Angela was a great resource to our family. We worked with her for prenatal appointments, phone access only during labor and postpartum appointments. She used our prenatal appointments to focus on our needs and questions including a meeting exclusively for breastfeeding. During labor she was available to us via phone  (as that was arrangement we made with her. She can workup a lot of options, so you can have her help), and her communication with my husband was literally a c section saver! Without her advice, my dr. Was pushing csection, and with Angela's positioning advice, i progressed 2cm almost immediately. Her postpartum visit focused on breastfeeding, and watching/assisting/correcting little's latch. We 100% will have a doula present if we ever have another child. Angela is kind, caring, helps even the most reserved husband with opening up during the process of pregnancy, labor, delivery. She loves her work, and it shows. Thank you for being there for us!

As a first time father I knew this would be an experience to remember and cherish. There are so many things that happen through-out a pregnancy and birth that I couldn't relate to or understand and after our consultation visit with Angela we knew that she had everything we needed to make our childs birth truely ours. Angela, in our first visit was very professional and very clear on what her services included. I must say I was hesitant at first knowing we could get through pregnancy and birth ourselves and save the money, but looking back I know it was money well spent. We were so well informed and felt very confident going into the hospital knowing we were ready for anything and we would be heading home with a new member of the family.

As the man in the room I never felt left out. Angela was always showing me ways to be helpful and included me in her meetings with us. I felt much more calm than I expected during everything and that is all credit to her amazing job prepping me. Having the resource of a doula as our advocate to help us make informed decisions was priceless and we will be calling her again if we are to be blessed with a second child knowing it will be different and bring its own challenges. Thank you for everything!

My husband and I chose to hire a doula for the birth of our child for many reasons... Support for the unknown of it all, the anxiety, the fear (everyone experiences it) and the need for experienced and helpful advice and useful information. After looking online at a few profiles of possible doulas in our area I found Angela, she seemed like a good fit for us and there was only one way to find out... So I called her, the first time we talked I immediately knew that she was the right person for the job.

We had never been pregnant before and so many things were a surprise to us, thankfully Angela was there to guide us through the twists and turns. It seemed like there was always something coming up that we did not expect, Angela was always quick to explain to us what these things were and what options we have as Parents. Throughout the course of the third trimester and building up to our due date we always felt that we were fully supported by Angela, especially when something came up at the doctors visits that didn't sit right with us; whether it was information being unclear or confusing to us, or just feeling overwhelmed by the emotions of it all. Angela was right on top of comforting us and educating us to make sure we had the tools we needed to make confident decisions and choices for our birth plan. Her desire to keep us informed was completley non judgemental and she always respected our wishes and hopes, even though at times they may have been different than her own, or other births she's assisted. She made herself available to us constantly, via phone calls and emails, and scheduled visits before, during, and after our birth. Angela was compassionate, understanding, invested, and prompt. I would highly recommend her to anyone. The time and effort she put into our entire experience by far outways the financial cost of hiring a doula. She was a huge part of our positive, beautiful, and amazing experience.

If you are wondering whether you should hire Angela, do it, you won't be disappointed. She is amazing! Being a doula is clearly Angela's calling in life. She has a very calming presence, and always seems to know exactly what to do or say. When we hired Angela, I was planning on a unmedicated delivery. This was very important to me. She had a lot of knowledge on techniques to help mothers make it through and was very supportive to my husband as well, as he was very nervous about the idea. When I was 36 weeks along, however, we found out that I was likely going to have to have a C-section, due to my son being breech. I was devestated. Angela helped me so much in processing the emotions I was feeling and helped me come to terms with everything. She even cried with me! She really cares this much. She also gave me many references on trying to get the baby to turn, and believe me, I tried every one! My boy was stubborn, though. When the day came, Angela was at the hospital bright and early. She not only helped keep me calm, but she really helped relax and reassure my husband. Even though they did not allow her to be in the OR, she waited at the hospital the whole time and was there once they allowed her back to see us. She was a great resource on things like getting my baby to latch on correctly, and was very focused on making sure that we were okay. We were very happy to have her there. Now, fast forward a few days to a new nightmare. Our son was admitted to the children's hospital. My husband and I were terrified. Now this is not part of a doula's job, but Angela came there too! Her support was invaluable.  I don't think we would have kept our sanity without her! Our son turned out to be just fine, and had just given us a huge scare. It is honestly impossible to describe in 2000 characters how much Angela helped us throughout. She is truly worth her weight in gold!

My husband and I were referred to Angela by my best friend's sister who had a wonderful birth experience with her second child when Angela was her doula. I knew I already had the goal to have the least medicated, non-invasive, positive 1st birth experience I could and hiring a doula seemed like the best way to ensure this.

We met Angela for coffee to get to know her, and we were immediately impressed with her vast knowledge of the birthing process, her calm and professional demeanor, and her interest in learning more about us personally. We hired her shortly after that, and it was the best decision we ever made.

Weeks before the baby was due, Angela made sure to keep building our doula-client relationship with multiple visits. These visits helped mentally and technically prepare us for the birthing process ahead. Anytime we had questions, especially near the end of the pregnancy, I could count on Angela to quickly respond to my texts or emails. She always kept us in the loop too.

I was 8 days overdue and losing patience for my baby to come the natural way, but Angela encouraged me to relax and have faith that my body knew what to do. Sure enough, I soon went into labor, called Angela and she met my husband and I within the hour at our hospital. Throughout the labor, she made sure I was comfortable, focused and guided us through each new challenge. She never left our side, and had an amazing ability to read my body cues so that I could get comfort, water, switch positions to be more effective, and not give in to the pain. Because of her, I know my husband played a more active role in my birth and felt empowered to help me too. I know Angela's AMAZING intuition and strong-calm-kind-confident approach is the only reason why I successfully delivered my baby vaginally and without any medication. Angela's gift to the world is being a doula and she is wonderful at it.

My family's Doula experience with Angela Rodrigues was nothing short of exceptional and remarkable. She went above and beyond in every way possible to make sure every-single-one of my own personal needs were met before, during & after my son's birth. During those times as-well she all the while was very helping, educational and kind to my entire family. My mother, children and partner all fell-in-love with her throughout the experience and would all personally recommend her referral for Doula services as-well. She is highy knowledgeable, professional, positive and energetically calm. I had a very speedy water birth which had me in some shock but she was spot-on in aiding to keep our birth nothing but calm & positive.

Over-all I would sum-it-up and say that Angela has a heart-of-gold that is exuberant in her doula-work & lifestyle.

Thank you & we love you Angela!!

After several interviews with several doulas, my wife and I met with Angela. We walked out of the consultation, looked at each other, said in unison "I like her best" and that was that. It was the best decision we made during the pregnancy.

Our prenatal visits were helpful for us to discuss our hopes and fears for our labor and delivery experience. It especially helped me know what to expect. My wife particularly enjoyed the walks that she and Angela went on during the last few weeks of pregnancy. It was a great excuse for her to get out of the house and also offered her the chance to ask any last minute questions.

Labor was far from what we expected. We had several factors against us from the get go (no fluid and the baby was in the posterior position) and we ended up needing many of the interventions we had hoped to avoid. Processing through each invention was difficult. Angela helped my wife and I grieve the loss of having a "natural" birth so that we could make the safest choice for our baby. Angela helped guide me in different ways I could be supportive and helpful. This was so necessary because there were times I felt helpless and lost. Still, there were other times my wife looked to Angela for comfort and reassurance that everything she felt was normal.

When the possibility of an emergency c-section arose, and my wife was too focused on her contractions to talk, Angela was the calm voice of reason I needed to hear. Without Angela we would have had a terribly stressful 22 hour labor & delivery and would not have felt confident in our decisions to deviate from our original birth plan. We are so thankful she was available before, during and after the birth of our little guy. We will definitely come back to her for our next baby.

My wife and I decided to have a natural childbirth, however, since this was our first birth we were very unsure of ourselves. We found Angela through a web search and knew she was a perfect fit after an initial interview. Once we started working with Angela our anxiety disappeared. Throughout our late pregnancy Angela was the information source and calming force we needed. Angela’s guidance and techniques assisted us to have a successful natural child birth. The birth of our baby girl was a beautiful experience; one of the best days of our lives. We could not have done it without Angela.

My experience with Angela was absolutly wonderful. She was my "back up doula" during my 38th week due to my other doula being out of town. She checked in on me to make sure I was doing ok frequently. When my water broke the day I turned 39 weeks I called her right away (my other doula was getting back into town that evening) and she met me at the hospital when I got there a few hours later. Angela was very encouraging and helped with counter pressure, massage, visualization, and focus. She has a very calm spirit which helped me stay collected and I had an absolutlely wonderful birth experience with her. I loved having her by my side!

I absolutely cannot imagine our birth experience without Angela. Her support started long beofre our actual labor with multiple prenatal visits and walks once I was full term. When labor time actually came, she pulled out all the stops to make our experience exactly what we wanted. She was my confidant, she was my husband's right hand and she was our advocate to the hospital and doctors. Angela has a deep love for her calling as a doula and I for one feel extremely blessed that we were able to have her with us on our journey.

I had a 40 hour labor and Angela held my hand the entire time. I strongly recommend Angela and will cerainly call on her again if we are blessed with more children.

Angela was a perfect match for my husband and me! She was calm, hopeful, and most importantly open minded! We felt so comfortable with her and plan on asking her to be a part of all of our births. We don't know what we'd do without her!

Having Angela as my doula during my pregnancy, labor, and delivery was truly a blessing. She was very easy to talk with throughout my pregnancy and she always had great tips and advice for me.

While I as in labor she was a very calming presence in the room. She would remind me not tense up and to relax simply with her touch. Her peaceful voice kept me calm and focused during the most difficult times in my labor. She would suggest different laboring techniques throughout my labor (according to my birthing plan) without being pushy.

When I was at my weakest point and ready to break towards the end of labor, she was right there to inspire me. She was by my side to encourage me, by reminding me that very soon I would have my beautiful baby in my arms.
After my baby was born I was in need of extra medical care, and while my husband was with our new baby, Angela stayed with me in the room. While a rush of emotions was going through me I could always look over at Angela and I knew everything was going to be fine. She had a very calm expression and I never saw fear cross her eyes. She was my angel in the room when I needed her most in the midst of all the chaos.

If I ever have another baby, I will definitely ask Angela to be my doula again.
