My husband and I had the privilege of working with Cristina as our doula for the birth of our daughter. Long before we stepped foot into the hospital, she was there for us through email, phone and in-person support. When the day arrived, she met us at the hospital (on thanksgiving day!) and stayed by our sides through the long labor. I ultimately needed an unplanned cesarean and am so thankful that Cristina was there to help my husband and I through each step of the decision-making process. I truly believe that with her help we made the best decision for the health and safety of our daughter. Additionally she helped me achieve my desire of an un-medicated birth for many hours prior to the necessity of the cesarean. Cristina is gentle yet strong, peaceful and encouraging, knowledgeable and helpful. Truly her personality was the perfect fit for us and I believe we could not have had a better doula! We will forever be grateful to have had Cristina in our lives for the birth of our first child. And we look forward to working with her for the next birth!

The moment I met Cristina, I knew she would be my guardian angel. She has a calm presence about her and she's very sweet. My goal was to have a water birth and she recommended to check out just the right hospital where my plan could be honored. She was checking on me periodically and as the due date came and went, kept me calm and anxiety free, while giving me tips to help things along. Unfortunately, after 36 hours of labor, my water birth plan went down to drain and I ended up with a C-section. Cristina was there for me since the labor picked up, for lengthy 24 hours and through the night. She helped me keep laboring and helped me make tough decisions, when my baby wasn't descending. I felt confident letting go of my birth plan with her assurances that I did everything I could to deliver my baby naturally.

After my labor struggle and C-section, my milk wasn't coming in and my baby was not latching. Cristina to the rescue again with a recommendation for in home lactation consultant. She also did my placenta encapsulation and it has been working out great for me. All and all, I wouldn't want to give a birth without a doula and definitely not without one like Cristina.

As a father trying to both witness the birth of our son and truly feel part of the birth experience, I could not think of a more helpful person to have in the room with my wife and me than Cristina. It certainly helped to have someone knowledgeable right in there with you who can guide both of you through whatever is going on. The entire process went a lot more smoothly than I had anticipated, thanks to Cristina’s presence – a fact that I appreciated especially, since I may have been more in need of calming down at the time than my wife was!

Cristina’s very empathetic, reassuring presence certainly made a big difference in our case. We were both very impressed with her ability to get us prepared for the big day, as well as her ability to answer quickly and in detail any of the many questions we had. And her knowledge of soothing/calming techniques is truly astounding!

This was a very positive experience for our family, and I would highly recommend Cristina’s services to anyone in need of a great doula.

Cristina came highly recommended from a dear friend of mine, and we were so happy to find her! My husband and I, both thought she was the best person to have in the delivery room. So calm, soft spoken and very knowledgeable. This was our first baby and we were both nervous and overwhelmed(obviously!). But Cristina made it much more manageable. Per her recommendation, I labored at home for couple of hours for the early labor instead of running to the hospital. Once we got to the hospital, she was right there with us. She was talking to me, encouraging me, massaging me, doing everything that could ease the pain. Even though I took the epidural eventually, it didnt work right away and I had back labor. My husband was freaking out seeing me in so much pain. I cannot imagine how we would have gone through those hours till finally the epidural worked if Cristina wasnt there to support and calm my husband. She was truly fantastic and we couldnt have done it without her! I highly recommend her and I know we'll get back to her for our next baby for sure!

It was a wonderful experience being with Christina. She was a very reliable and complete support for me and my husband during the entire time in the delivery room. She helped me having a safe and enjoyable delivery even without any epidural. She was calm and soothing all the time. We would highly recommend her to be a complete support during such a difficult and important yet a beautiful time!

Cristina assisted me with delivery this past June, 2015 at the Lutheran General in Park Ridge. This was my third child coming. My first two daughters were born without a doula, and simply put: what a difference! With Cristina there, I could completely relax knowing I was in good hands. In this birth, I found myself able to completely let go of all worries associated with hospitals and procedures. I felt fully supported by my doula and could focus deeper on the actual experience of the birth. My labor lasted over 8 hours, and Cristina was by my side the whole time. She knew what she was doing - making me walk and sit in good positions throughout the contractions, and saying words of wisdom and encouragement that were just right. I am so glad I got to experience giving birth this way, and I wish for other moms to have the same. Cristina is a great doula and an ocean of knowledge for moms-to-be.

Cristina is great! She has a ton of knowlege on a variety of topics so I highly suggest picking her brain :) She is super sweet and helpful and always responds promptly. I would HIGHLY reccommend her placenta pills. It is a great value and I thought they worked wonders. I will do the pills again with every child! I also would inquire about her stomach-wrapping postpardum. She really is your one-stop for everything doula!!!

If I were to rate Cristina, I'd give her a  9/10. From initiating contact to visiting me postpartum, she has been proactive, punctual and courteous. She is calm, reliable and level- headed. Her knowledge about Ayurveda and herbalism is astounding and she fitted well in our Indian family. Her commitment to her job and her professionalism impressed me. She was by my side the whole time I was in labor on Christmas eve, although she had a sick child at home.I had an un-medicated, vaginal delivery (I labored for 24 hours) and it wouldn't have been possible without Cristina.  She made me walk the corridors of the hospital and stay active which helped labor progress. I had long active labor and that is when we found her most valuable. She tirelessly provided me with comfort measures like hip squeezes, back massage and aromatherapy. My husband and mother could take breaks because she was continuously by my side. Her presence helped them remain calm. I can't thank Cristina enough for helping me experience an amazing birth!

I had a wonderful experience with Cristina as my doula.  She supported me leading up to and during my delivery as well as after my delivery. Cristina was a great resource when putting together our birth plan. During my labor she was extremely supportive without being intrusive.  She made sure my husband and I were taken care of and had many helpful suggestions on labor positions.  She also has an incredible calming presence and kind spirit. I would highly recommend Cristina if you are looking for a Doula.

Cristina was fantastic as my doula!  She helped me achieve my non-medicated VBAC without any interventions. Even though we had just met right before I went into labor, I was completely comfortable with her and she made me feel at ease. She never left my side, and made sure I was as comfortable as possible, whether it was providing water, massages, hot/cold packs, to suggesting position changes to alleviate pain and help things progress. It was nice having someone there to help support me that was familiar with the whole birthing process since we didn't get to labor with my first pregnancy.  Having her there also allowed my husband to get some rest while I was still being cared for.  She was calm and reassuring, and provided emotional support during the toughest moments.  I wouldn't change a thing!  I highly recommend Cristina!

Cristina was wonderful to have as a resource during my pregnancy and afterwards.  She was extremely helpful in partnering with us to put together a birth plan - bringing up things that we needed to make deicisions on that we didn't even know about (i.e. like the timing of cord clamping).  She educated us throughout the process and ultimately and most importantly she is a very kind person that brings a calming energy to the room.
