From the moment we met, Julia exuded empathy, expertise and encouragement. Julia helped our family as we welcomed our third child. She was a trusted, caring advisor as we got to know our third babe and settled into being a family of 5. Julia was an effective communicator, both in person and over text/phone. This gave us flexibility and quickly established trust, which were critical in having someone join an intimate experience for our family. She cared for ALL of us - from all things related to our new babe, to sweet nighttime run-ins with our toddlers, to extra support while partners traveled out of town. In my 3 postpartum experiences, I have found that the most impactful support comes from those who consider the full family in the wake of exciting (and sometimes daunting) change. Julia is the perfect intersection of deep newborn expertise with full-family empathy. I'm so glad we had the opportunity to work with her and highly recommend her to any and all families as they grow.

Julia is one of a kind ~ she is gentle, directed, confident, knowledgable, and kind. She came into my life when I was terrified ~ I was six days post partum and post surgery, my milk was barely coming in. As a single mother in a difficult situation and without family in town to help, Julia swept in and not only becane a resource and confidant for me, but a calming presence who wasn't afraid to get into the grit of postpartum when I needed her to.

Her knowledge of babies is also reassuring and calming. She was a resource for me on feeding, baby wearing, and sleeping, to name a few. She offered suggestions but didn't push when I wasn't ready.

I recommend her whole heartedly and hope every new mother has the good fortune of being cared for and respected in the way that I did by Julia.

We miss Julia!! I found out about Julia through a mutual friend, and I'm oh so glad I did! She had a calming effect as soon as she walked in the door, and I quickly felt like we were old friends. Kind, gentle, caring, thoughtful, knowledgeable, a great listener and so sweet with our baby boy. She really was the highlight of our week. Laundry folded, fresh veggies prepped, baby bathed and an adult to converse with! She gave tips and advice when asked, and never with any judgement. She was an invaluable part of my maternity leave and we love her dearly.

In the very vulnerable early days after my son was only a few weeks old, I first hired Julia to help me while my husband had to travel out of town. Instantly when I interviewed her, she was such a comforting presence, not just for me but for my son, who at this stage was borderline colicky and difficult to soothe. She even thoughtfully brought me healthy snacks to keep up my energy!

What I love about working with Julia is how perceptive and intuitive she is towards the baby and to my needs as well. She is full of helpful wisdom covering breastfeeding and baby's development, which was a bonus gift for me as a new mother without family around and a lot of questions. I love too that she has a natural ability to see a need without prompting and she takes care of it. She is so considerate of our home and our space, she always asks before doing anything. I appreciate that I can truly actually relax and enjoy her help when she is around!

Julia was a wonderful source of knowledge and support for us soon after our son was born. He was a colicky baby with some persistent health issues which further added to his discomfort. We were exhausted and unsure how to support him as first time parents. We sought assistance and found Julia.

She provided information and insight for soothing our son. She educated us about different approaches for infant care without judgement. She offered support and information about breastfeeding and eventually adding in solids to his diet. Julia shared recipes for increasing milk supply and improving overall health for mom. She encouraged us to be confident in our role as mom and dad and to trust our intuition when making decisions about our sons wellbeing. Additionally, Julia became an important source of emotional support during chalkening times With a new baby.

Most importantly we knew we could trust Julia to take exceptional care of our baby boy which allowed us to really take a break and relax. We will forever be greatful for her kindness, generosity, and attentive care of our whole family during a most vulnerable and special time.

Julia has been a wonderful asset to us as we added our third child to our family! She has been very flexible in pitching in with whatever we happened to need help with on a given day - dishes, laundry, food prep, tidying and engaging with the big kids and making them feel special. She is also excellent at melting into the background and working quietly, which is lovely when baby and maybe even mama are resting.

Julia is the best. She started with us when our second baby was 2 weeks old doing overnights. She is like a night fairy - she soothed my baby, got her to sleep for extended periods (so I could sleep), and helped with laundry and other quiet household tasks. My baby was very gassy in the beginning so after each feed, she needed to stay upright for over an hour. Julia was great at helping her gas with tummy rubs and slowly she got better and was able to sleep normally in the bassinet. Julia made the difference between enjoying my baby and having a good post-partum recovery versus being miserable (as I had been with my first baby). I wish Julia could be with us forever!

Julia-Rose was a very welcome addition to our household after our second was born. We utilized her services as a postpartum doula to help ease our firstborn into the transition, help make sure we all got fed, help us keep up on light house work, and was an open ear and heart when I just felt like chatting with another adult. Her warm and upbeat personality was a breath of fresh air and she immediately captivated and won over our older daughter. She was very comfortable with child and baby care, even offered tips and tricks that were helpful to me. I would highly recommend her services to any postpartum mama. She is professional yet warm and kind, and goes the extra mile every step of the way!

I worked with Julia my first week postpardum after my c-section. She was truly a life saver! She went to the store for me, buying healthy foods and last minute things for breastfeeding She made healthy food and was always placing snacks in front of me while refilling my water. She would change my sons diaper and then hand him back to me. She held him while I showered and helped with multiple nights so I could get some sleep. She answered all questions I had about newborn activity as well as my recovery and was very knowledgable.

Julia-Rose is a lifesaver. When I got home from the hospital with my baby boy, she immediately helped me to start adjusting. Soon, the house was clean and organized. The baby was calm and happy. I really can't say enough good things about Julia-Rose and the invaluable service she provides, and I'm so grateful to have found her and her network of wonderful postpartum doulas.

Julia's support was a life saver after the birth of our twins. She was gentle and skilled with my babies, and she was patient and sweet with me. During the night I never heard my babies cry, not once (now that's saying something!). She took excellent, loving care of them, allowing me to rest without worry. In the morning, I would find the house tidied up, breakfast made, laundry folded, lunches made. It really was amazing. I highly recommend her to any family looking for postpartum support. She is wonderful!

Julia-Rose was a great help to us postpartum. She bottle-fed our infant, prepped pumping supplies, got him to sleep, did dishes, tidied up, and did laundry all whlie we could sleep uninterrupted. She followed all of our instructions (she wrote them down and crossed them off as she did them). She was also very proactive and self-directed--she took our infant when she arrived, changed his diaper, etc. so we could get ready for bed. We would highly recommend her for her postpartum services.

Julia-Rose was absolutely wonderful while working with our family, especially with our twin girls.  She is very nurturing and patient, and can deftly handle caring for two newborns at once - which is no small task! She was also very helpful to me with some household duties and was always a very calm and kind presence in our home. I was able to get some sleep and peace of mind at the same time, which was so helpful. We are thankful to have worked with Julia-Rose, and would highly recommend her to any family!

Hi-
My above information is correct, but my married name is Liz Levesque.

Finding Julia has been such an incredible blessing for our family. She has been helping to care for our daughter since she was 4 months old. Julia is dependable, caring, and very sweet with our baby girl. As first time parents, the transition back to work was stressful for us, however Julia was instrumental at helping to put our minds at ease. We trust her completely. She is knowledgable and respondsible, but not pushy or judgemental. We are very grateful for her supportive kind nature and feel lucky to know her.

We were lucky that we've got the best doula and so happy that Julia-Rose Furman volunteered to be our doula while I was recovering from a caesarian delivery.  My toddler boy loved and liked her so much.  I felt very confident with her and trusted her whenever she took care of my newborn baby girl such as giving her a bath, giving her bottle, changing her diaper and taking care of my 2 kids while taking my nap.  She would help you the best she can and assisted you in many things if you needed it or she would even volunteer even you're not asking her to do things which is already beyond a doula service.  We really liked her so much and we were already missing her as our volunteered doula.

Julia has been caring for our 15 month old daughter for around a year now.  Being far from our own families, my husband and I needed to find someone we could trust with our newborn.  After interviewing several people, Julia was not only extremely qualified and experienced, she was quite personable.  She is a natural with our daughter and needs little instruction.  Now that our daughter is old enough to recognize, she is excited when Julia gets here.  I look forward to calling on her even more when the time comes to add to our family!
