Debbie was the most amazing doula! It was so nice coming home from the hospital and not having the normal newborn stress of no sleep! She was so helpful with household chores, taking the load off of me and being A strong support during a usual stressful time. She became part of our family and we love her dearly!

Words cannot express how I feel about the care and compassion Ms. Debbie provided while working with our family during pregnancy and postpartum! She instantly felt like a part of the family!  She was there for me during some very vulnerable moments during my pregnancy and delivery and that is something I will cherish for the rest of my life! I highly recommend hiring a doula and through Mommy's Way!!

As a first time mom desiring a completely natural birth, I explored the idea of working with a doula. But, my due date was quickly approaching and I had not found a doula. I reached out to Debbie with hopes that she would have a doula available for me and she certainly did! Debbie was so personable during my consult and made me feel as if I was her only client. She took my personal needs into consideration when matching me with my doula. Marcy was the perfect doula for me! My labor/delivery journey was LONG and tiresome but Marcy supported me fully in my desires to have no interventions and a complexly natural birth. She was at the hospital with us for 16 hours and never made me feel like a burden. I am extremely grateful for Debbie and Marcy. Despite me wanting to give up many times, Marcy stood beside me and provided the comfort and encouragement I needed to push forward. I can't imagine what my journey would've been like without the Mommy's Way Doula team!

Mrs. Debbie Swinson is the absolute best person to have by your side when delivering. She holds your hand, knows all the points to massage during contractions to ease the pain, and encourages you with scripture and reminds you of God's sweet promises during the hardest moments. I highly recommend Mrs. Debbie and her team as the absolute best Doula service out there!

Our family highly recommends Debbie and her team of doulas! We were blessed with twin boys in September of 2021 and Debbie helped us with the transition from 1 to 3 children while staying healthy and on top of our game. They took fantastic care of our newborns and their experience with twins was a huge help. We had help for the night shifts and day time shifts which we found ideal to get some "me-time" during the daylight hours :) We completely trust Debbie and her team to care of our babies as we would which made for a nice nights rest. If you're thinking about a doula service it's totally worth the investment, especially if it's your second or third child. Congrats mamas!

Debbie and her team of amazing doulas have been absolute lifesavers for us as we navigate life with a newborn and toddler. It was a rough start for us as my husband and I were both very sick upon our return from the hospital, and these ladies stepped in and up in a major way, tending to ALL of our needs.

We've had several ladies help us both during the day and night, and all have been incredibly warm, knowledgeable and easy/wonderful to have around. They make themselves at home in a very unobtrusive way and treat our babies with so much love and care. We even had one join us for a weekend away with extended family to help care for 2 newborns and a toddler!

Debbie and her team are extremely accommodating to your family's every need, and I couldn't recommend them more. Do yourself a favor and make this special time with your baby extra enjoyable by seeking help through Mommy's Way!

My husband and I learned so much from the Comfort Measures and Labor Positions virtual class with Mommy's Way Doula Services. Courtney, one of the doulas that works with Mommy's Way, shared a wealth of information, demonstrated techniques, and helped us as we practiced positions. We came away with so much knowledge, and feel much more prepared for the labor process.  Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend the virtual classes!

Debbie is very passionate about her work supporting expecting moms and families,  I'm so glad that we had the opportunity to work with her! She was always available to answer any questions and she always made me feel comfortable assuring I was not a bother, reaching out if I needed. I will forever be grateful to Debbie for her time and patience. I was pleased fully with the service provided and highly recommend her as you welcome your new born child.

My wife and I welcomed our first child almost a month ago and Debbie has been an absolute life saver since the day we got home from the hospital. She has been our biggest resource and the person we reach out to with questions, not to mention that she feels like a family member and someone we trust completely with our son. We booked her for a couple weeks for night shifts, and after our first night with her and understanding her value to our family, we added a few weeks with her. We could not recommend Debbie enough for her services!

Debbie is an amazing person. She is caring, extremely gifted with infants (and moms!) and will put you completely at ease the first time you meet her. She was truly a gift to our family and cared for our newborn son allowing us to get some much needed rest while knowing he was in her loving and capable hands. She also permitted my husband and I to get out for a date night becasue we could trust her to care for him and for our toddler daughter at a point I would not have been comfortable leaving them with anyone else. She is truly wonderful at what she does!

Debbie - did an outstanding job for us. I would highly recommend her to anybody that has the need for both day and night time help. My wife and i were in a jam because we both work and my wife only had 8 weeks off for maturnity leave. We tried to get by but after a week of getting up every few hours we needed some help. We reached out to Debbie and it was one of the best things we ever did. She stayed at our house 3 nights a week for a couple of months helping with the feedings and changing of diapers for our baby girl.

I found Debbie when my first baby was going through a sleep regression. I was sleep deprived and having a hard time and after exchanging messages with her, I could tell she was a loving and caring person who wanted to help me. She came in my house instantly taking off her shoes and washing her hands. She asked ”What can I do for you sugar?”, and I knew I’d hit the jackpot! We talked for a few minutes and my child took immediately to her. I felt comfortable enough to go to my bedroom and sleep for a few hours while they played downstairs. I was so thankful for her and her huge heart. She was exactly the sweet southern nurturer I thought she was.

When I had my second baby, I knew Debbie was the only one I wanted to help me. She came to my home and helped with my new baby as well as my 16 month old. I had a C-section which meant no lifting of my toddler for 6 weeks so I needed help!!! It’s really challenging to have a breastfeeding newborn and a toddler so Debbie stepped in giving my toddler the attention, activity and support she needed. I felt like my toddler was happier and transitioned better because she received more hands on love that you can’t always offer after having surgery and while taking care of a newborn.

Debbie is just like having a loving family member in your home. She is willing to help however she can and is a nurturing person with a heart of gold. I will always be thankful to have her in my life and will continue to use her for all care of our children for vacations, date nights, and when I need time to recharge. We LOVE Mrs. Debbie!!!

Debbie was fantastic. She provided her services as a doula for approximately 5 weeks when our daughter was between 4-9 weeks old. Her presence is so calming and she knows exactly what the baby and her mom need to get settled in their new life together. She was always responsive, on time and many times went above and beyond to make sure I was getting the rest I needed while helping to get the baby on a schedule. I would highly recommend her services to anyone in search of a post-partum doula.

I can't say enough about how wonderful Debbie has been!! She is an absolute pleasure to work with, and to be with, and she loves our daughter and treats our daughter like her own. I have complete and total trust in her and know that when she is caring for our daughter, that our daughter is safe and nurtured and in the most capable hands. Debbie also has an easy way about her and really knows how to be calm and help others to be calm during what can be an intense situation at times. Debbie is also extremely knowledgeable as a pre-birth and birth doula as well as post partum doula. The skill and knowledge that she brings to the table are extensive. Debbie is also extremely contentious and hard working and giving of herself. I honestly can't imagine how we would have made it through the process without her! I would not hesitate to use her services. They are far and away superior among those available!! I am forever grateful for all that she has done for my family!!

Debbie is incredibly adept, warm, and professional! We have had a wonderful experience with her and I would highly recommend her services to any new parents. We are so lucky to have met Debbie and we knew right away she was a perfect fit for us. You could tell Debbie was kind, casual, easy going, personable, and friendly. She was also very passionate and experienced in attending and supporting births. Debbie was very approachable, eager to help and available whenever we needed her. She provided us resources and helpful advice throughout the pregnancy. During labor Debbie came extremely prepared, ready to tackle anything thrown her way! She was focused on ensuring my needs were met – making sure I always had water and fuel to get through a very long and very difficult labor. Debbie offered various pain coping techniques and positions to try and always seemed to know when to step in and perform comfort measures. I am grateful we had a coach to help us each step of the way. As a bonus Debbie also took lots of candid ‘in the moment’ pictures that captured the special moments we may have easily forgotten.

Debbie is awesome! She is very accomodating to schedule changes and long hours. Debbie has expertise dealing with newborns as well as toddler and up.  She spent nearly 12 hours with my three children (3 kids under 3), and they had a wonderful day.  She has also kept my babies when they were newborns, taking care of them through the night and helping them get adjusted to sleeping in the crib and loving their baths.  She is first class, as good as they come.

My wife and I met Debbie shortly after the birth of our two boys in July.  She came highly recommended from our birth doula.  From the moment of our first meeting with her to discuss expectations and requirements we felt an instant connection to her and an overall great comfort level.  As first time parents we were very hesitant about who we would bring in to be with our boys and Debbie right form the get go has eased those concerns.  We started out with her working roughly every other night to allow us time to rest in the evenings, this was very important to me as my wife had suffered some post partum depression very soon after the birth.  Debbie allowed us the flexibility to not only take care of our children but also ensure we were taken care of as well.  On a nightly basis she has assisted in all feeds and diaper changes for both the boys, helped with any light housework that is needed to be done such as dishes, and has gone above and beyond to even prepare coffee in the morning for my wife.  She is very accomidating to our needs by staying late or coming in early if needed.  She has been great with the boys for the past four months and we are greatful for the help and advice she has provided along the way.  As we have started to transition of a doula and as the boys are sleeping most of the night now Debbie has been a great help in allowing us the freedom as a couple to do alittle bit more together.  We had not heard of a post partum doula prior to our pregnancy and after going through everything and being with Debbie I would not change a thing.  I highly recommend Debbie to anyone especially those with twins as she is great at caring care of the whole family.

Debbie was our birth doula. When the doctor informed me that a C-section was necessary for my son’s health and wellbeing Debbie helped to reassure me and remind me that I still had the right to follow the requests on the birth plan. She also gave me some questions to ask the doctor to keep me fully informed and relaxed. I was overwhelmed with emotions. I was saddened that I wouldn’t have the labor experience, frightened for my son’s health, and overwhelmed that in less than an hour my son would be delivered. Debbie helped me calmly process all the emotions and helped me to be reassured and excited for the impending birth. After the C-section she helped to bring such joy and reassurance to the process. I cannot begin to articulate the amount of care, reassurance, and feeling of support that Debbie has brought to us. She has gone out of her way on numerous occasions to find answers or seek advice if I have a concern. The knowledge, support, and genuine and sincere concern for our well-being that Debbie demonstrates is the most comforting thing to have as a new mom. Our family could not be more thankful. Debbie has truly touched our lives and will always hold a special spot in our hearts.

On 5-5-15, Debbie came to our home where she helped me labor until she felt it was time for me to head to the hospital. She rode with us to the hospital where I was checked and admitted. Debbie stayed by my side through each and every contraction. She knew my desire was to have a completely natural birth and she helped me achieve that. She made every effort to comfort me by placing cool rags on my face,  giving me water and ice chips, holding counter pressure on my back & hips, talking me through the contractions keeping me calm and reassuring me that I was doing a good job. She helped me through the pushing stage which was very long and tiring. She made sure my birth went exactly how I desired for it to be. She made sure we were settled and baby had breastfed before she left that night. It made me feel so much better having her with me throughout my labor and delivery. It was a weight lifted off of me & my family to have someone experienced with births to assist me. She truly helped me get the birth I have always dreamed of having! Thank you Debbie for all you do! I would highly recommend her as a birth duola!

I cannot say enough good things about Debbie! I have twins who at four months were refusing to take bottles, which meant that I was stuck at home or having to take them wherever I went. We had tried everything to no avail. Within minutes of coming to my home for the first time Debbie had both of them drinking bottles! We also were having a terrible time with sleeping, at four months the girls were still up every 1-2 hours. We were exhausted. We had Debbie come several nights, on the first night she was able to help the girls sleep 5 hours! They have remained on a much better schedule at night so that I am able to get more rest. Miss Debbie is professional, nurturing, and extremely knowledgable. She has given me valuable tips and support with nursing and with her help I am happy to say that my twins are still exclusively breastfeeding at five months. Every time Debbie enters my house there is a sense of calmness where there is often chaos. She even spent some time playing with my older children. She loves her work and it shows. I would recommend her to anyone, she is amazing!

One of my best friends, Carrie, was about to become a first-time mom, and she was doing it on her own. I told her I would be honored to be her birth partner. Since neither of us had had a child before and were both nervous, Carrie wanted to have a doula too. As a single mom, she needed a doula who was willing to generously offer her services for free. The first doula Carrie chose cancelled mere weeks before her due date (due to an out-of-state family situation). To our everlasting gratitude, Debbie Swinson swooped in to the rescue!

The first time I met Debbie was at the hospital on the day Carrie was being induced. We had spoken and texted beforehand, and she came prepared with everything we could need. Debbie intuited when to step forward and offer Carrie advice and encouragement, and when to step back and let Carrie handle the experience as she wanted to. She assisted hospital staff in the L&D room and was very knowledgable about everything that was happening. When intervention became necessary, she advised me how to gather the necessary information that would help Carrie make the best decision for herself and her baby. Debbie's constant and comforting presence in the L&D room allowed me to take a couple of much-needed breathers, and she stayed awake and ready as Carrie and I caught a few hours of sleep when we could.

Debbie played an essential role in Carrie's labor and delivery, took the first photos of Carrie's newborn son, and helped Carrie begin breastfeeding. She has also followed up with us in the weeks since, asking how we are all doing and scheduling a postpartum visit. Debbie's skilled, calm, and reassuring presence was truly a gift for these first-timers! I wholeheartedly recommend her.

My husband and I were given a gift of postpartum doula care after the birth of our second child.  At first, we were very hesitant to have strangers in our home during the life transition.  After meeting and working with Debbie, we couldn't have been more wrong.  She quickly became like a member of our family.  She was a HUGE help in my recovery and adjustment to the new "normal".  She was the only doula, out of three, that our son took to and enjoyed being with.  We even worked with the agency that she was with to replace the others with Debbie so that we we only had her as our doula.  She is WONDERFUL with babies and definitely has "the thouch".  She very much lives up to the name of "baby whisperer".  We continue to have her babysit for us even after our contract has been completed.  What a gem that we have found!!!

I first had the privilege of meeting and working with Debbie the weekend of my youngest sister's wedding. My daughter was just six days old. Debbie was calm and comforting and completely at ease in my home with all three of my children. She was attentive to my newborns needs, as well as mine, and quick to respond to cues, verbal or otherwise. She has an incredible amount of knowledge and expertise in the areas of infant care, from nursing to massage to sleep-wake cycle, etc. Debbie is perceptive and helpful in the least intrusive way possible. She gets the job done while supporting and empowering the mother.
