Despite expecting an uncomplicated second (relatively) easy birth, we were so glad to have Christi with us in the weeks leading up to and during labor and delivery. She was quick to answer questions during the 3rd trimester and was super well equipped to support us at the hospital. Her presence was obviously reassuring to the medical staff who were happy to leave us 3 alone to do our thing with minimal interruptions. As things progressed, she helped me to stay calm. Baby came so quickly that my doctor wasn't able to make it in time, so a resident who didn't know my wishes was present for the delivery instead. Christi helped me stay confident and continue following my instincts. I have recommended her to all my pregnant friends and will certainly be in touch with her again if a surprise third baby happens!

I don’t even know where to begin in singing Christi’s praises! From our first meeting, through the prenatal visits, through the long labor and delivery (she was with us for 26 hours!), to the postpartum visit and messages checking in just to see how we are doing, she has been a gift. With her calm, steady presence and wise, knowledgeable care she truly embodies “mothering the mother.” Not only that but she was an incredible support for my partner and crucial in making sure we were able to stay connected and centered as a couple throughout the experience. I am convinced now more than ever in the vital role of a doula and I feel so lucky and blessed that Christi was ours. (She also makes amazing lactation cookies and “fat bombs.” I might do it all again just for those. :-))

It has been my best decision to hire Christi as my birth doula for the whole pregnancy, labor and delivery process.  As a new immigrant here, I was dealing with the pregnancy all by myself, no family, no husband around to support.  The two prenatal visits of Christi have been a great comfort and reassurance to me.  She taught me many things, since I am a first time mom.  She also lent me books and dvds on labor and delivery to prepare me.

I was induced on my estimated due date.  The labor was prolonged and very painful, which lasted for four days.  I almost gave up the vaginal delivery and asked for a c-section.  But Christi companied me for the whole journey, encouraged me to endure the contractions longer before I used epidural.  She helped me to try all kinds of techniques to cope with the labor pain, breathing, walking, bathing, birth ball and etc..  During the administration of epidural, I was scared and shaking from the painful contractions.  Christi held my hands, taught me to breathe, and gave me the strength I needed to stand still for the anesthesiologist to inject the needle into my spine.  I still remember her encouraging eyes.  With her help, I managed to deliver my baby boy Johnny vaginally, 8 lbs and 8 oz, no episiotomy, only 2 stitches from natural tear.

The post partum visit was life saving as well.  Christi helped me to declutter my house, cleaned my stuffed refrigerator, washed my dishes, taught me about breastfeeding and sleeping pattern of bsbies.  She even made me Lactation cookies and brought me homemade food, which is a great help to me.  She also made mother’s milk Lactation tea for me, asked me to take a nap while she organized my books and living room.  She is such an angel, like the imaginary nanny in the recent movie Tully.

I highly recommend Christi as your birth doula, and you will find it is really money well spent.

We had such a wonderful experience with Christi as our doula. Being a first time mom and wanting to labor naturally, I was nervous and didn’t know what to expect, or if I could handle the pain. After meeting with Christi, I felt more confident and prepared for labor. She is so knowledgeable and she brought up a lot of things that I didn’t know or hadn’t thought of.

During labor, she was a quiet, strong presence and she lead my husband and I through the contractions and encouraged and pushed us to achieve our goal of delivering naturally.  I couldn’t have done it without her and my husband by my side. She is there before you deliver, during labor and even after for questions and support.

Im so happy we agreed to use her as our doula. She is wonderful!

My husband and I partnered with Christi for the birth of our second child and she is absolutely amazing! She is everything that you would want in a pre/post birth partner - warm, compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, and respectful of one's choices. Although Christi encouraged me to interview other doulas (a signal that she had MY best interest at heart), her calming presence and chill vibe had me at our first meeting. I was very impressed at all of tools in her toolkit, and her experience with the hospital and its staff allowed me to take advantage of techniques and tools I would not have otherwise known to request. Further, with her support and guidance I was able to make informed decisions and defend same to hospital staff when necessary. Overall, Christi’s support enabled me to have a memorable and empowering birth experience that I will be forever grateful!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Christi! From start to finish of my labor and delivery my husband and I both felt so supported physically and emotionally. Christi was not only an incredible asset to our birth team, but she truly went above and beyond to be there for us in the days leading up to the birth as well as during our postpartum journey. We have vowed to never have another baby without hiring Christi as our doula. We would highly recommend her to anyone!

Christi was the first person we told when my husband and I were expecting our second baby! She was an amazing resource and presence during the birth of our first child and we certainly wanted her to be part of our second baby's arrival, as well. We met prior to the baby’s birth and discussed what was important to us during this labor and delivery. I felt so supported. Her calm guidance, reassurance and help during our home birth was invaluable as this baby came fast and my labor felt more intense than the first time. She was a great support for our toddler who woke up shortly after the baby was born. Christi has also been a tremendous postpartum doula for our family. She has helped us with laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and playing with my toddler so I could nurse the baby. I am so grateful for Christi and highly recommend her to anyone!

My husband and I never heard of a doula until a child prep class. We decided to look into one because of the stats and having a non-medical support to help us with our experience. We interviewed a couple Doulas until we found Christians. Christiana has been nothing short of amazing. Her wealth of knowledge and experience was reassuring and made my husband and I’s birthing experience a positive one and an outcome that we wanted. She definitely is worth every penny and more. We will definitely use her again should we have another child. She was our Doula and now a forever friend.

We were beyond blessed to have Christi by our side for our second child’s birth in 2015. As soon as I saw those little pink lines announcing baby #3 was baking, I knew we had to have her present to bring our newest squish earth-side! Her loving guidance, gentle demeanor, and skilled touch made such a difference back then and I couldn’t imagine having another baby without her.

Throughout the pregnancy, we stayed in touch. When I was declared to have S.P.D., she gently reminded me that Chiro and support belts were not selfish indulgences but necessary for keeping up with 2 small children during pregnancy. When we learned of our little one’s 2-vessel cord, she was a gentle reminder that this was well within the range of normal. When we learned our sweet love was to born with kidney problems that would, likely, result in total loss of a kidney, she cried with me and prayed with us.

She was a fantastic resource when our second doula backed out at 36 weeks. Within hours, she arranged for one of her colleagues to meet us! When our placenta encapsulation plans fell through, she was there with a back-up plan, as well!

When it came time to give birth, she was ever-conscious of the needs of my whole family. She quickly and efficiently changed roles to accommodate the needs of the moment, fawlessly transitioning from playmate to my boys, to pain relief assistance for me, to offering to pick up a meal for us so my husband could be with me. She anticipated my every need from drinks, to repositioning, to grabbing the vomit bag when things got intense. She let me laugh or cry or simply cry out, remaining always calm and comforting.

She followed up shortly after birth, bringing her notes from labor along to help me write our birth story! She is a blessing and a friend and I can’t imagine not having her present for any future births!

The moment I met Christi, I knew I desired to work with her as our doula. Her calm spirit, her relaxed presence, her depth of experience and knowledge about the birth made her a fantastic fit. From the beginning, she outlined her role to encourage the role of my husband and not step into his role as main support person.

In our prenatal visits, Christi taught us rebozo moves to do at home to help with baby positioning and aches and pains. One evening, we practiced sifting and less than 5 minutes later, my water broke! Throughout the entire birth and pregnancy experience, Christi was there to answer questions via text, support us through the labor journey, and monitor our recovery after we transitioned home.

Once we were at home, Christi visited and brought cookies, flowers, a written outline of our birth experience and other goodies. I felt like we were supported 100% of the way in all of our decisions. What I appreciate most about Christi is her authentic and genuine nature and the gift she has to come along side women in such a life-transforming time. I appreciate the care she continued to show even after her post-partum visit. I highly recommend Christi, without hesitation, to anyone who considers hiring a doula.

Christi joined us in our home for an informal meet and greet. We instantly loved her and knew she was “the one” for us. Her calm, gentle demeanor blended perfectly with our natural birth plan. Our plan was to labor at home as long as possible before driving into the hospital. I went into labor on July 4th. During this time, Christi was in contact with us making sure we were managing everything well. Contractions were steady through the early morning hours of July 5, but were becoming more intense. Christi met us at the hospital. We were checked in quickly after measuring 4cm, fully effaced. Christi immediately began prepping our bathtub with essential oils and a hot bath. She was quick to offer counter pressure for lower back pain, talked us through contractions, suggested alternative positions while laboring to alleviate discomfort, and was a listening ear when we needed her. Our labor progressed rather quickly, dialating from 6cm to 10cm in about 45 minutes. She was completely hands-on when we needed her to be: helping reposition, guiding us through laboring down, and just being extremely calm and patient. After reaching 10cm, the midwife and nurse arrived and within 6 minutes our baby girl was born. Christi knew at each step of labor what to do and say. She was intuitive and naturally knew what was about to happen. She made sure we had what we needed immediately following the birth. After we arrived home, she visited within two weeks and delivered a bouquet of beautiful fresh cut flowers, some tasty lactation cookies, and notes from our birth. We recounted the birth from the first contraction to the final push. Christi showed patience, strength, and offered encouragement at the most necessary times throughout labor and delivery. Now, we have an incredible memory of our birth and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.

As first time parents, my husband and I hired Christi to be our doula for the extra support and knowledge. She was such a blessing, and we will most definitely have her a part of future pregnancies and births.

Christi brings an aura of warmth and calmness, which was evident the very first time we met her. She provided us with incredible support during the pregnancy and would answer the many questions we had. During one of our home visits, she brought a Rebozo and demonstrated to us things we could do to help alleviate late pregnancy discomfort in my hips, back and neck. She also demonstrated an exercise we could do to help with the baby's positioning.

My labor and birth was not what we had expected. My water broke at 39 weeks, and I had to be started on pitocin. I labored for 27 hours on pitocin and had difficulty progressing due to the baby being face up and head turned, and demonstrating signs that he would not fit through the birth canal. Christi was there for my husband and me every step of the way. She helped offer me suggestions with positioning so that I was more comfortable. She performed massage and pressure to help me work through the back labor. She had a cool wash cloth with lavender oil to help calm my energy. She would count through contractions and help to reinforce affirmations I had listened to at the end of my pregnancy. She was a calming prescence in a time we neeeded with the uncertainty of possible c-section.

We were fortunate enough that baby remained healthy and we were able to have a vaginal delivery. Christi provided both my husband and I the support we needed during the birth. Afterwards, she made sure we ate something and felt comfortable with breast feeding.

I give Christi the highest recommendation. She is fabulous at what she does, and she truly cares and wants what is best for each person.

For our 2nd child, we decided to hire a Doula. We didn't hire a Doula with our first child and had a rough experience which included a failed induction and c-section. We wanted to attemp v-bac with our second child and knew that we needed a team that supported that effort. Christi was so supportive and gave us great recommendations for hospitals, doctors and methods.

Once my due date came and went, I started to panick and scheduled a c-section for 40 weeks + 5 days. Christi encouraged me to wait a little longer to see if I would go into labor.  I did go into labor on my own at 41 weeks + 2 days! We went to the hospital that night and labored for a couple hours. Around 3 am I knew I couldn't do it on my own anymore. Christi got to the hospital soon and started talking me through every contraction! I was amazed at how well I did with her help! I honestly don't know how anyone goes through labor without a wonderful, supportive Doula like Christi. She helped my husband support me, and supported him too. It was so great to have her there and I dont know how I could have done it without her.

Aftter 30 hours, my cervix stalled at 4 centimeters and started to swell. I ended up having another c-section but the doctor allowed Christi to be in the operating room with us which was so great because she took amazing pictures of the birth while my husband focused on me and our son.  I'm so grateful for the experience of going into labor on my own and the beauty of laboring with amazing support and seeing what I am really made of! After the birth Christi checked on us and sent us supportive and encouraging text messages.  She even brought us a meal and some beautiful flowers at our postpartum visit. She is truly an amazing person and very good at what she does. I couldn't be more grateful to her and the support she gave me through this process. I absolutely recommend having a Doula for birth and I especially recommend Christ!

If you are unsure about hiring a doula- it is a MUST - and Christi is a MUST. I feel so thankful that she was with me through my first pregnancy and delivery and she will be among the first to know once we have baby #2 on the way.

During pregnancy there is always amazing attention and focus on the baby but in our culture a lot of times the mother's care (specifically emotional care) does not have the same priority. Christi is there to make sure that all of mom's needs are taken care of - during pregnancy, labor and delivery as well as post partum. No matter what those needs are! Making sure you stay hydrated and eat during labor, getting cool rags for your weary head, repeating affirmations and letting you squeeze her hand as contractions come on. She is calm, supportive of all your personal decisions and wants to create the best possible experience for your family. Christi is there in a moments notice with a text or call whenever you have questions or concerns -no matter how 'silly' they may be. She makes your hopes, desires and needs as a mother a priority and gets to know you and your family before the birth process. During labor and delivery she is right by your side ... and having all trust in her guidance - you are able to relax and feel confident that everything is happening perfectly and the way it should be.

Thank you Christi for your amazing care and the empowerment that you gave me as a first time mom. Thank you for listening and allowing our family to be ourselves so that we could have the most amazing home birth for our son Michael.

Christiana was wonderful to work with! As first time parents, neither of us truly knew what to expect. One can only prepare so much. The rest is left to be discovered as it unfolds. This was the case for my husband and I. We valued information and a sense of preparedness, but we were aware of (and embraced) the unknown involved in pregnancy, childbirth and beyond. Christiana supported us as we trusted in the process. Being far from family and our larger support network, Christiana fullfilled a role of support and encouragement, making herself available should questions or need arise. Christiana helped me to envision, express and experience the birth I imagined and desired. Throughout the process I felt heard, cherished and empowered. I was able to be present during my pregnancy and birth experience. I look back fondly on the birth of our daughter with a sense of awe and gratitude. I know that Christiana played an integral role in making our vision a reality. My husband and I recommend Christiana with enthusiasm and full confidence!

It was such a pleasure working with Christiana, her love and passion for each mom shines through. This was my third baby. My first was emergency c section and second was augmented with pictocin. I really felt discouraged with how each delivery seemed out of my control and I really wanted to try and capture the miracle it really was. Christiana was an answer to prayer. I loved her passion and how she made me feel special and cared for. She would check in see how I was doing. I was able to voice my concerns openly about c section, uncertainty of labor,  different questions. She always got back to me in a timely manner, offering encouragement and advice. After having problems and concerns with baby's position I started to get discouraged about possibly not having yet another labor and delivery naturally like I had hoped. Christiana was able to provide knowledgeable advice, encouragement, and even demonstrated some things I could do to help baby change into a more ideal position which was evident it worked from my very short labor. I loved that I was able to share my pregnancy with her and really connect with someone that listened and wanted to hear about how it was going even tho t was my third baby I was able to really capture the miracle he is instead of just having another baby. Afterwards she came and visited, showed me how to wear the baby so that I could still effectively care for my other two small children. It has been an amazing experience and relationship that was built, and it's evident that she feels the same.

There are so many things about our birth story that we are grateful for yet one person quickly surfaces to the top and that is our doula, Christi Stoltzfus. We are so glad that we asked her to be part of our journey as we became parents. Kind, caring, calm, reassuring, knowledgeable, and informative are just a few words that come to my mind. She met with us twice before I was in labor offering relevant information but not so much that I felt overwhelmed. She answered our questions and gave beneficial pain management and labor techniques for me and for my husband so he would know how to help me best. During my labor (which looking back spanned a few days), she came over and did some exercises with me and provided much needed encouragement. She was an on-call resource. And of course, she was with us before, during, and after our baby was born. She facilitated the environment that we had discussed and that was important to me. Having a familiar face during our baby’s birth was comforting to me. After our little boy was born, she made sure we had everything we needed and that we were comfortable and fed before she left. She also checked in periodically and met with me and my husband to make sure things were going ok and offered beneficial post partum information. We certainly would recommend Christi to anyone. Thank you!

Christiana Stoltzfus was such a wonderful part of the journey to bring our baby into the world. Before getting to know Christi, I was very uncertain of how to navigate the all my prenatal and birth choices. This was my third birth, but in some ways it was like my first because I was in another country when I had my first two children. This time around I was very unsure of myself and the birth system here. Through getting to know Christi, I was able to work through all my questions, uncertainties, and fears. Christi is immensely calm, gentle, knowledgeable, and kind; and her talents touched our entire family. She went above and beyond my needs all the time. Her presence as my doula throughout my pregnancy and birth gave me enourmous courage and I was able to have the gentle hospital birth and the peaceful start with our baby that I had hoped for.

Christi was an amazing asset and resource during our pregnancy and birth! We moved to the area during our pregnancy, knowing no one, and she immediately stepped up to help us find local resources for our needs. She was incredibly thoughtful and very much a team player, checking in on us regularly during the pregnancy, teaming up with our second doula to ensure all the wishes of our birth plan were met, and establishing a beautiful relationship with our toddler, who was present at baby brother’s birth. Our labor lasted (off and on) for 6 days and she was there all three times we went to the birth center, spending hours each time on comfort measures, sibling support, and diligently assisting in getting baby turned so that he could be born. Her rapport with my husband and son throughout the entire process was amazing and allowed me to relax, knowing they were well supported. Her knowledge and skills were invaluable in achieving our natural water birth. She even found time, through everything else, to take some photos for us and took notes on the progress of our labor so that we could compose our birth story later. I am honored today to call her our friend and look forward to having her as an attendant for the births of all future blessings that come along!

I am a first time mother.  There are all kinds of NEW experiences that grow along this new path. Christi was there each step of the way. (And still is) Her kind, gentle, relaxed spirit was exactly what my husband and I needed.  Not only is she knowledgeable and helpful in the birthing, medical, natural questions of the world ... She was very comfortable and quite supportive in letting us make the decisions that best suited our needs/wants.  I loved (loved) having her as my doula and could not have made a better decision.  Giving birth is a pretty big deal :). And we were so glad we had her by our sides!  Christi began this journey with us in an informative, reliable, way...and was no different by the end.  She actually stayed longer than her "scheduled time" and the nurses have commented to us on what an amazing doula she was.

We highly recommend Christi and we are just so thankful for the gift she was to us, in being our Doula!!

Christiana was GREAT and i would totally use her as a doula again! It was very easy for me to talk with her and feel comfortable sharing such an intimate family event with her.

She is familiar with herbs & how to use them as well as very talented with a rebozo. In very natural and gentle ways she was able to help me with different ailments that i had during pregnancy. She even helped turn our baby and keep him head down and ready for delivery.

During doctor visits she made every effort to come to the ones that i felt i needed her support through. Not only was she a wonderful support emotionally, but she was full of knowledge and understanding of the medical practices and how to achieve some of the same results in a more naturual way. She knew the questions to ask that i would later wonder about and was able to help me find my voice & ask them.

Before labor & delivery she knew very well how I hoped the birth process would go. She did everything in her power to help me achieve just that by sharing sound knowledge on procedures, informing me of my many options and by being an excellant source of encouragement throughout the whole birth experience. She even had healthy snacks for my husband when he needed an energy boost.

Once our baby was born she helped me remember proper breastfeeding techniques and stayed quite a while until she knew we were settled. Even in postpartum, her visit was very helpful & informative & of course chuck full of TLC for both baby, myself the rest of our family. I feel this baby also brought the birth of another new family member in Christi & she will forever be a part of our family.

I couldn't be happier with my doula Christi... She was absolutely my saving grace during my pregnancy and birth of my first child- a baby girl born September 28, 2012. She was so understanding, caring and compassionate and I felt like I could talk to her about anything- my joys, fears, doubts, emotions, - sometimes I just needed a good cry and didn't have words- and she was there; understanding- even when I didn't. I had a very long labor... My water broke on a Wednesday at 4:30pm and I didn't give birth until that Friday at 4:33am... I had 30 hours of back labor, 12 hours of active labor which was all in my back... I could not sit still and had to move the entire time.. Christi saved my life so many times!! Sometimes i couldn't stand to be touched and couldn't talk or communicate much- but other times she would come in exactly at the right moment With hip squeezes, counter pressure, hanging on her- you name it...she did it and got me through it.. She was my personal jungle gym. There was such a flow there.. I felt she was closer than a sister... She has become my sister... Even after I gave birth she has been so supportive, giving me such wonderful advice: help on breast feeding- which has made such a difference!! She encapsulated my placenta, which was a very big for me personally. She helped with so many things after birth that I didn't expect, like even just needing to have the dishes done, or taking the dogs on a walk, or experiencing some baby blues... I feel like everyone's birth experience is different, and for mine there were so many spectrums and she was my wonder woman.. Helping me through them all. She has a tenderness and love and strength that is so rare.. I felt like she loved me and loved my daughter like her own... I would definitely recommend Christi as a doula to anyone- she is the best!!!! I will definitely have her be my doula again with any more of mine. She was better than anything I could have hoped for..
