Bethany was a wonderful doula!  I found out towards the end of my pregnancy that I had a complicated and high-risk birth, and I really wanted to a doula there to help my husband and I through the process.  At about 36 weeks pregnant, we met Bethany and we both felt very comfortable with her.  We got to know her quickly and she was there for us on the day that my son was born.  She came to our home when my contractions started and helped to support both of us through the process.  She followed us to the hospital and continued to support me through my drug-free labor.  She brought wonderful aroma therapy oils with her and also was there for all of my little requests - like taking photos and getting me fresh ice water.  I believe that without Bethany there, I may have opted for an epidural, but with her support I was able to not take any medications.  I'd strongly recommend Bethany's services for anyone who wants to enjoy their birth process.  Both my husband and I reflect on that day as a wonderful memory, and I believe that a big contributor to the positive outcome was Bethany's support!

I have had Bethany as my doula for my last two homebirths.  During one of my births, things got a bit crazy w/ blood loss; requiring some quick action.  My midwife was immensely impressed w/ Bethany's calm collectiveness that enabled the situation to be dealt w/ quickly and safely.  Other than having perfect trust in her ability to be present in an emergency, Bethany also provides a quiet peace during labor.  She isn't one to constantly be in your face w/ "helpful" hints/advice, but rather allows you to use her as needed, whether it be ice, drinks, checking to make sure that ISN'T the head coming out!, and just plain being calm....I have been very satisfied w/ her professionalism, her availability, her knowledge, her willingness to find out ANYTHING
