Working with Tamika and Kindroot Doula Collective made such a meaningful difference during my birth and postpartum experience. From the beginning, Tamika made me feel heard, respected, and supported. She took the time to understand what I wanted for my birth while also helping me feel prepared for the unexpected.

During labor, Tamika brought a calm and reassuring presence into the room. She helped me stay grounded, reminded me of my options, supported my partner, and made sure I never felt alone or overwhelmed. She did not take over my experience—she helped me feel confident using my own voice.

What stood out most was that her care did not end after the baby was born. During postpartum, Tamika continued checking on me as a whole person, not only as a new mother. She made space for my emotions, encouraged me to rest, helped me think through what support I needed, and reminded me that accepting help did not mean I was failing.

Tamika’s care is compassionate, practical, and deeply personal. She truly understands that families need support before, during, and after birth.
