We will never regret having Amie as our doula! She is nothing short of amazing! From the very first visit, we knew she was the doula for us. She's so kind, encouraging, supportive and knowledgeable. If we had any questions, she was always right there. When the time came, she helped us decide when we needed to head to the hospital. During labor, she was such a support for both of us but having her there was very reassuring for my husband. When he needed a break, she could take over. When we needed to make a decision, she was there to help us understand what our options were. Amie was there throughout the very long labor, always offering affirmations, counter pressure, support, strength and so much more. She was also able to capture photos of the many precious moments. We are very grateful to all she did and we know that if we ever have another child, she will be the first doula we call!

We hired Katie to be the doula for the birth of our first child, and loved her so much we brought her on board to assist with our second child's birth, too!  My husband was hesitant at first to have a doula--he was afraid she would 'replace' him during the birth.  Katie quickly put him at ease, and let him know that she would help HIM as much as she helped me; she would give him tips and ideas during the birthing process on how to support me...and that's exactly what she did.  With Katie's help, encouragement, suggestions and support (to both my husband and me) I was able to have two natural child births, and for that I am incredibly grateful.  Katie provides great post-birth support, too.  After both births she came to our home to visit, providing tips on breastfeeding, baby care, and mom's health (physical and mental), too.  She was also of great help after the birth of our second child when we encountered serious issues with his inability to sleep.  I look forward to the day when I can tell both of my boys their birth stories and about their amazing doula, Katie, who was an important part of it all!
