Korin was absolutely amazing and I will be forever grateful for her soothing presence during the birth of my first little baby. From our first meeting I felt very much at ease with her personality, compassion and expertise. She was open to my preferences and also used her experience and knowledge to help me form opinions about important decisions. I liked that we were able to build a relationship long before the actual birth (she said I booked her way earlier than most clients. I like to plan and wanted to be sure to get on her schedule, and I recommend you do the same so you don’t miss out on an amazing doula!). On baby’s birthing day, her suggestion of trying the “elephant stomp” to get things progressing was truly a game-changer; I truly believe it’s what got everything moving so significantly and so quickly, thus avoiding the back-and-forth between home and the hospital. Things ended up moving much more rapidly than any of us expected (3 cm to baby in 4 hours!), and she was wonderful at each moment. She was ready with suggestions for comfort measures, and patient with running the warm shower head on my back for a very long time. I truly appreciate that Korin, as well as my husband and the nurse respected my birthing preferences and kept me using strategies other than an epidural, even though I requested one many, many times. When baby started to make his debut sooner than expected, she sprung into action to find a doctor to deliver him. I also loved that she came to check on our family a few days after we came home. It was helpful to debrief the whole experience, as of course it’s a total blur. Korin is truly a blessing and I look forward to birthing with her again in the future!

Hiring Korin was the best decision we could have made.  Her knowledge and attitude are scond to none.  We, honestly, had a lot of fun with her and cannot say enough how much we appreciate her. Her pre labor visits were very helpful and helped my husband understand what my needs were going to be during the birthing process.  She was a valuable member to our team because she was able to not only help me get through laboring but was able to help my husband stay focused on me and trying different techniques to help my comfort.  I found out I was going to be induced 3 weeks early and she made sure she was there even though it was out of our original contract dates.  Being a Doula is definitely Korins calling.  She's dynamic, has a great attitude, smart and is very easy to get along with.  Thank you Korin!  Teagen is lucky you were there to help Mom and Dad out!

Korin was an amazing support to me and my husband during my first birth texperience, September 2-4, 2016. My son Sam was born at Wentworth Douglass after 40 hours of labor 3 hours of pushing and Korin was there for every stage. We met Korin at her birth class. I have hip dysplasia, my mother had two caesarean sections, and my best friend had a cesarean after a difficult labor - I was looking for a way to increase my odds of a vaginal delivery. We already liked Korin, and I wanted someone that I knew and trusted at our birth. She was available by text or email before the birth, and came to our house twice. She knew how I felt about vaginal delivery, my aversion to pitocin, my hips, and she helped us visualize a flexible birth plan.I went into labor and the contractions were immediately fast. Korin created a calm atmosphere and complemented my husband’s support, and of my mother and mother-in-law. She was positive, listened to me, helped me into the whirlpool tub, walked the halls with us - stopping with me. She sang with us, made sure I was hydrated, got popsicles, held my hand when the contractions became intense. During some bad contractions, I remember looking up to the end of my bed and seeing Korin’s calm and kind face, helping me breathe. Korin stayed awake at the hospital with me for over 24 hours, until I was dilated enough for an epidural, which she talked through with me before I had one, not offering her opinion, but supporting me. When the midwife considered a pitocin drip, Korin asked me what I wanted, supporting me. Pushing was difficult for me because of my hip dysplasia, but Korin helped me through it. She helped me breathe, kept hydrated, held my hand, and provided focus to me - helping support me, while the midwife made sure I had a safe delivery. I was overjoyed when I held my son for the first time. I am grateful to Korin for helping set the tone for a safe and very (although long and exhausting) joyful birth experience.

Korin supported us in the birth of our baby girl in July 2014. This was our second birth, but our first time working with a doula, and we are so happy with the decision! We decided to choose a doula primarily because our first birth experience was long and complicated  - an induced twin birth that resulted in one vaginal delivery and one C-Section. While our twins were blessedly healthy, the birth experience itself felt very out of our hands and stressful. This time, we wanted to do everything possible to try to have a calm, empowering VBAC. We were so lucky to get just what we hoped for, and Korin was a big part of helping that happen.

Our baby came 4 weeks early and we ended up at a hospital that we hadn't expected. I texted Korin just after my water broke, and despite the early labor and change of location, Korin was immediately available and engaged. She beat me to the hospital!

My husband had initially been wary that a doula would replace his role in the birthing room, but this couldn't have been farther from the truth. Korin helped him better understand how to support me during labor by discussing positions, breathing, affirmations, etc. in the months leading up to the birth. And during labor, she was a boost to his confidence by making gentle suggestions and supporting his direct involvement. We will both be forever grateful for this.

From the first time I met Korin, I knew that her personality would be a match for us. She is kind, gentle, professional, unobtrusive, knowledgeable, and passionate about childbirth. She was certainly the right choice for our family, and I wish everyone had the opportunity to work with her in their birth experience. I highly recommend Korin's doula services.

My husband and I decided to hire a doula after countess frtiends reccommmended it. This was our first first baby and we were quite nervous. After meeting Korin for the first time we felt very comfortable with her kind and gentle personality. I did have a hard birth that did end in c-section. Korin helped me labor through the pain with encourgement and stepped in to help ease the pain when needed. Even after having to get interventions- due to induction- Korin never left for all 36+ hours of the process until our little man was born. She helped discuss with us options presented and added another ear to the conversation which is important when you are tired and worn and are not able to understand everything.

Our expereience with Korin was great and we would highly reccommend her!

My husband and I could not have been more pleased with our choice to have Korin White as our doula for the birth of our first child this past December. Her calm and supportive presence throughout our pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum visits was invaluable and contributed to us having an incredibly positive, empowering experience. I met Korin several months before becoming pregnant and knew from that first meeting that she would be the first person I would ask to be our doula when we needed one. It was her down to earth and strong but gentle character that made me feel at ease as well as her evident knowledge and experience that demonstrated why she would be my ideal doula. Throughout my time as her client, she was always dependable, reliable, flexible and easy to get in touch with. Her obvious passion for everything "birth" makes her an absolute pleasure to work with and undoubtedly enhaced our experience. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking doula care!

From the first time we met, I felt completely comfortable with Korin. It was obvious that she is very passionate about what she does. Being able to talk to her about any pregnancy questions was a great help. When I was in labor, her presense was invaluable. Korin was so supportive of my needs and also in helping move my labor forward. I ended up with a long labor with a few minor complications and without Korins help, I think I might have ended up with a C section. She has also been a great help with all of my breast feeding questions. I would certainly recommend Korin to anyone considering having a doula at their birth!

Korin and I had actually grown up together.  We played volleyball and took classes throughout high school.  Years later we ended up back together teaching at the same school.  Our friendship was strong so it was natural for her to be my doula with the birth of my first child.  Korin's spirit is so encouraging and pure.  She loves moms and babies and that love comes through her work as a doula. She was a welcome member to our little family for the duration of our pregnancy.  Korin was knowledgeable about hypnobirthing, the method of pain management we used.  She worked with my husband, sister and mom; teaching them how to support, comfort and encourage me in labor.  I loved the time we got to spend together.  She just had a way of putting my heart at ease.  When it came time to labor, Korin was always there for me; awake even when my family snoozed away.  Korin patiently attended to anything I needed, even spraying me with a shower head for an hour.  Korin took notes throughout our labor and wrote a beautiful birth story for us.  It was amazing hearing the story and realizing how amazing hypnobirthing is!  Hours felt like minutes.  Even today, Korin is an advocate for mothers.  She is always planning events for mothers-to-be; movies, documentaries, classes and workshops.  Korin has dedicated her free time to becoming the best doula possible.  Korin is a beautiful human and a wonderful doula.

Korin was wonderful to work with. She was our doula for our third child. We didn't know what to expect at first, but one we started working with Korin we knew we made the right choice. She helped my husband by showing him ways that me could help me during labor Which helped us so much and made hom able to be a very special part of the process. I set out wanting a natural birth and with Korin's help and support I was able to give birth to a healthy 7lb14 oz baby boy. Korin also stayed after the birth to help me nurse and was available to answer many of my breast feeding questions afterward. My sweet baby is now a year and I have been able to successfully nurse him throughout the year. If you are considering a doula I highly recommend it and recommend Korin White.
