We’ve been so excited to write our review for Brooke! I wanted an unmedicated birth just like with our first baby. Things got very rocky and I was told I needed an emergency c-section, when I arrived to the OR they assessed me one more time and I ended up having a vaginal birth. Brooke was with us every step of the way. We were following my unmedicated birth plan amazingly for 8 hours. Every time I was asked a question and I couldn’t answer or she heard hesitation come from me she would jump right to an answer from our birth plan, or sit next to me to calmly explain what was occurring. She talked me through every contraction, gave not just me but my husband so many great tips on how to get through each one. When the time came to rush to the OR, Brooke made sure my husband and her were both there to support me and  quickly scrubbed in. She talked to me calmly and reassured me multiple times that everything would be okay. My husband said she was the person that kept him calm in the midst of all the panic. Brooke was an absolute blessing. When I first reached out to Brooke to be our doula I only had the simple understanding of what a doula does but after my experience, I can tell you that having her there was a sense of peace in not having to always think on your own when your going through the toughest pain, it’s also having an advocate for you and your husband because honestly if it weren’t for Brooke my husband would’ve more then likely missed the birth of our baby with all the commotion. I also want to give her a huge shoutout on the fact that both my mom and MIL are Spanish speaking and she made sure that they were also explained every single thing that was occurring so that they would not feel excluded!! I would 100% have Brooke be there at every one of my delivery’s and everyone considering it should also let her be apart of their special day!

From the moment labor became intense, she was exactly the support I needed. There were multiple points where I was convinced I couldn’t keep going and was begging for an epidural. Instead of letting me panic, Brooke stayed calm, encouraged me, and helped me find ways to work through each contraction.

When I reached my breaking point, she suggested getting into the shower. That decision completely changed everything. Thanks to her guidance and encouragement, I ended up having the completely natural, physiological birth I had hoped for.

She wasn’t just there for me, she was incredible for my husband too. She helped him know exactly what to say and do to support me physically and emotionally throughout labor, making him feel confident and involved instead of overwhelmed. Together, they made an amazing team, and I truly believe my experience would have been completely different without her.

Brooke respected my birth plan, advocated for my wishes, and gave me confidence when I didn’t think I had any left. Looking back on my birth, one of the biggest reasons it went so beautifully was because she was there.

If you’re considering hiring a birth doula, I cannot recommend Brooke highly enough. I will always be grateful for the role she played in bringing our daughter into the world.

Brooke supported us through an unplanned induction, not only keeping us grounded but also advocating for our birth plan when we couldn’t! 

My labor was long, 30+ hrs but Brooke was there right when we called on her to help me through contractions. Before that (at our request) she was a lifeline on the phone that we could reach out to at any time with questions as we navigated the long induction process! When things got intense, Brooke coached me and my husband through different coping skills and with the sweetest words of encouragement. 

When I felt like I couldn’t do it anymore and let myself down, she stepped up to re-frame my thoughts and turned a challenging birth story into a perfect one! 

When I was deep in transition and almost ready to meet our baby, she quickly added candles around the room and set up the most peaceful environment without us even having to ask. And once our sweet baby was born, she again advocated for us when the doctors tried rushing the delivery of my placenta without me knowing! 

I cannot speak highly enough of Brooke. She met us on the best day of our lives and we will forever be grateful for her and her knowledge - she truly has a gift and will help many more moms without a doubt!
