Wow, Deb has brought SUCH positive change into our home with her support -- after three weeksof working with her, we are ALL sleeping through the night.  I didn't think it was possible to get to this point but here we are! Not only has sleep improved dramatically, but so has our toddler's daytime demeanor and his ability to listen / manage emotions etc.  We also gained confidence in loving boundary setting as parents which is seriously the gift that keeps on giving. Deb was so helpful, honest, kind, patient, and really responsive in the moments we needed her the most (there was some hard work getting to this point!), and I know we couldn't have navigated this process without her.  She also provided lots of options / approaches to improving sleep and helped us decide which one was the best fit for our family -- not just a one-size-fits-all approach.  The method we picked was a great match for our son's needs. It took work and commitment on our part, but investing in our family's sleep was SO worth it.  We highly recommend working with Deb ??

This is my second time working with Deb and I'm so grateful for her help with prepping for labor and supporting me during labor and immediately postpartum. She always responded promptly and thoroughly to all my text messages and calls. I was able to have a successful VBAC (with painful back labor) with Deb's support and reassurance. She kept telling me, we just need to manage one contraction at a time and she rubbed my back during the painful contractions. I learned so much of labor is mental and Deb's support was priceless. Her help also took a lot of pressure off of my husband during labor, which allowed him to be more present in the moment.

Deb also did a few postpartum visits with me and one overnight, which gave me the opportunity to catch up on sleep so I could be the best mom to my toddler and new baby. She made me a wonderful homecooked meal and helped me process my birth experience. Deb is a busy lady, because she is THAT GOOD. If you are lucky enough to book with Deb, you will not regret it! She will always be someone I am deeply grateful for knowing and working with!

Deb was a life saver! Our son had no sleeping skills, the books and programs we’d bought weren’t helping and my maternity leave was ending. My husband and I were desperate! Deb came in and not only taught us how to sleep train properly but also taught us about the developmental factors that play into it. She helped us design a program specifically for our son’s needs, and our needs. She checked in regularly and allowed me to reach out with questions, and as a first time mom I had a lot! I think the biggest part was she helped ease my anxiety and she normalized our experience. Through every setback she encouraged us and helped us adjust as needed. We only worked with Deb for sleep training but her warm, welcoming and kind demeanor makes me believe she would be wonderful to work with in any of her other capacities. Highly recommend!

Deb is an absolutely angel! She helped us with our first child and i can't imagine my post partum experience without her. I was really struggling for the first month and Deb had such a calming presence and was crucial in my recovery. She is a wealth of knowledge but NEVER judgmental and supported me in everything I wanted to do. She is professional, caring and fun. She was also so sweet with my son. Her vast amount of experience gave my husband and I comfort and confidence knowing he was in good hands. Post partum is hard enough and Deb was a shining light through the whole process. We are in communication most days and I know i can come to her with any questions or worries. I know she will be there for me every step of the way. I would hire Deb 1,000 times over. She was such a help and an essential part of my post partum experience!

We cannot say enough good things about Deb as a Doula or person. She became a member of our family while working for us as our night doula, and had a profound impact on the lives of our twins and us as parents.

When people ask us how we survived the newborn stage with twins (and a toddler), we say, “Deb!” There were many days we felt defeated and exhausted, but knowing Deb would arrive at 10pm (actually 9:50pm because she was always reliably early) got us through. She saved us physically and emotionally, and always had the best advice and resources to share.

We faced a number of issues with our twins that Deb guided and supported us through including severe acid-reflux (GERD), breast/bottle-feeding problems, and scary first colds and never-ending congestion... There were days the twins wouldn’t stop crying from their reflux, but somehow at night with Deb they were quiet and peaceful. We continue to believe she has magical powers as our twins are very vocal when upset and there was never a peep with her!

Deb has a broad network and referred us to many great specialists for lactation, craniosacral therapy, and even organized additional support from doulas when we needed it at the last minute. She took a lot of extra work and worries off our plate.

Deb was the best investment money could buy for our family postpartum. We had the utmost trust in her ability to care for our children with her years of experience, knowledge and expertise within the field and motherly instincts and compassion. She is highly organized, professional and non-judgmental. We cannot recommend her enough!

Deb was my doula for my 3rd baby, first *planned* home birth baby! I was overjoyed to find out that Deb was going to be available for my due date and was going to be at my birth. I've had two different doulas for my first two births and I can say without a doubt that if I was going to hire any of my previous doulas for a future birth, I would choose Deb! She quickly became a friend. She is joyful and sweet and very educated when it comes to the birth and baby world. During my quick and wonderful labor, Deb held my hand and spoke affirmations over me- reminding me to relax and take deep breaths. I loved her presence at my birth. She was constantly offering me drinks and snacks before and after the baby was born. She checked in with me regularly after my baby was born and made my family a delicious meal at our home (thank you again Deb!!!). If you are debating on whether or not you should hire Deb as your doula... consider this your sign to DO IT. She is worth every penny and then some!

Deb truly is what every family needs, especially first-time parents like us! Despite reading many books and preparing as much as we could, I was still a nervous wreck when our daughter Ella was born. Luckily, from the moment Deb came through our door, I knew we were all in great hands. Not only did she take amazing care of Ella overnight, but she also went above and beyond helping us navigate the challenges we faced the first few months (including severe tongue and lip ties with 2 revisions, breastfeeding latch issues, trying different formulas for supplementing due to my breastmilk undersupply, teaching me how to use a pump correctly, Ella's acid reflux, and more). There really was no curve ball she couldn’t handle, and day or night she was always there cheering us on. I am a much more confident (and rested!) mom because of Deb’s help and will always look back on our time fondly. I especially miss our middle of the night punping chats. Luckily, she is only a text away.

Deb is simply the best. She is patient, kind, understanding, open and incredibly responsive. She has a very encouraging and nurturing approach to new mamas and is always looking for opportunities to encourage or empower a new mom. We worked with Deb for both of our post partum seasons with our kids and she's been a life saver for each. With our twins, she provided us with hours of what would have been lost sleep and furthermore, helped us through a very hard season with colicky twins. With our third, she's been a solid sounding board and constantly looking out for what's best for me (mom) and what is best for our family at large. She takes every opportunity she sees to remind me how great of a job I am doing each week, whether the struggles are big or small. She's supportive in helping me find ways to cope, problem solve and get through these first few months with a newborn. She's very resourceful and has so much knowledge - I don't know what we'd do without her!

How will input into words how much I love this woman! Deb was my back up doula, she came as soon as I called the morning my babe decided to join us. Dispite having had an all-nighter that night she was so alert and kind. She instantly made us feel calm and was able to comfort me anytime fear or uncertainty popped up. I felt so spoiled my entire labor and delivery but little did I know that this was just the beginning of the amount of love and care she would provide my little family. Following baby's birth Deb came to my home and spent an entire afternoon helping me navigate the many hurdles that you have while recovering and learning how to care for a new born, and boy I felt like I had so many hurdles! Breast feeding, pumping, recovery questions nothing was off limits and nothing went un answered! She's full of information, resources, encouraging words. I felt so seen and so confident after she left and even to this day 7 months later she continues to help me navigate any issues that pop up. She offers sleep help and online consulting anytime I have questions or need to pull from her vast experience and resources. She's my momma guru and we would be so lost without her!

We're so thankful that Deb was on our birth team! From our first meeting she was warm, affirming, building our confidence, informative, and fun! We made a real connection that grew with each meeting and communication. She helped me process a lot about my first birth and feel confident about my decisions for this one. Turns out all the preparation was extremely beneficial for us and we had a very redemptive birth experience! It happened a lot quicker this time and Deb was ready ASAP! She was very gracious with the rest of the birthing team and made sure my wishes were listened to and carried out. We highly recommend Deb as a very warm, knowledgeable, and committed partner. Not to mention, our postpartum visits! She served me and my family with such love, making sure I rested as much as possible, brining me snacks, making soup, doing dishes (and putting them away!). My toddler had a very fun playtime with her too while I napped and now asks for Doula Deb every other day :) hope for more occasions to spend time with such a lovely person!

Words cannot justify how thankful I was to have Deb by my side for my first child's delivery. I met Deb at 30 weeks pregnant when I was changing providers and delivery location. She helped me feel confident the first day I spoke with her about my change in location and even more importantly, helped me feel confident that I COULD have the birth that I wanted.

As all birth stories go, I wasn't anticipating the direction my labor ended up going. Deb helped me through 14 hours of straight back labor and never missed walking me through a single contraction. Seriously - Not. One. Missed. Contraction! Through every stage of labor she was right there to help guide me to make an informed decision that was best for me and my baby. Deb had not worked with my midwife before (who is known for being a little intense of a woman...) yet they made the most supportive and encouraging team. In fact, my midwife even told me that Deb was one of the best doula's she's ever worked with! Everytime my midwife suggested a course of action, I could look to Deb as a sounding board to tell me "you can do this" and what I could expect.

While my husband was incredibly supportive and never left my side, Deb added a comfort we didn't know I was going to need. Without her I more than likely would have been transfered to the hospital from fear but Deb's calm and encouraing personality helped me find the inner strength I didn't know I had.

Both my husband and I were so thankful for her work before, during and after delivery. She follows Evidence Based Birth practices and has a no-judgemental approach to helping you with your ideal birth plan. No matter what, I will 110% have Deb by my side for my next child's birth. <3 We love her!

Even as I worked in Labor and Delivery, I still had no idea about the post partum stages of caring for a newborn. Deb helped me with breastfeeding knowledge, sleep training, and all other techniques to make the transition to motherhood easier. I have 3 boys and she was there to help with each ones unique care plan. I'll be forever grateful for the knowledgable experience I had and 110% recommend her to any Mother in need.

Deb made my labor feel so much smoother, made me feel so much more empowered and helped provide me with the exact birth that I wanted. We initially chose to hire Deb so that I could get more support during labor than what my husband alone could provide. I didn't realize when we hired her how much of an absolute necessity she would be and how much both my husband and I would thoroughly appreciate her.

Deb was present and there for me exactly when and how I asked her to be. Her knowledge and helpfulness far exceeded both my husband and my expectations. My husband and I walked out of the hospital still talking about how much of a value Deb is and how grateful we were to have her there.

After birth she was there with advice, knowledge, and resources for us when asked. She is not pushy, and never overbearing with her knowledge. Having gone through birth and receiving postpartum help and advice from her, Deb now feels like family. I can’t recommend her enough.

Deb provided the support my husband and I desperately needed in the early, bleary-eyed days of our parenting journey with twins. I had hit a wall of fatigue about six weeks postpartum. The endless cycle of breastfeeding and pumping bordered on grueling. I was anxious, irritable and found it hard to sleep (although I was exhausted!).

Enter Doula Deb, who helped us mostly with overnight care so we could get the restorative sleep we desperately needed. Deb was calm, caring, supportive, reliable and positive. She listened and provided us with information, baby-care tips and encouragement. With her watching over and helping care for our daughters (and us!) in the wee hours, I felt like I could finally exhale. Welcoming Deb into our home was like getting the whiffs of parenting oxygen we needed to help us reset and find our way through the early days of parenthood.

Deborah is great at her job. She is the perfect balance of communicating her expertise without displacing you as the parent. I do not know how I would have made it through the sleep depravation I suffered during my daughter's infancy without Deborah's help. Knowing I could have restful, restorative sleep while she was caring for my daughter was amazing. I cannot recommend her enough as a caregiver and a person.

I have known Deb for a few years and credit her with helping bring my son Wyatt into the world. I was four days laboring and couldn't get Wyatt to progress. I was at my sanity's end and called her for some advice. She had me try some stretches for the intense back pain and when she heard the panic and pain in my voice over the phone she said "I'm on my way!" She came straight to my house and helped calm both me and my husband while helping Wyatt to progress. She helped get me into positions to help Wyatt get into better position to get my contractions  coming quickly enough to go to the hospital. Her knowledge, strength, and natural way of approaching my ongoing labor gave me the strength to keep pushing through the pain of four days of contractions and no sleep. She came to the hospital with us and helped me labor for several more hours before Wyatt came into the world. I am not a standard client. I called her in an emergency for guidance and I truly believe she is the reason we had Wyatt safely that day. We are trying for our second baby and she will be my first call when we do become pregnant. I trust her to help guide me through one of the most important seasons of my life.

I had premature twin boys in November 2019 and needed a LOT of help with overnight care. Doula Deb was our savior! She was recommended to us by another postpartum doula who was helping us with overnight care, but had limited capacity. She and I connected very quickly in our initial interview and I felt like she "got" me. She wanted to be our ally, not an authoritative know-it-all. Deb felt like the best friend who comes over to help you with your kids and let you have a break. She was a natural fit in our family and allowed us to get much needed sleep at night.  She taught us about sleep training, how to keep our babies safe, and relieved our concerns. She was available via text/email/phone 24/7 while we were using her services and let me tell you, we texted her A LOT with our questions and concerns. We highly recommend Deb and her postpartum/sleep training services for all parents (new or seasoned) to help with the newborn phase and beyond. My husband and I still talk about how we miss Deb and our chats before heading to bed. She will always be a treasured resource and friend.

Deb is one of the most knowledgeable, big hearted, understanding, and non-judgmental people I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with. We worked closely with Deb in her role as a sleep consultant when our son was an infant and through early toddler.

She made recommendations based on her years of research and experience after listening to our story and asking tough questions to find what would be the best fit for our family. She broke down what we needed to do, hour-by-hour, and made herself available whenever we had questions or concerns. She was our greatest champion and truly made such a difference in our lives. We had so many problems with sleep and infancy and credit Deb with all that we have learned and the techniques that were successful in regaining our sanity!

I only wish I would have known her during my pregnancy and/or immediately after so I could have hired her as my doula/post-partum doula. To know her is to love her.

My experience with Deb started when my second born was brand new. I was incredibly sleep deprived and wasn't even addressing the sleeping habits of my kids let alone my ow. I needed a change so bad and didn't even realize it. She made product suggestions to make it fun and easy for the kids and provided unconditional support. Due to her suggestions we have three kiddos that have healthy sleep habits which makes it easier for us to have them as well. She's the best at what she does and changed our lives for the better.

Deb was our doula for 4 months as we welcomed home our twin boys. She was excellent from the start, connecting us with another doula to provide the level of support we needed over the first two months, since we wanted to have 4-5 days a week initially. Deb provided so much more than an evening presence that allowed us to sleep--which was incredibly valuable and enabled us to be on all day with our twin boys and not lack for energy!--she was a valuable resource that we could work with to discuss issues with sleeping, feeding, diapers and so forth. Having an experienced child care provider that was accessible anytime via phone or text messaging, who would happily spend time with us discussing any concerns we had when she arrived, collectively made us feel empowered and competent as parents at a time that we would otherwise have felt anything but. I cannot recommend Deb more as your night doula, especially if you are expecting multiples. She was INCREDIBLE!

Natalie Woodward Dwyer

Deborah was a lifesaver to us as a postpartum doula.  She came in at an incredibly stressful time with our two children and while my spouse was out of town.  Her approach was incredibly gentle but confident and it seemed as though she was there to take care of me as much as the baby.  She provided invaluable sleep advice for both the baby and toddler and helped me develop routines and a schedule for them both.  Prior to working together, I would often get 2-4 hours of sleep a night.  Implementing her suggestions and ideas immediately brought that up to 6-7 hours.  I would hire her again in a heartbeat andrelished the time we worked together and her care.

Deb came to our house when our daughter was just 4 months old. We wanted to move her from the bassinet to her crib, get her sleeping through the night and better define a napping schedule. She spent 2 or 3 nights with us and took over the night time sleep training for our daughter. All through the night she worked her magic to soothe and put Samantha back to sleep every time she woke up. She didn't just train Samantha, she trained Dave and I on how to continue to keep Sam sleeping with very speciific techniques to put her to bed, soothe and get her right back to sleep if she woke. She helped us create a schedule for naps and define a night time routine for bed.

Our daughter is now 3 1/2 and has been a 12 hour night time sleeper for years. She goes to bed at 8 pm and gets up at 8 am and always sleeps in her own bed. Over the years, when we've had questions and bumps in the road Deb has always been there with helpful advice.

What we learned from Deb is the key to sleep training isn't so much about the child but about the parents. The training worked because we implmented the techniques Deb taught us and continue to reinforce them today 3 years later.

Hiring Deb was the smartest thing we ever did and the best money I ever spent! I'd do it over again a thousand times. I have a happy well rested child, my husband and I have a few hours of quite time together every night and the whole family gets a full nights sleep every night.

We started working with Doula Deb when our little girl was around 5 months. At the time our daughter’s naps were very inconsistent and I was spending all evening getting her to bed at night. I knew we need help! I was not comfortable with just letting her cry, Deb came up with a sleep plan that I was comfortable with and knew I could accomplish. She was there with me through the whole process. Knowing she was always just a text, phone call or email away really helped boost my confidence and got me threw process. Without her constant support I would have failed miserably. Within no time our little girl was taking 1-2 hour naps and I was no longer spending all evening putting her to bed. There have been some bumps in the road along the way and she is always there to help and offer advice. The constant support she offers cannot be surpassed. I have no clue where we would be without her. Thank you Deb, you are amazing & I have learned so much from you!

My husband and I used Deb as our overnight post partum doula and she literally changed our lives. We had premie twins and no idea what we were doing. To say that we were overwhelmed would be an understatement. Deb came into our home FULL of knowledge, patience, and organization. She was able to identify digestive issues one of my boys was having and help me with my diet to alleviate his discomfort. We were guaranteed two nights a week of solid sleep and we treasured those nights. Best of all Deb gave me the gift of confidence as a mother. All her tips, tricks and most of all reassurances that we were doing things right are gifts that have helped us in the weeks we've been on our own. Hiring Deb was hands down the best decision we've made so far as parents and I can't recommend her enough.

I was absolutley blessed to have Deb not only attend my birth but be there for me in the days following it. I had no idea I needed a doula before I delivered much less what they did. I think I was one of those moms that thought that they could easliy do everything on their own. Deb was my rock throughout labor- her calming voice got me through each contration and cheered me on like she was my biggest fan. I found that I wanted her there over my family because she knew what to say and do when I most needed it.

After I delivered she came to my home and took care of things so that we all could enjoy bonding time as a new family. Besides cooking us dinner and making sure I ate snacks during the day she educated me about all the products out there that could help me with adjusting to breastfeeding and for caring for my newborn. It was like having a best friend that new how to keep me encouraged and feeling like this new mom thing was something I could do.

In the days and weeks it's been since I had my little boy she has been there, checking in with me with true concern. I found Deb invaluable and would recommend her to anyone expecting. I'm already assuming that she'll be with us when we have baby #2! Love you Deb!

When my husband and I found out that we were expecting we had no idea what we were getting outselves into.  We were happily in denial till about my 6th ot 7th month before we realized we knew NOTHING about giving birth or taking care of a baby!  Thank goodness for Deborah.  We were overwhelmed with information and she helped us sort through it all and understand it so we could make the right decisions for us.  She helped put together our birth plan and helped us both feel at ease that we had someone with us that would keep a level head and respect our wishes.  My labor was induced 9 days past my due date. My labor was easy - we kept it fun and light.  Right up until we realized baby was not making any progress dropping.  We tried different techniques and positions to get baby off of my pelvis.  Ultimately the Dr called for a C Section and I was caught off guard.  Deb helped calm me down and reassured me that I did not "fail" and that a healthy baby was all that mattered.  I even made sure that they would let her come into the OR with us.  She brought us so far that one way or another I wanted her to be there when my baby entered the world.  Once we got home we couldn't believe she didn't come with a manual!  Well turns out our manual was Deb!  From feeding, bathing, to getting her to sleep, Deb really showed us how to be confident in taking care of our baby girl.  I don't have enough room here to express the love and gratitude I have for Deb - she is not only positive, loving, and kind.  She is extremely knowldgeable and what I call a "baby whisperer".  I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Deb was a God send to my husband and me. We do not have any family members here in Seattle and needed help with overnights as we were both exhausted caring for a breastfed newborn who was awake every two hours.

The two nights a week that Deb stayed up with our daughter were invaluable to saving my sanity and helping my relationship with my husband. Deb also gave me tips that helped me begin sleep training my daughter and cope better as a new mom.

It was amazing to be able to sleep deeply and know that someone who cared about my child and I could trust was on duty.

If we do decide to have another child, Deb will probably be my first call after confirmation of a due date to make sure she is available.

At four weeks old, my baby would not sleep during the day except on my lap after breast feeding.  She almost always woke up if I tried to transfer to her bed, the swing, or anywhere else.  Only at night would she go to sleep in her bed.  I also have an older child to take care of, so sitting all day with my baby on my lap was not an option.  But neither was a baby who cried all day because she wouldn't sleep.  The first day Deborah came my baby was napping in her bed!  She showed me how to adapt her bed, how to use a sound machine, how to bounce and "shhh," and how to wrap her and put her in her bed.  I've been working with Deb for about five weeks now, and progress is slow but steady.  She is a constant source of support, a professional who encourages me when I feel discouraged.  And when my baby changes, Deb helps me adapt my strategy.  Not to mention the break she gives me when she is here - she helps with laundry, dishes and childcare so I can take a nap myself.  I am so grateful to have found her!

Deb is a wonderful post-partum doula.  On her first day, she came in and instantly brought calm to our home.  She was great with my newborn son as well as my toddler daughter.  She is knowledgeable, caring, and professional.  I would recommend her to any friend or family member.
