Carol and her partner Beth helped us with our second child during her first month. My husband and I looked forward to their visits each night, knowing we would get some much needed sleep, assurance, and advice. Carol has a very calming presence and immediately put us, and our baby, at ease. Right away on her first night with us, Carol was able to calm our baby and she could stay asleep until it was time to eat. Carol would bring her to me to nurse, then whisk her away when I was done so I could go back to sleep and she would magically put the baby back to sleep with ease. Carol would help with lots of other tasks around the house, and it was a great feeling to wake up to a clean kitchen, laundry folded, and dishes done. Carol and Beth were both flexible with scheduling in order to best meet our family’s needs. I wish I could keep using Carol and Beth forever, but when our time with them ended, I knew that thanks to their help, our baby was off to a great start. I am happy to provide any additional information to families considering using Carol and Beth – firstname.lastname@example.org.
Carol was amazing and completely changed our lives!! She is a wealth of knowledge, professional, patient, caring, and very supportive. I contacted Carol when my twins were about six months old. At that point, they were waking up every hour throughout the night (not to eat) and were constantly waking each other. My husband and I were exhausted as many nights were all-nighters for both of us. Despite sticking to a rigid bedtime routine and following endless advice from others, nothing seemed to get these girls to sleep.
When I first reached out to Carol for her sleep training services, she patiently spent a long time on the phone with me to best understand the sleep issues we were having, what we were doing, and what our goals were. She offered many suggestions for us to try between that phone call and the first night she was able to come. The first two nights she came to our house, she spent the night sitting in the nursery with the babies to get to know them and to get a feel for if they were ready for sleep training. The following week, she proposed a sleep training plan but also made sure we were 100% on board with her plan before she started. After her spending three nights in a row exclusively in the nursery with the twins, our babies were peacefully sleeping through the night!! Now, they both easily sleep 12 hours, and their naps and moods are much better as a result as well! I would highly recommend Carol to any family having sleep issues with their baby/babies.
I hired Carol as a postpartum doula for my daughter after glowing reviews from a family friend who had used her for their twins. While I had high expectations of her based on the reference I received, Carol actually exceeded those expectations, and was truly a godsend those first few weeks as a first time mom, especially recovering from a last minute c-section. Our daugther had some minor issues with dehydration and temperature the first few days home from the hospital, and Carol was a doctor, nurse, and doula all in one! Carol is exceptionally loving, warm, nurturing, friendly, knowledgable, and professional. As soon as we became pregnant with our second, Carol was on speed dial! We couldn't wait to see her again and we felt instantaneous relief as soon as she walked through the door; we knew the entire family was in first-rate care for the next week. Carol has advised me on a myriad of topics and always provides effective and compassionate tips and advice. Both of my children were always calm, happy, and safe in her loving arms, and were able to soothe my babies in a way that still eludes me. I can not recommed Carol enough!
Carol: The most amazing doula and person:
I will feel forever blessed that we had the fortunate opportunity to work with Carol as post partum doula to our daughter. In addition to being a true expert in infant care, she is compassionate, thoughtful, energetic, loving, dependable, and has a wealth of information and tips to share with new Moms. Carol is a truly lovely human being and so wonderful to have around. I don't know if I would have continued to nurse without Carol's helpful advice and support. As a first time Mom, I naturally had some nerves about infant care, breast feeding, and sleep schedules. Having Carol as post partum doula and advocate made all of the difference for our family during Eva's first 6 weeks. We were calm, felt like we could navigate through it all, and actually got to sleep. Eva was on a great schedule from the beginning, which is partly her tempermant of course, but I attribute this largely to Carol and her amazing abilities. Carol helped us through many transitions including adding bottle feeding, moving the baby into the crib, and dropping night feedings. I can not recommend Carol more highly to anyone in search of a post partum doula. She was the single reason why I felt confident and supported during those first weeks, and why my daughter is a great sleeper to this day.
