We are very happy we hired Jessica to help with our little daughter. It was really nice to have her around - she proactively found things she can support us with (cleaning dishes, laundry and most importantly - taking care of our  baby and educating and showing me how to do that best). I'm so grateful for her kindness and expertise and I would definitely recommend her to any new parents looking for a little extra help and reassurance.

We were so grateful to have Jessica come and help our family after the early birth of our son.  She was such a calming presence in a house that seemed to have descended into chaos when we brought our newborn home.  She was very knowledge and helpful about young babies, nursing, and postpartum recovery and gave us many little tips and suggestions in a very positive way.  She was always on time, communicated well and promptly and was friendly with our puppy as well.  I would highly recommend Jessica to anyone looking for a postpartum doula!

We hired Jessica as our postpartum doula to take care of our newborn for the first two and half months. Jessica was extremely good with our baby. She is very professional, responsible, and easy to communicate with. She has a very calm and warm personality and really shows her care for the whole family. As first time parents, we got lots of helpful tips for newborns. She took amazing care of our baby and also help us with the laundry, cleaning bottles and chores. She knows how to calm and entertain the baby. Jessica is very experienced in looking after babies. She also helped us build up baby’s routine. We enjoyed working with her a lot and she was definitely beyond our expectation. We highly recommend her to other families!

Jessica was great, I highly recommend her as a doula! She was kind and knowledgeable through the whole thing; before birth, during, and after. Even when plans changed at the last minute and I ended up needing an induction she was there at the hospital helping my husband and I the whole time. We definitely couldn't have done it without her, she was great! As first time parents the whole thing was a pretty scary process for us, especially since we didn't plan on a hospital birth, but Jessica helped us feel more at ease. Her doula training and experience helped me get through the contractions the best I could. I highly recommend Jessica, she gets a 10/10 from us!!!

I feel quite blessed to have found Jessica. Though this was my 5th baby, Jessica still had new and valuable ideas to offer me in out pre-natal visits. Her gentle demeanor created a safe environment to voice my fears and hesitations, while her knowledge and supportiveness helped build my confidence. Jessica aided me in letting go of previous negative experiences to truly improve my own ability of naturally birthing my baby at home.

My labor was fast and hard. Jessica had a very quiet presence during this, almost as if she wasn't there, but at the same time placing a cool, wet washcloth on my neck or offering me a sip of ice water from a straw. I didn't have to ask for these things, she just seemed to instinctively know I needed them.

After the baby was born, my husband was quite busy attending to our other four children and the midwives were engaged in finishing up my post-partum care. I knew that my newborn was in good hands with Jessica, who is an experienced mother. This allowed me to relax and take the path of proper healing before stepping back into the ever-consuming role of caring for a newborn.

I have birthed all my babies in different locations with different types of providers, and I have to say that this birth was by far the best out of all of them. I credit much of this to Jessica and believe that she would be a valuable asset to any birth experience!

Jessica Kay was my Doula for my first baby. Never having had a baby, I had no idea what to expect. When Jessica asked to be my Doula, I thought, that would be fantastic, because I don't know what I'm doing and I know my husband has no idea what to do either. My water broke at 3 am and my doctor recommended that I go to the hospital even though I wasn't in labor yet. I was in a high risk pregnancy and they didn't want to take any chances. When I called Jessica she was so willing and ready to come and be with me. She had so many ideas to try and get my body into labor. After 12 hours I was induced, and then the real labor started. Jessica had the most soothing voice and I felt much better during the contractions with her there. She knew what to say and the best part is she knew what to do to my the contractions bearable. When one way to sooth me during a contraction started to not have the best effect, she was right there with another idea. I didn't have my baby until 3 am the next day and Jessica stayed with me the whole time. It was such a wonderful experience and I am indebted to her for her kindness and loving care during my delivery. I've recommended Jessica to others I know who are pregnant and will continue to recommend her; she is a fantastic Doula.

Jessica Kay was a terrific, compassionate doula at the natural VBAC birth of my 3rd child. During our first two children’s births, I liked how my husband and I worked as a team during labor; however, looking back we realized there were times when things would have gone more smoothly if we’d had help. For the birth of our third child, we wanted someone to help us communicate our needs to the medical staff, to give my husband a chance for rest, and to assist with comfort measures when labor became difficult to navigate. During our prenatal visits, Jessica asked us about our goals for this birth, and asked about our previous experiences in childbirth. She assured us that her job as a doula was to help me have the kind of birth I wanted; she didn’t want to make me fit any other mold. She was a sympathetic ear as I voiced my hopes and concerns. At the hospital, Jessica was ready the whole time to help with anything and everything. Having her there eased the burden on my husband and helped me to relax and prepare for our baby’s birth. She helped us be sure we got our questions answered by the nurse and she helped us get the supplies we needed, like a birth ball and a wireless monitor. At one point, my husband needed a nap, so she supported me during contractions and took a walk with me to get things moving. During transition, when I was really struggling, Jessica offered ideas for finding comfort, and she listened to what I wanted and needed. She was very perceptive and encouraging, and her suggestions were gentle. Jessica offered to take some pictures when I was pushing and during the first special moments after our baby was born. These pictures are such a treasure to me now. I felt so triumphant and proud after birthing my daughter without drugs. Jessica gave me the support and peace of mind I needed to get past my self-doubt and accomplish this goal.
