Here is what a client named Holly Rohani has to say about working with Tamara Cleaver - :

Tamara was my post partum doula for 5 months. She helped me tremendously as a first time mother, and was amazing with my newborn son. She's patient, kind, compassionate and respectful, and it was clear my son loved spending time with her! She helped with breastfeeding as I was having trouble, and even created a detailed list of breastfeeding articles and infortmation, it was extremely thoughful. It was a joy for us to have her as our doula, and I cannot recommend her enough.

Here is what a client named Steph De Almeida has to say about working with Janice:

I hired Janice as a postpartum Doula. I was mainly looking for help with my newborn with severe acid reflux and I also have a busy toddler. She helped with my children but also did so much more, cleaning up, washed bottles, took the kids to the park so I could shower and relax. At first I was hesitant to hire a doula, having someone I did not know in my home with me and my children at such a vulnerable time. But Janice is so warm, kind and is someone who is so easy to instantly connect with. She always went above and beyond, checking in on me with text messages, being a supportive person to talk to and incredibly good with my two young children. My toddler loves her, that to me is very telling. She is incredibly knowledgeable and supported me through my anxious times. She offered suggestions but was never pushy. She made me feel validated in my parenting decisions. I trust Janice completely with my newborn and toddler. My toddler even said she loves Janice and was missing her. Hiring her was the best decision I made, worth every penny. Thank you Jancie for all you did for me and my family!

Here is what a client named Ari Miller has to say about working with Maria:

I've been deeply blessed to have Maria with me at the birth of both my children. I first connected with her when I was about 20 weeks pregnant with my daughter in the fall of 2020. Maria's gentle, intuituve, and rocksteady support empowered me to trust my body and my baby, which supported the space for a beautiful home birth experience. Throughout my labor, I felt Maria's peaceful presence in the room and in moments when sensation became almost overwhelming, her physical strength (from a hand-hold or placing pressure on my hips) grounded me again in my own breath and intention. She intuited when I needed touch, or a sip of water, or a fresh cloth on the back of my neck. She was an angel in the room that day.
When Maria moved from Salt Spring to Vancouver Island, we didn't have as many opportunities to connect in person during my second pregnancy. But that didn't in any way diminish her care - if anything, it deepened my gratitude as she made soul-warming efforts to be physically present on Salt Spring around the time I was due. I unexpectedly ended up birthing off-island, but Maria quickly mobilized and made a massive effort to join us and support our son's arrival.
Her post-partum care is above and beyond. As a deeply sensitive and empathetic person - and, perhaps above all, as a mother herself - Maria just... KNOWS. She knows how to nourish your heart, body, and soul in a way that is so incredibly loving and intimate, while at the same time being completely unintrusive.
Maria is one of the best people I know and I am forever grateful that she is an integral part of our birth stories. I'm honored to call her my doula and friend.
