I had Linda as a doula for my 2nd child, Lucas. It was a wonderful, reassuring experience. She supported me and my family. She was patient, loving, kind, and supportive. I enjoyed my experience having a doula and would highly recommend her! She is sweet, and gracious. She is competent and worked well as a team with Brenda who also was another doula with us at our hospital birth. I had a high risk pregnancy, and a horrible history of loss and my anxiety level was able to stay steady with having her in my corner as a doula. I am so thankful for her and her time to be a blessing to our family when we really needed it. Thanks, Leeanne <><
Linda was a joy to work with! She was respectful of our non-traditional lifestyle, our parenting style and our home. She was encouraging, and helped get my partner and I create better bedtime habits. Though I think my partner and I could have handled the last month without help, I am so glad we didn't have to. Linda gave us the time to regroup, relax and come back to our little monkey with more energy.
We will miss her!
It was a pleasure to work with Linda as my birth doula. I highly recommend her! I greatly appreciated her professionalism and calming presence. Linda met with us for a post-partum session and left a lot of tools and supplies with us, for us to practice relaxation techniques. She was available via phone and text for advice. I appreciated her support during early labor, as I shot her questions about what to do. The original plan was for her to meet me at the hospital, once active labor started, but labor happened so quickly for me at home that I was already nearly in transition phase when I arrived at the hospital. I used a lot of the techniques I practied with Linda earlier when I was in labor at home. Linda was a great help at the hospital, during the last part of delivery, and stayed several hours to help me after delivery. She also generously offered additonal post-partum sessions, as she felt her time at the hospital with me had been shorter than expected. I greatly appreciated her thoughtfulness as well as the resources and expertise to help me learn to breastfeed and take care of my newborn.
Linda was renamed "Magic Linda" in our house. Our son - and first baby - was born five weeks early with a nasty case of gas and reflux, and we needed Linda's help with breastfeeding, sleeping schedules and general how-to's with a nocturnal pre-term little one. Given his unexpected, early arrival, we didn't have a chance to read books or take a class on caring for a newborn, so Linda filled in as our guide to newborn care.
Linda knows all things babies. She taught me to use the magic swaddle, nursing positions, how to put a newborn on a sleep schedule, burping techniques, and she had answers to all my questions, especially the "is this normal?" The best part was having total confidence in Linda to care for my baby while I went back to blissful sleep after a feeding (or skipped a feeding). She also taught my husband how to bottle feed since he handled a nightly feeding on her days off.
Linda is also a warm and intelligent person. Late at night we would chat about current events and other interesting topics, and she exceptional company during those late-hour feedings.
Linda was our doula during the birth of our son as well as during the firrst 3 weeks postpartum. She is so caring and she genuinely loves what she does and loves to help mamas!! As first-time parents, we relied heavenly on her advice regarding newborn nursing, bathing, soothing, and sleeping. She made herself available to us and we found her timely advice and help invaluable. If you are pregnant and in search of a doula, look no more!
LInda Bradley has been both my birth and post partum doula. She was an amazing support for my hsuband and myself during my labor in the hospital. She helped me with positions during labor that helped ease the pain and discomfort and provided a ton of hands-on support. She provided massage and counter pressure that helped me get through 4 hours of active labor without any pain medications. Linda was great about keeping both my husband and myself nourished, hydrated and calm. LInda made our birth experience so much smoother and calmer. I highly recommend her.
Linda has also worked as our post partum doula. She is extremely organized and knowledgeable about new babies. My husband and I go to bed knowing that Linda will take the best possible care of our son. When we wake up in the morning, she has organized notes documenting all his activities waiting for us. Although I was unable to breast feed, it was a great consolation to know that she is trained in lactation support.
