Fee Details
Retainer & Reservation Policy To secure contracted dates, a 10% retainer is required at booking. This retainer reserves Shy & Co.’s availability and is credited toward the Client’s final scheduled services under the agreement. The retainer is non-refundable, except where the signed service agreement specifically provides otherwise. Payment / Billing Services are billed by the hour or according to a written service agreement. Clients receive invoices showing service dates, hours, rates, payments, and any applicable service-credit retainer. Refund & Dispute Policy Refunds, credits, and disputes are handled according to the signed service agreement and the services already performed or reserved. Clients are encouraged to contact Shy & Co. directly regarding any billing questions so concerns can be reviewed promptly.

I found Shy on Care.com when my husband and I were looking for an infant nanny at the beginning of last year. My daughter had colic at around 2 weeks old, and I was honestly a train wreck and didn’t know what to do. It still feels like a fever dream sometimes. I don’t know how she did it, but Shy managed to take over for us so we could get some sleep and gave us some techniques that she liked to use to help soothe. Honestly, for about 6 months, getting the sleep needed was such a relief, and thankfully the colic went away at 3 months. But throughout it all, Shy was there to help guide us and give us the assistance we desperately needed.
