I currently volunteer in the Pediatric Emergency Department at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital and am involved in a community health program through Samuel Merritt University that focuses on increasing access to care in Oakland. I’m also a member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses and other nursing student organizations. Through nursing school, I’ve had clinical experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, and the NICU, which is where my interest in supporting new parents and babies really grew. Although I am not providing nursing or medical services in my role as a doula, my nursing education has helped me become more comfortable around newborns and postpartum families and has strengthened my interest in maternal-newborn care. I’m especially drawn to helping families feel supported, informed, and a little more confident as they adjust to life with a new baby.

Hi everyone! I’m a nursing student and DONA-trained postpartum doula working toward my certification. To finish my requirements, I’m so excited to offer free, loving postpartum support to a few families in the Bay Area. My nursing clinicals in labor, postpartum, and the NICU showed me just how much I love nurturing new parents and babies. As your doula, my role is non-medical, I’m simply there to make sure you feel cared for, held, and a little less overwhelmed. I’d love to help with emotional support, newborn care, feeding, light household tasks, or just holding your sweet baby so you can rest and shower! To secure your shifts on my calendar and protect my certification timeline, I do require a $100 commitment deposit. This is 100% refundable and returned in full on our last visit.
