Meagan was an amazing doula and provided me and my family fantastic support throughout the pregnancy and during the birth of my son.  My husband and I chose to use a doula for this second pregnancy because we would be moving from Hawaii to Virginia at the beginning of my third trimester and I felt that having a doula would help me feel more comfortable giving birth in a new location with a provider that I wouldn't have had much time to build a relationship with.  We hired Meagan early in the pregnancy and it was truly the best decision we could have made.  Meagan was an essential resource to us as we navigated finding care in Virginia and recommended hospitals that would be a good fit for us based on my goals for the birth.  When we finally made it to Virginia, she helped us make a plan for the birth and gave us a lot of good advice on how to be successful in achieving our desired birth.  She was always available to answer questions for me as the due date drew closer and provided amazing support during the birth.  The energy she brought to the room contributed to the birth being an amazing and fun experience for both me and my husband! I loved that I felt fully supported throughout the whole labor and having her there gave my husband the opportunity to catch our son! I couldn't imaging the birth going as well without her and will definitely use her again if we ever have more children!

Meagan was a fantastic doula and I would highly recommend having her attend your birth if you are considering a doula. Since this was our first time going through this, it really helped having someone there that was able to coach us through the process before we headed over to the Birth Center. I think for my husband it was really great because she was there to help him through the process as well. We had a fantastic birth team and we have Meagan to thank. We now have a beautiful baby girl and wouldn't have done it any other way. Thanks again Meagan!

I had the fortune of finding Meagan to assist my husband and I with the birth of our daughter Hannah.  She was absolutely incredible along the way and on the day of labor. We found her about 4 months before I was to give birth, she was extremely transparent about the process, her role, her limitations and made sure we had a good understanding of the unpredictability that can often be experienced during childbirth.  She was extremely supportive during what was an exhausting process, she managed to always find the right words to encourage me to reach my goal of an unmedicated birth as well as the necessary firmness to help me stick to my plan, even in moments of complete doubt.  She was an essential member of my birth team and I am blessed to have found her. Whenever we are ready to expand our family even further I am confident that I will be hiring Meagan again.

Meagan is an absolutely amazing doula. She assisted my husband and I in the birth of our first child and she was a godsend. I wanted my labor and delivery to be non-medicated and Meagan provided natural pain management techniques that not only greatly helped but that also empowered my husband to help me during labor. Meagan encouraged me throughout the laboring process and during the actual delivery and she made sure I was as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend her services to anyone who is looking for a natural birthing experience or just for encouragement during labor and delivery. Meagan is knowledgable and well informed about the birthing process as well and gave me and my husband advice and guidance as we were developing our birth plan and for postpartum help as well. Thank you Meagan!! You are amazing!!

When I found out I was pregnant, I immediately began researching pregnancy, labor and natural childbirth.  I wasn't sure what I wanted for my 'birth plan' but it didn't take much research to determine that having a doula present was beneficial.  With a medical background, I didn't want a doula that overstepped my boundaries in regards to helping make medical decisions and passing judgment if I wasn't making a decision that was 'natural' enough.  Meagan was exactly the type of person I was looking for.  She came over for a prenatal visit and discussed different Labor and birth options and gave me a binder with a lot of helpful documents.  Also via email she sent me multiple pages of evidence-based research, I read it all and learned a lot. She never passed judgment about the decisions I made but just provided me the options with research to back it up.  She was always available by email and responded to my text messages. My due date was Thanksgiving day and she still took me on, giving up her own holiday plans.  My labor ended up being 37 hours long. I labored at home for almost 24 hours and she was there a lot of that time providing essential oils aromatherapy, massage, breathing techniques, positioning, heat packs for my back labor, providing guidance for my husband and my mom on how to support me, the list goes on!  At the hospital, this hands-on support continued.  It was very difficult at times but I did have a natural childbirth and i know that I would have had a c-section and/or an epidural if it wasn't for my amazing labor team, led by Meagan.  Also, she came to see me for a postnatal visit, bringing me lactaction cookies, an udder cover and awesome advice on breastfeeding that ended up saving me from seeing a lactation Consultant.  I highly recommend Meagan as a doula, her support will never be forgotten!

Meagan Pa was AWESOME!!! Her care and assistance both before, during, and after labor was excellent! I did not have a doula with my first baby and I can tell you that it made a world of difference!

First of all at 35 weeks my baby was breech and she really helped to ease my mind and teach me different things I could do to get the baby to flip and she did end up flipping!

Second she helped me with every contraction and knew exactly what to do to get me through them with as much comfort as possible.  She was attentive and careful.  She always asked if what she was doing was helpful.

I highly recommend her! If you are considering hiring a doula and wonder if it is worth it,  I can tell you it certianly is!
