Hannah is awesome! We had the pleasure of having Hannah as our doula for our first child. We received care at the Women's Birth and Wellness Center and used Hypnobabies. Her support during our pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period was indispensable. My experience would not have been the same without her!

Whenever I had questions, Hannah was very  quick in responding, and she was extremely knowledgeable. She drew from her experience and literature, and her objective and detailed answers helped me feel calm and confident. The prenatal visit helped me and my husband feel ready for the birth.

Hannah hosted a mother's blessing, and it was so special. It was exactly what I needed before the birth.

Hannah came to our house before heading to the birth center, and she was there for the whole birth. Her assuringpresence and support helped me feel calm. It made a huge difference to have her there.

The postpartum visit helped me process the birth and I felt taken care of. I cannot recommend Hannah highly enough! Throughout the whole experience, she made the birth feel like a natural and normal process, and I felt more connected and strong as a woman. We're so thankful that she was part of our birth team.

My husband and I worked with Hannah Smith for the birth of our first daughter and our experience was so positive, supportive, and loving that we worked with her again for the birth of our second daughter! Leading up to our deliveries Hannah provided the type of loving support that our family needed to prepare for both baby and me. She has an incredibly warm and positive personality that made her feel like she was a part of our family. She is incredibly experienced and was able to help answer many questions we had about pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum experience and make a plan that was right for our family.

During our deliveries I don't know what we would have done without her. Her calm and confident presence helped my husband and I go through the childbirth experience with confidence and the type of love and focus we wanted to have on our baby. She helped me communicate effectively with the rest of my care team including nurses and doctors and she was my advocate throughout the experience. She helped center me, ground me, and support me during both labors in a way that led to incredibly positive births. I am so happy I got to share my birth experiences with Hannah and if we decide to have a third, Hannah will be the first person we call. I cannot recommend her enough for anybody looking for support in their childbirth and postpartum journey. Final note, her aromatouch is incredible while pregnant!

Hannah was such an incredible resource to have during my pregnancy and throughout labor. Whenever I had questions (and I had many) she would draw upon her own knowledge base and expriences but in addition she would also provide me with literature that I could review on my own and allowing me to arrive at my own informed decision.  During my labor she was always such a grounding, calming presence. When my husband and I felt totally overwhelmed- Hannah was a lifesaver, reassuring us when we required it and informing medical staff when appropriate. She also had little tips and essential oils that helped with labor. Over all we are tremendously grateful to Hannah for all of her support and guidance throughout pregnancy and delivery and we could not imagine bringing our little one into the world without her!

From our very first consultation, I knew Hannah was who I wanted in the birthing room with me and my husband- for both her down-to-earth yet strait forward personality as well as her knowledge and skills surrounding mamas and their babies-to-be. She instantly clicked with us!

I ended up having a very long labor with a lot of unexpected twists and turns. Hannah was such a calm yet focused presence throughout all of my laboring, starting at home communicating via text messages and then meeting us at the Durham Regional Birthing Center as things progressed. Hannah stayed by my side the entire time, and when my labor ended up in a C-Section, she stayed with me in recovery so that my husband could have skin-to-skin time with our beautiful baby girl. During the most intense moments, which were more psychologically challenging than anything, Hannah reassured me and my husband that we were making the right decisions, which made it easier for me to go with the flow of a labor that went in a direction that we had not planned for. I will definitely be calling on Hannah again if we decide to go for round two!

Hannah was simply wonderful!  It was so helpful to meet with her prior to going into labor to review my birth plan. When I had questions come up, Hannah was always quick to respond and very thoughtful and thorough.  I took advantage of her AromaTouch services and found them to be so peaceful and relaxing! During the birth, she was a calm, supportive, and wise presence.  She made suggestions to my partner to try different types of counter pressure for pain management and coached me on positions to try.  She also used lavender oil while I was labor, which I found to be soothing. We had Hannah come for a postpartum visit.  I appreciated being able to get some support around breastfeeding as well as babywearing at that time.  I highly recommend her as a birth and postpartum doula!

Hannah was our doula for the birth of our second daughter, thank goodness!  She is absolutely amazing.  She has a very calm presence, a great sense of humor (which was important to me), she's very knowledgable and very sweet.  My birth was a quick and intense one, and Hannah was right by my side, encouraging and reassuring me.  She was exactly what I needed. I will certainly be booking her for our next birth!  ...when I can talk my husband into that :)

Hannah was our doula for the water birth of our daughter at the Women's Birth and Wellness Center in Chapel Hill, NC.  She was great!  She's very knowledgable about pregnancy, labor, births, new infant care, nursing and is so easy to talk to.  It was really easy to connect with her and talk about anything.  She provided a lot of support during pregnancy, including a lovely aromatouch session that was so relaxing!  She was always available and checked in regularly on how I was doing and if we needed her for anything.  She guided me through early labor which really helped me be patient until things started progressing.  Once at the WBWC she was a great source of comfort and support for us, reminding us things that were easy to forget in the moment.  Everything went really well with the birth of our happy, healthy, baby girl and we couldn't have done it without Hannah! She was everything we were looking for in a doula and we will definitely use her again if we ever need another doula.

Hannah was my doula in March 2014, and will be again for sure if/when I have another child!  She was a great help in preparing my husband and I for the arrival of our daughter.  She was with us as a strong and calm support at the hospital throughout labor and delivery.  Very knowledgable, and worked well with both of us and we got exactly the birth experience that we were hoping for... and a healthy happy baby!  Hannah has also been a great resource during the post-partum period. Looking forward to working with her again!
