I contacted Savannah soon after finding out I was pregnant. From the very beginning she was extremely informative and caring. During our initial meeting she took the time to get to know my husband and I. The resources she provided were invaluable in helping us to form a birth plan and decide what was important for us during labor and birth. She was available to me when needed and went above and beyond to answer the many questions that we came up with.

My labor progressed quickly and Savannah was there offering advice to my husband on ways he could help me as well as assisting me in any way needed. I know that having Savannah there is a huge reason why I was able to have the natural birth experience that I wanted. She took the time to capture some great moments for us using our camera and kept a detailed log of our birth.

I would highly recommend that anyone considering a doula hire Savannah.

When my wife went into labor I felt that I was very aware that it was happening, that it was real, and that we were going to meet our baby soon. At the same time I felt unprepared, unaware and like the typical soon to be father.

Savanna came over the day my wife went into labor. She was calm, joyful and overall a breath of fresh air as we entered into a long night of laboring for my wife.

Savanna was with us for over 24 hours, from the birthing center to the transfer over to the hospital. She stayed awake with us, she coached me on how to help Shanna throgh each contraction and she continually communicated with me (which is a big deal to me)! I didn't fully know what it meant to have a doula until we had walked through this proccess, having Savanna by our side.

My wife's birth plan was for a natural, drug free birth but after laboring for so long and suspecting complications she went in for a c-section. As we prepared to go into surgery Savannah advocated for us in several ways. She suggested questions to ask, things to consider and she was by our side the whole time.

I feel that we could not have done this without her. Men, husbands, fathers... YOU WANT A DOULA... Specifically, Savannah.

Going into the pregnancy I was very skeptical about paying money to have someone tell us when we need to go to the hospital.  Well...that was my view of it all at that time.  That has changed!

Having Savannah there was a much greater asset than I could have ever imagined!  She knew how to understand what my wife was saying in the midst of pain and was an excellent coach for her.  Not only was she great for my wife, but she helped me keep my head on straight!  Having a doula is definitely a huge assest for the men!

Another thing I loved about Savannah was her understanding of how we are created as humans and that women were created with everything needed to give birth and she did a great job of reminding my wife of that.  This gave her the drive to keep going when things weren't easy.

I would highly recommend Savannah for any first time pregnancy for sure!  Thank you Savannah!

I am so glad we decided to have savannah be a part of our birth story! It was like having our birthing class with us. Savannah is very knowledgable, relaxed, and helpful. I wanted to have an unmedicated natural birth and was able to accomplish that with her help! She was there to offer advice and assistance when we wanted it but stayed in the background whenever needed.

I called savannah in the middle of the night when my contractions started and she came over early that morning. Our son was posterior so Savannah helped me get into positions that helped with the pain and turned him around. Because this was our first child, we were unsure of when we should go to the hospital. Since I wanted to stay at home as long as possible, I was so happy Savannah was there to help Us know when the time was getting close. Savannah met us at the hospital and took pictures, as we had asked if she would. It was great for my husband and I to be in the moment together and not have to worry about capturing the arrival of our little boy.

I would most definitely recomend savannah to anyone thinking about having a doula. I can't say enough about how great it was having her there! I was able to relax and not stress over contraction timing, what positions I should use, and when to go to the hospital. I couldn't have asked for a better labor and birth story! It was a great experience for us and just how I wanted it!

I had such an amazing birth experience, and I have huge thanks to Savannah! I knew the benefits of having a doula and when I found out savannah had become one, I was so excited! My husband and I met with her several times before the birth to discuss labor and delivery. I had really wanted to aim for a completely natural birth. With my first son I did have an epidural , and while it was a good experience I really wanted to do a natural birth as I knew it was better for me and for baby. I felt confident through our meetings with savannah prior to delivery that it would be a good birth experience , and it was! She was there the whole delivery day. She was there when I needed anything-ice, a back rub, etc. she walked the halls with me for a few hours before hard labor set in-encouraging me and helping me prepare for what to come. She was very calm, professional, knowledgeable and great to work with. She also was great in helping my husband help him be the best support person he could be. She let him have the spotlight and be my main support. I did have a completely natural birth and I wouldn't change anything about it. I'm very grateful to savannah for making my birth such a pleasant experience. I will definitely be using her services again for our 3rd child!!
