. She held my hands and guided me through my fears, filled my with renewed hope, and lead me confidently into the joys of motherhood.

I feel so grateful for having met Lindsay!  She offers such passion, dedication and nurture to her business and clients. Lindsay goes above and beyond as both a birth doula and post partum doula. She provided constant support and knowledge leading up to the birth of my daughter and helped me feel as prepared as I could be, both emotionally and physically. She was a huge comfort during all of my moments of fear, uncertainty and curiosity.  Both my husband and I agree that having Lindsay with us during labor and delivery was invaluable.  She put us both at ease and knew exactly when to step back and when to offer guidance and help. It was such a comfort having her there.  She took some beautiful first family photos too!

Having Lindsay around as a post partnum doula was such a treat.  She is so easy to have around and always knows the right thing to say and ways to be helpful.  No one realizes how crazy post partum is until they are experiencing it and to have home cooked food in the fridge, an extra set of hands for the baby or laundry, a hug, and empathy from someone who has been there makes a world of a difference.  Being a doula, nurse, a mother of three, a daughter, a wife, a friend all contribute to her being such an amazing support and guide during  pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum and everything baby.  I couldn't recommend her enough!

Lindsay was wonderful with our family after the birth of our daughter. She was always positive and helpful, and when I was too disorganized to know how she could help me, she found ways to do it anyway! Soon after our daughter was born we had a sudden death in the family. Lindsay made herself available and offered moral support throughout the entire ordeal. I wholeheartedly recommend her and am thankful that she was part of our postpartum experience.

I really cannot say enough about Lindsay and the service she provided to me as her doula.  I was going through a really difficult time in my life, not getting emotional support of any kind from the father of my child, and inititiateing a divorce.  In fact, when I told Lindsay all that was going on, she could have easily thought this sounds too complicatated and walked away.  Instead, she was totally professional, very knowledgable and compassionate, and able to naviagate some pretty tricky politics with my family and the hospital staff.  My birth itself, was also complicated by the fact that I was admitted to the hospital with a calcium overdose/kidney stone 24 hours before my water broke, an issue that impacted how the staff chose to proceed with my plans for an unmedicated water birth.  Lindsay was with me for almost two days in the end and she was a total trooper.  I cannot recommend her highly enough for her patience, positivity, and willingness to work around my schedule to travel to my home to meet with me, knowing that I was working until the day before I gave birth.  She is accomodating, smart, and personable, and the hospital staff could not believe that we didn't already know each other prior to our doula work together.  I am happy to reccomend her highly, enthusiatically, and without any reservations. (I should also add that I am kind of picky and met with three doulas before choosing her so this really says a lot)!

Lindsay is amazing!  From our initial phone converation, I knew she was the Doula I wanted by my side during the birth of our son.  Lindsay has a calm and comforting personality and combined with her passion as a Doula I knew that her energy is what I was going to need during delivery.  But Lindsay's work started long before the delivery.  Lindsay sent many articles with tips or research that pertained to my specific delivery plan.  She made herself available by phone anytime and spent time meeting me and my partner the week before the delivery, getting to know us and spending time learning about our wishes for delivery.  During the delivery, Lindsay's  presence was calming, soothing and encouraging.  She spent over 17 hours with us, she gave my partner piece of mind so that he could leave and take a break, and when it was time to push, her words were encouraging as she coached me.  Lindsay was in no rush to leave after the birth of our son, even though she had an hour drive and had been with us for 17 hours and it was 1 a.m., she stayed until everything had settled down.  Lindsay also made the trip to see me and the baby about 2 weeks after the birth.  Lindsay is an amazing coach and Doula.  She was an awesome addition to our birthing experience!

I was lucky enough to meet Lindsay through Doulamatch for postpartum support after my first baby. With a difficult recovery from a c-section, no family in the area and a husband that travels, it is no overstatement to say she was my savior through this tough transition into motherhood. Lindsay is lovingly nurturing to both Mom and baby, and incredibly helpful with the overwhelming daily tasks that come along with a new baby. I rarely had to ask her to do things, she somehow just knew what I needed (which was a relief because often times I didn't)! She had the perfect balance of offering guidance but completely allowed me to find my own comfort zone of motherhood without ever crossing a boundary. She is conscientious, throrough, warm and her nursing background is an added bonus. All that with a refreshing sense of humor! Plain and simple she just took amazing care of us and exceeded every expectation I had of a doula.

If you are considering Lindsay for doula support I urge you to contact her. She will make you feel like a priority even when she's not with you. Lindsay is the perfect example of someone who thrives by finding their calling. She's forever a part of our family and I hope you're fortunate enough welcome her into yours too; you won't regret it!

I was happy to have the pleasure of Lindsay's postpartum service after my first child was born. Lindsay always arrived at our home with so much positive energy and a wonderful "can do" attitude. For example: Lindsay went grocery shopping for us at Trader Joes in Boston for us on multiple occations, backpack straped on, climbing our 3 story walkup with a weeks worth of groceries and always big smile! Amazing!

In addition to her positive energy, Lindsay is all about helping you gain confidence as a mother, so she creates a very nonjudgemental and validating environment in which you can start feeling comfortable making decisions for yourself and your child. At the same time she also provides direct education to help you navigate the many unknowns of new motherhood. Having someone knowledgeable there to talk with about breastfeeding or your baby's sleep and development is SO helpful! She taught me how to use my breast pump which would have been totally overwhelming to figure out alone and sleep deprived!

Lindsay provided me with much needed emotional and practical support. She made my transition into motherhood so much less overwhelming and contributed a great deal to my ability to feel capable, independent, and mentally and physically strong, fairly shortly after giving birth. I'm so glad we were lucky enough to have her!

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Lindsay.  Until I was about 32 weeks pregnant, I had no idea what a doula was or how they might support a mother durng labor and delivery.  I'm a first-time mom who is a single mom as well.  My first thought was that it would be good to have someone in there with me who has been through this experience before.  However, it turns out that I greatly underestimated what Lindsay was able to do for me.  First, her sincerity in how much she truly cares for her clients is evident the moment you meet her.  She cherishes the opportunity to be involved in this precious moment in a woman (and baby's life).  Second, she takes it seriously to ensure that the mom knows that the mother is in charge.  If you have preferences about your birth experience, she will honor them and inform you if you have uncertainty and need some guidance.  I would strongly advocate every mom have a doula with her during labor and delivery.  Due to my baby's heart defect, I was induced.  Lindsay stayed by my side, responding to every request that I had, intuiting needs that I couldn't articulate and sending me positive energy for nearly 55 hours before the physicians ordered an emergency c-section.  She is creative in offering solutions for pain management and always eager to try them out to identify what works best for you.  It's great that she is also an OR nurse because it enabled her to build a rapport with the clinicians who were caring for me as well.  She understood what was going on and could explain things to be in a simple fashion.  Although she was originally my doula, I consider her a close friend and look forward to keeping in touch.  Engaging Lindsay as my doula was one of the best decisions I've made.

Let me start by saying I was not prepared to have a child. My family was across the country so, I was scared to do this all by myself. I heard about Doulas and I thought it would be great for me to have one as I wanted someone who's done this before. I met Lindsay Miller and was estatic to have someone that also had RN experience, I got the best of both worlds! My husband loved her as well and I think he felt relief that there was somone we could rely on during my pregnancy. I was very nervous about everything but Lindsay was never judgemental and always reasurring. She always kept in touch to see how I was doing and if I had any questions she was always happy to help or find an answer for me.

I was three weeks early but Lindsay was already prepared! She stayed by my side the whole time and talked with me and comforted me during my whole labor. I cannot express enough how happy I was to have her during the birth of my daughter, I wouldn't have had it any other way. She even cut the cord! My husband was too scared, haha.

Lyndsay made a post partum visit which was really helpful because I was having a very hard time adjusting to being a new mother, with the lack of sleep it was rough. Lindsay had nothing but encouraging words and just made me feel so much better as a mother.

I cannot express how happy I am to have met Lindsay and she has such a chill, calming personality, I loved it. I highly recommend you consider Lindsay for your birthing experience!
