  Speaking to Jan was a breath of fresh air. She knew exactly where I was coming from with an alternative medicine background.  Her long history of being a doula, a mother, a grandmother, enthusiasm, confidence, calming demeanor, sense of humor and willingness to help in any way- made our decision a no brainer.  That’s how we felt about Jan – we were a team and would make thoughtful decisions together.

  About one week after my due date our son was finally ready to grace us with his presence. After checking into the hospital Jan was there within forty-five minutes. Jan took control of the mood of the room- instantly she lit scented lavender,  gave the nurse a copy of my birthing plan- spoke to the nurse about my birthing plan. Talked about using cold or hot compresses, had oils to massage my perineum when necessary, etc. Jan was so prepared and ready- it was great!

 Jan, and the third rounds of nurses and doctors really followed my birthing plan to the T. There was no doubt in my mind that Jan would do everything in her power to make my ideal birth possible.  After 28 hours of labor-Nolan Daniel Roberts was 9lbs 6 oz and 20.9 inches long. My OBGYN was correct that our baby boy was large but he had no idea how confident this mama was and that she had the best possible team to cheer her on!

 My husband and I cannot thank Jan enough! She not only took care of me but also took care of my husband’s needs. We couldn’t have been so strong through out our journey without her and when we get pregnant again- there is no doubt that Jan’s phone will be ringing. Thank you Jan!

From the minute Jan entered our home we knew she was a perfect match for our family. She was so easy to know & emotionally available that we were completely comfortable having her spend a couple nights a week with us.
We were completely sleep deprived as most parents are at this point and Jan came to not only give us some much needed sleep but also to help with our baby’s fussiness.
Our baby girl had a bad case of reflux and as a result did not sleep very well. It was amazing to see how quickly our baby calmed down in Jan’s arms. The days following Jan’s night visits were such a pleasure our baby was so peaceful & happy all day long!
Our experience with Jan was truly wonderful & we highly recommend her as a compassionate, warm & outstanding postpartum doula.

Jan was so wonderful. I was able to have the natural drug free birth that I dreamed of! I am so thankful. She seemed to know what I needed during the birth without me having to express myself verbally, as I was too into getting through my contractions to really be clear. She never doubted my ability to birth my little girl without drugs and gave me the confidence I needed. She never left my side and came to my appointments with me and stayed when I needed her to. She was always available when I had a question or concern. Shes been amazing post partum doula as well, she is so good with both my girls and she again anticipates what I need before i know I need it! I would highly recommend her to anyone and I feel extremley blessed and thankful to have had her as our doula~!
