Sam is absolutely AMAZING! In December 2014, I got pregnant and knew I wanted a doula as I had thought about becoming one myself. I wanted someone who would advocate for me due to my last delivery in 2011 going extremely badly and leaving me feeling quite traumatized. I did extensive research and eventually found this site. I literally only was on the site for maybe 10 minutes before I found Sam. I called her and everything just clicked for me, I knew then that she was going to be my doula! That pregnancy unfortunately ended in miscarriage in February 2015. As heartbroken as I was, somehow I ended up conceiving that same month. I immediately contacted Sam to be my doula. Even though this was to be my 4th child (not counting losses along the way), Sam was there for me throughout my pregnancy no matter what time of day for every question, concern.....just anything and everything. When it came time for my baby girl to make her appearance at 40wks1d, Sam was right there by my side. She was not only my advocate, she made me feel extremely empowered. I truly feel that she is the main reason that I rocked my daughter's birth, even when I felt like I couldn't do it, she reminded me how strong I was. The birth, although not exactly what I planned, was exactly what I needed. Although I think this is my last child, I will DEFINITELY be recommending Sam to every woman I know, and I will hire her again in a heartbeat if I were to have another baby. She wasn't just my doula, she became a great friend.

Samm is incredible! I was pregnant with our familys 3rd and probably last child. I decided that I wanted her birth to be incredible and healing for me. I had two birth experiences that left me with very negative feelings. I had both my children early and was told to expect another early delivery. I searched for a doula and birth photographer and placed an ad online. She answered my ad very quickly, even being heavily pregnant herself. At our first meeting she made me feel at ease when everyone thought I was crazy to attempt a natural birth. We then agreed to maternity photos, fresh48 photos and an off call doula, as she was still on maternity leave. She helped me open up about my negative experiances and while it was hard to relive parts, she helped me begin that healing process which I really needed. She suggested I look for a medical provider that would take my thoughts seriously and would support my choices. She gave me a few options to look into. At 30 weeks I found a new provider, they listened to my thoughts and found a few issues that my previous provider didnt take seriously. In the meantime, Samm took gorgeous family maternity photos for us.  I am a plus size mom and I never felt so beautiful. Samm checked on me quite often. As a mom to two other children, I didnt have many questions for her, but loved the support and the encouragement she gave me. She helped me choose a short and sweet birth plan and sent me a great little booklet on natural labor postions. I was blessed to make it to 38w and 4 days. My labor was 4 and a half hours long start to finish! Im incredibly proud to say I delivered naturally in a hospital setting, and my birth plan was followed exactly! Samm was at the hospital within about 12 hours for our photos. She captured my children meeting their sibling for the first time, and the more intimate nursing photos. I highly recommend Sam, even if you arent a first time mom! She was encourgement I needed to meet my goal.

When I found out that my husband and myself where going to be parents I originally didn't think much abouta birth plan. I was perfectly ok with that until I was more then half way to my due date, when I decided that what I wanted what completely different then before. So with help from a friend I was put in touch with Sam. The first time I spoke with sam she made me feel like I had known her for years , she made me so comfortable and that no matter what she would have my back.  The moment I got off the phonewith sam I knew I Needed her. The next step was to convince my husband that having a doula would be a great thing for me, him and for our daughter that was coming fast. My husband agreed to meet with sam and have an open  mind.  My husband felt like by wanting Sam to be part of my daughter's birth that I didn't need him which couldn't be further from the truth! When we met Sam in person, she not only made me feel like she understood me and would be an advocate for what I wanted. She also  was able to make my husband understand that she was also going to be there for him, if he  had questions or needed anything. We left the meeting knowing that we as a couple wanted Sam to part of this very special event. Sam was there with many different solutions to questions or problems we had. When the time came, she was there to help me and my husband feel safe.  When Sam came to the hospital she made the room feel like a spa not a hospital room, all the staff told everyone how warm welcoming and wonderful sam made our room. I didn't end up following my original birth plan,  and at first i felt guilty but Sam quickly made me feel better about everything. I ended up having a c-section and sam was there every step of the way holding my hand. Even though things didnt end the way I planned it was wonderful thanks to my wonderful doula Sam!  I'm so thankful to samfor everything!  She is so knowledgeable & takes pictures

Sam is great ! I'll say it a million times she was so thoughtful and did little things that made our bond so deep. It was so fun to do maternity photos, newborn photos etc. While in labor she was super speedy getting to my house and guided me to have a very quick baby especially for my first time. I was so comfortable in her hands I wanted to do a home birth last minute!
