Debra was heaven sent, I did my very first  surrogacy  And the moment I met her I felt like I knew her for a very long time :) during the pregnancy as most pregnancies go I was emotional and I felt Like the parents of the baby didn't understand how i felt or i felt bullied the typical emotions, so I called deb and she stopped she was doing and talked to me and helped me understand texts don't have emotion and at the same time she talked to the parents explianing how I felt. I also like to add shes amazing with time I went into false labour and  was late she still came i didnt feel alone or scared when I saw her face :) she gave  excellent advice and it was nice having her by my side. During  The labor she was encouraging and telling me how strong I was and how great I was doing and at the very end there was slight complications I was panicking and she told me everything is going to be fine she was very soothing and I just instantly relaxed because at the end I knew she was going to be there  when I was done and she didn't leave my side until couple of hours after and even during she text me making sure I was OK she messaged me the whole time I was in the hospital for four days she's a lifesaver couldn't have done it without her I stayed positive with her help thank you so much even now 4 months later we still keep in touch

Words can not even begin to express our amazing experience with Debra. She is truly a amazing, and extrodinary woman!

As first time parents pregnancy, labour/delivery, and post pardum issues caused feelings of anxiety, and doubt. Debra was there for us every step of the way. Answering all our questions promptly, and offering support and reassurance. We greatly apprecieated her pre natal visits, as well as her home visits post pardum

The day that our daughter was delivered was a whirl wind of emotions. Debra was there for me every step of the way and arrived promptly at the hospital after she was altered I had been admitted to L&D. She was there for me througfh every contraction, offering support and encouragement. Thanks to Debra I remember my Labour experience as one of Love, enpowerment, and courage. She stayed with us until we were snug, and warm, in our recovery room with our new daughter. She did not leave until she made sure we were all taken care of.

I would highly recommend Debra as a doula to anyone; whether it be 1st time parents or 5th. I could't even imgaine gong through this amazing experience without her.

We truly thank her from the bottoms of our hearts!

Having Debra as our doula was extremely helpful leading up to delivery of our little girl. Debra was helpful at supporting us with questions that we had about the birthing process, developing our goals for the birth and feeling confident with breastfeeding. We chose to use Debra due to her many years of expereince and her calming disposition. Having a doula help to give us confidence on advocating for ourselves with our birthplan was excellent. The main area that I found very helpful was having Debra checking in on us post delivery. She came for a house visit to help with breastfeeding within days of delivering. This gave me the confidence to be able to exclusively breast feed knowing I was doing it properly. I was provided with reading resourses and dvd as well as helpful web resourses. This was an excellent investment to educated myself to prepare for birthing.

Debra was an absolute pleasure to work with. After speaking to numerous Doula's Debra's calm and easy going attitude won me over instantly. She was very informative during my pregnancy and my labour. She provided a great deal of information on what my body was going through during labour and without a bias opinion on what choices I should make. She was supportive with any birth plan I wanted. She provided a calm and nurturing atmosphere. She was excellent with breathing exercises and with just a simple hand on my shoulder gave me the support I needed. During the labour and delivery Debra made notes and took photographs.

After our daughter was born I was presented with a timeline of my birth story and beautiful photos of my daughter being born. Just that alone was worth having Debra with us on our special day. Being able to get the full picture of what really happened that you can't get when you're focussing on your body. Working with Debra was a great experience. I would not have done anything differently.

Debra Bowser came highly recommended after talking to many people in the Doula industry. It only took a few moments during our first meeting to feel her supportive / calm nature and we knew she was a perfect match to join us in welcoming our daughter into the world. After loosing our first daughter there were many emotional challenges attached to entering into another labor. Debra helped us to think about how we were going to cope with these challenges and face related anxieties. Her support helped us be fully present during the birth of our daughter Elise. Thank you Debra for your pregnancy tips, birthing experience that provided us with reassurance, and your newborn advice. It was a wonderful feeling to know you were only a text/phone call away to help with whatever we needed. Debra Bowser's kind-loving-caring professional demeanor makes her an exceptional Doula. I highly recommend her to join you on your journey of welcoming your precious baby into your arms.

guidance. support. love.

It’s hard to know what your birth story will be... Although the end result is the same, everyone has their own story, their own journey and their own miracle. Michael and I had a definite vision for the birth of our daughter; we wanted things to be relaxed, casual and fun - just like us. Even though we felt that we would labour very well together, the idea of having a person beside us made so much sense. Would a successful team go into the biggest game of their lives without a coach? Debra’s guidance in the months & weeks leading up to our daughters birth was something that was so incredibly helpful. In chatting with her, we became more prepared and educated and in the process were even more focused on each others wishes and needs during the birth. In the long & anxious days leading up to our daughter’s birth, who was 12 days over due, Debra maintained constant contact with us to ensure questions were answered and little signs of labour were explained. She provided ideas of how to get our little one ‘moving’ and ensured that everything was how it was supposed to be... the baby would be coming soon. On the day that Willow was born, Debra guided us through the waves of labour, encouraging us to find our way on our journey to meet our baby girl. We were supported constantly by her words of wisdom and experience, her soft touch when Michael needed to rest and her endless presence if we ever needed reassurance. I suppose we anticipated all of the above, after all we knew what role a Doula plays in a birth. What we didn't expect was the overwhelming sense of love we felt with her by our sides before, during and after Willow’s birth. I believe that when you are in the presence of love, you can do anything. Thank you Debra, for all the love you shared with us the day that Willow was born. We will be forever grateful and blessed to have had you beside us.
