Attends hospital births? All Hospitals
I have supported clients in every hospital in the Omaha area. Depending on your birth wishes, certain facilities may not be the best fit for you. Helping you find an appropriate birth place is important to me as your doula.
Attends birth center births? All Birth Centers
I live within 15 minutes of Nebraska's only birth center. This is a wonderful option for women who desire low-intervention births.

Kate was the perfect doula for us. Her ability to clue in exactly to what my wife needed and ability to just do it was awesome. She helped her in ways that I wouldn't have even thought of. She is in tune enough to know when things need to happen and she advocated for us (not much was needed, but she was protective of my wife's comfort) and took care of all kinds of details that I wasn't thinking about. Kate's ability to tune in to exactly where my wife was with things and make timely and appropriate suggestions for positions, etc, were invaluable. I cannot say enough good about the service she provided us. We always knew she was there, supporting, lifting, caring and loving. Kate helped give my wife the birth she had been hoping and dreaming about. If only we had found her for the first three!

Kate is an amazing doula! She was incredibly knowledgeable, supportive of our desires, & completely encouraging throughout our entire birthing process. She really cared & wanted to come along side of us to make it the best for us! This was our first experience with a doula, but our second childbirthing experience. It was a completely different experience this time around having her support & experience. We knew we could trust her fully in the suggestions she made for us as we worked through labor. She was strong, steady, & focused for us & at the same time brought a calming, peaceful, positive dynamic that was so wonderful! In considering using a doula, we hesitated because we thought having another person in the room would make my husband feel replaced in the "coach" role. But as we shared this fear with Kate in our first meeting, she explained the true purpose of a doula & we could tell her desire was to encourage both of us throughout the process & specifically to help my husband feel even more in the loop & empowered to know how to help & support me. She was fantastic in every way! She anticipated our needs (offering ice chips, apple juice, jello, changing positions to speed up labor, having us rest, offering ideas for options on hospital procedures & I'm sure other things that I wasn't even aware of!). Even though my birthing experience ended in a Cesarean Section instead of a natural vaginal birth (due to my baby being turned in a difficult position & being a large baby), I have no regrets because I was able to experience & try all that I hoped to & felt focused, strong, calm, at peace & was able to cope with the pain much better than with my first baby's birth. My husband & I believe majorly due to the fact that we had Kate with us. I would fully recommend hiring her to anyone who is interested. It was definitely worth the investment. She was a total blessing! :)

Kate was a fantastic fit for our family. She had a lot of knowledge and resources to help us make our birth plan and while in the birthing room- really helped us navigate our way through childbirthing and labor. She has continued to be a great resource and postpartum. Definitely interview Kate to see if she could be a doula for you and your baby!
