Hallie was a godsend in those early days after the birth of my daughter. Her first session was the night I returned from the hospital. She welcomed us with dinner and helped my husband and I put our baby to bed. I will never forget how much she helped in those blurry, teary early days. She also helped with lactation advice which was invaluable to me at that time. It was a great decision to book a post-partum doula but even better that I chose Hallie!

Hallie was a great help to me in the weeks after my twins were born.  She was kind and caring in making sure that I was taking care of myself in the early postpartum weeks.  With twins I don't know how else I would have been able to sleep!  She was also very efficient in helping with all of the household tasks that take up so much time soon after babies are born.  It was so nice that she could just walk into our house and assess what needed to be done, without a lot of guidance.  Even though the twins were not my first children I still had a lot of postpartum questions that she helped answer, especially around lactation and nursing.  I'm so glad Hallie was there to help me!

Among all the decisions my husband and I made throughout my pregnancy, hiring Hallie was hands down the best one. The birth of our son and first week postpartum were far more challenging than we had anticipated, and it was such a relief to have Hallie at our home when we arrived from the hospital. She provided much-needed support that first day and for several days thereafter over the next month. Hallie not only offered invaluable breastfeeding and baby-care advice, but she also did numerous loads of laundry, prepared many crockpot meals, and swept and tidied our home. She even cleaned the microwave! Hallie’s knowledge, compassion, and kindness gave us the confidence we newbies required for the first weeks of parenthood. We’d recommend her services to any new parent.

As a father Hallie’s postpartum doula support allowed me to spend much more time bonding with my brand-new-baby and mommy than I would have otherwise. I was grateful for her help with the household tasks, including cooking, cleaning, and laundry, that would have otherwise kept me quite busy for the first few weeks after our baby arrived. I would encourage families to consider hiring Hallie not just for the beneift of the mother, but also to allow partners and other family members more time to get to know their new child.

Hallie provided postpartum doula services for our family for the first three weeks after the birth of our first child. Her presence in our home was helpful, unobtrusive, and calming. Hallie helped with household tasks, including cooking, as well as answering all my new mother questions with expertise and patience! Hallie was also very responsive to our changing needs on any given day, and was there to support our goals. I felt that working with Hallie was a worthwhile investment towards getting our family started off on the right foot, and I would heartily recommend her to other families.

Hallie’s help made our transition from one to two children so much easier and a more positive experience for everyone. In those first few days after coming home from the hospital, everything can feel so overwhelming. Having Hallie in our home to support the transition was amazing. She encouraged me to rest and having her there to watch the baby really let me relax and know that everyone was in good hands. She prepared several very delicious and nutritious meals for us during her days with us with leftovers for additional days. Although I had breast fed my oldest child, it was so helpful to hear her suggestions and tips to make breastfeeding an easier experience for baby and mama! Hallie was a supportive sounding board for how to integrate older children with a new baby, breast feeding advice and support and ideas to handle newborn sleep challenges. I’m so grateful for her time an attention during this period of adjustment for our family. I know her support helped me to feel more confident in caring for my children and relaxed knowing I had a little extra help at home.

Hallie was amazing. She helped out after we had our second child and truly was a godsend. Not only did she provide physical support, but she also provided emotional support. Her realistic view on life after baby (whether its a first, second or more) made it very easy to connect and talk through not only questions and concerns but also to share the joys of the first few weeks. She was not just a valuable resource for me but also for my husband. I feel very lucky to have had her support and knowledge and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to others and will definitely use her again if a third child comes along.

Hallie came to our home on two separate occasions, each for 4 hours.  She was a great help to me, a mother of three.  Hallie came when I was two months post pardum and at that point I was feeling pretty good and thought, "this will be nice to have someone come to help me but I'm not sure exactly what she's going to do.  I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job."  I think I was in denial that I needed help.  I had A LOT of laundry to do and I had MANY organization projects that had fallen to the back burner.  I was also just plain tired.  So when Hallie came and asked what I needed help with I pointed her toward the most obvious area of need: the laundry.  Without hesitation she went to work washing and drying and folding.  I still am in awe of how focused and efficient she was!  It might sound a little odd but simply having my laundry done for me for two days was so incredibly helpful that it gave me a boost of enthusiasm for all the other every day work I need to do.

While Hallie folded my laundry, she talked with me about how I was doing and it was so refreshing to share with someone outside my circle of family and friends.  She says in her personal statement that she seeks to be a companion to the mother and I truly felt that she was.  I was very open with her about how I was feeling and realized, through sharing with her, that I did feel overwhelmed and that it was absolutely fine to feel that way.  This, in turn, increased my confidence as a wife and mom.

I would sum up my experience with Hallie as being a very enjoyable, peaceful and uplifting part of my transition into life with a new baby.  I would highly recommend her services, even if you feel like you don't need the extra help.  Hallie is a beautiful, nurturing woman who desires to make a new mother's experience be as positive as possible.  I am so glad she came to serve me and my family!

Hallie was a great resource to have around after we had our 2nd. Not only is a baby a lot of work (labor of love mind you) the second was a huge leap in activity. No sleeping while the baby is sleeping, the toddler needs attention now... Having Hallie be able to come over and let us have a break, sleep, eat, find our sanity. She help prepare some meals and keep our house in somewhat of an order as well as introduce us to some resources, i.e groups near us and websites that had helpful information. I would recommend her to any family that has a +1 coming soon. It is surprising how much you forget between kids and she is a fantastic person to be looking out for you.

Hallie provided support in multiple, much needed ways to our (growing) family! Although going through the newborn phase for the second time wasn't new to us, we welcomed Hallie's helpful tips for daytime napping and supporting our changing family dynamic. In addition to providing helpful tips for caring for our new baby, Hallie also took care of things around our house for a few hours (laundry, dinner, caring for our children) so that we could do something we hadn't found time to do yet--write our birth story in our son's baby book! She was calm, reassuring, and confident (three characteristics we needed in a postpartum doula). We would highly recommend Hallie and her postpartum doula services.

Hallie's help was much appreciated after the birth of my second child. She performed a variety of tasks during her session: playing with my toddler while I ran errands, caring for my infant, making lunch, and tidying up our house. Since Hallie intuitively knew where help was needed, I was able to maximize my time both being productive and relaxing without stopping to give directions or showing her where things were located. With her pleasant, calm demeanor and genuine concern for each member of our family, Hallie was a great help and wonderful part of my immediate post-partum time. Additionally, she made a point to focus conversation on my needs and worries, which was comforting since her experience as a fellow mother of two little ones was exactly what I was going through. I'd recommend Hallie to any new or seasoned mother who is looking for a little...or a lot....of support during a post-partum experience.

I LOVED having Hallie come soon after I had my baby! I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She was so generous to cook me a meal and sweep my floor while I slept – three great things happening at the same time! She also watched the baby and my husband got to mow the lawn, another thing that had been neglected. I liked everything in the “Well Mama” bag, especially the sitz bath and mother’s milk tea. Being a first-time mom, I was unsure about everything I was doing. The thing I loved most about Hallie's visits was having her be a listening ear to my concerns about everything. It was so nice to have someone to talk to who has been through this recently (twice!) and could offer helpful advice. Hallie took the time to listen to my breastfeeding problems and share her experience. I could tell she was truly interested in helping me. She is a great listener, understanding, empathetic, and knowledgeable about babies/postpartum issues. Hallie helped build my confidence by showing me how to swaddle tighter, soothe the baby, and breastfeed on my side. I’m so grateful for all of her help and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a postpartum doula!

Hallie was kind, compassionate, and honest with me. She helped me realize that I needed to also take care of myself as well as the baby for us to have a sustainable routine. I also took a nap for the first time in two weeks while home with baby, and while baby and I both rested, things magically got done around the house. Her help with household tasks, the meal, and baby care needs helped me for weeks to come. I really, truly appreciated Hallie’s help and would recommend her visiting you or any of your friends to make sure they get off on the right foot as well!
