Post a testimonial for Sarah Strayer

Sarah was wonderful to work with. Even before the labor and birth we met with her a few times to go over everything. She got us thinking about what to expect and made sure we were all on the same page in regards to our goals for the labor and delivery. During the actual day everything went so fast for me. It was so wonderful to have her there with us. She remained calm the entire time, and really helped me work through the pain. I can't imagine our birth experience without her there!

I cannot offer enough praise for the job Sarah did during the birth of our first child. She was incredibly helpful for not only my wife, but for myself as well. Husbands . . . if you are discussing the hiring of Sarah with your wife or partner, just stop. Hire her and thank yourself afterwards.

I actually spoke with Sarah following the birth of our son and told her I would easily pay her 4 times what she charged. She came to our house twice before the birth, was there for nearly the entire ordeal in the hospital, and has been a great consultant for breast feeding and several other topics afterwards.

I offer my full recommendation for her services and I know you and your family will be in good hands when you hire her to help with your pregnancy and birth. Her professionalism, knowledge, and abilities go well beyond her years. I hope this testimonial helps to convince you to bring her on board as part of your team as you welcome a new son or daughter to the world.

Please ask Sarah for my phone number if you have questions or would like to discuss her services. I welcome any discussions you might want to have to help alleviate any issues prior to hiring her as your doula.

Thank you again, Sarah. You have a bright future ahead of you.

Sarah was such an asset during the labor & delivery of our 4th child. My husband & I really questioned if we needed to have a doula for baby #4 - we've been there done that 3 times already without one, naturally and with epidurals. But in the end and after lots of recommendations to have one, we moved ahead with interviews.

After meeting Sarah for the first time, I left our meeting excited, energized, and like I've known her for awhile. I cancelled all my other doula interviews (Sarah was my only doula interview!) and signed her contract right away to secure a spot. I learned many new things from Sarah, things I've never heard before like how to speed up my labor, which were important as my labors are never short.

I really wanted a natural birth with this baby because our first and only natural birth was traumatic. I wanted to see if a true natural birth was as beautiful as people say it is. She was with us the entire step of the way and really encouraging. I couldn't imagine getting through labor and delivery without her. Sarah was also a support for my husband as he doesn't do well with hospitals and needles. I was able to focus on myself instead of worrying if he was doing ok or not.

Thank you so much Sarah for everything!

My husband and I chose to deliver at a birth center with limited interventions. When my contractions started (at 3 am!) Sarah came to our home. She helped me work through contractions and gave us guidance about when we could head to the birth center. She was by our side the entire time. Throughout my labor Sarah remained relaxed and was a calming presence in an otherwise excruciating experience. She helped remind me to breathe deep and slow and was able to help us understand what was happening when the midwives weren’t around. Sarah did so well at connecting with me through contractions and encouraging the progress I was making. After 18 hours my baby girl finally arrived weighing in at 10lbs! Without Sarah there to reassure us through the difficult contractions I don’t think my husband or I could have lasted unmedicated. She really helped my husband coach me and comfort me in the ways I needed. She had great tips for him and talked him through the difficult times too.

Throughout my pregnancy she was available for any questions I had about symptoms I was experiencing, birth and postpartum. A few weeks before my due date, she helped me decide on my birth plan and walked me through the options I had. She was professional but also friendly and accommodating. We were blessed to have her as our coach and supportive role during my labor and delivery! I would highly recommend her as your Birth Doula. She is sweet and passionate about families having a positive birth experience. Thanks Sarah!!

I had an awesome birth experience with Sarah. She enabled me to labor at home longer (which was my desire), She was a constant support to both me and my husbad --- timing contractions, helping me change positions every 20min or so, thinking ahead as to what would be needed next, massage, and more. I truly believe she made my labor faster and easier. I can't express how much of a difference it made to me to have someone constantly by my side knowing what was going on with my body to make the labor pains tolerable. I was able to labor at home and deliver a healthy baby boy at the hospital without any pain medication. Having that support was essential. Thank you Sarah.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Sarah Strayer as our Professional Doula. We had decided a Doula was not necessary for my wife's pregnancy until Doula services were highly recommended during our hospital-sponsored birth classes. Due to this recommendation we decided to interview a couple Doulas to see if we felt a connection with anyone. We interviewed two Doulas and both were fantastic. Sarah was our choice as we ultimately felt the most comfortable with her. We had two pre-labor meetings with Sarah in our home. She was very professional and brought up many items we had not previously considered or discussed concerning our birth plan. Sarah's professional and accomodating demeanor made us comfortable discussing any birth-related topic with her. My wife's due date was 12/31 and she ended up going into labor on Chrismas Eve. Sarah arrived at our residence that afternoon and my wife naturally gave birth with no pain medication to a healthy baby boy early Christmas morning (our first child). Sarah was absolutely fantastic throughout the labor and birth process and worked very well with the other health professionals. It was very important to her to provide both Mom and Dad with our ideal labor/birth experience. Sarah is extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and professional. We would absolutely use her again in another pregnancy. We couldn't imagine doing it without her.
