I volunteer for the BIRTH fair each year and am very involved in ICAN. I work extensively with moms who have had one or more prior cesareans, as well as those who have an expected loss or pregnancy after loss. I am accepting donations for scholarships for teens and women with crisis pregnancies or planning adoption. I also have extensive experience working with adults and children on the autism spectrum, which can be helpful working as a doula with ASD families. I have been a student midwife for two years and am now primary midwife under supervision of a licensed midwife (I am not licensed yet.)

Sarah attended the birth of my 3rd son and was such a calming presence not only during labor but at all of my prenatal appointments as well. She has such a kind heart and is very knowledgeable about pregnancy, labor, raising kids, and beyond. I'm so thankful to have had her as part of my birth team!
I am so glad I found Sarah to be my doula. She was great from the start. Always easy to get a hold of and she even met me at the emergency room when I was having issues before my birth. She came to our home and did practice sessions with us and made my hubby and I feel so comfortable. I ended up having a Csection and Sarah was so great through it all. She even stayed with my family in the waiting room, helped me with nursing and would have stayed all night if I hadn't told her it was okay to go home. She was over the top fabulous! Thank you Sarah for helping me have a calm birth and a great birth plan. If you choose Sarah, you will be in great hands!
Sarah came into our pregnancy a little later than normal, but we are so lucky she did! We were pregnant with our 4th baby, and planning a home birth. I had attempted a homebirth 2 other times and they had resulted in a hospital transfer. This time we were informed there was a problem with the placenta and would need yet another hospital birth. Sarah not only supported us through this difficult time, she went above and beyond to help us in every way. She was so giving and caring the entire time. She insured we had everything we'd need through out the pregnancy and birth and beyond. During labor she was everything I needed her to be, educated, calm, strong, supportive, caring, and so much more. We are truly grateful for her presence and if we ever choose to have another child we will without a doubt be calling her back! She is truly a joy to be around.
I was lucky to find Sarah. I knew how great she could be from the moment I interviewed her. I had my baby girl Sophia on Sep 15th, 2016 and she had been a great support since 2am in the morning when I called her informing her about my contractions; she arrived our house that early morning to provide pre-hospital submission support and stayed with us until we had our precious girl in the next 12 hours of back labor. Her pain relief techniques helped me much in the appointments before labor as well as during labor. Her positive attitude and smile adds to her experience and knowledge supporting moms in need especially in my case with a posterior baby, sciatica, and big baby in my tiny body. I highly recommend her and I would use her service again for sure if I have another baby. Thank you Sarah.
I met Sarah through my Midwife on my journey to my HBA2C. She was amazing through out that journey. Before labor began I had a scare that led me to have to go to the hospital and I was devastated. Sarah was by my side the whole time, not only way she there for me physically she was there for me emotionally because I definitely was a mess. During my labor she was great!! My anxiety was high and I got scared a few times and Sarah was right there to help me come back to my peaceful place. I am so lucky to have had her be a part of my birth team!!
My decision to have a doula attend my vbac was the best decision I could have ever made. Having Sarah be that doula was the second best decision I made!!! She was AMAZING!!! She was so supportive and comforting every step of the way. She went above and beyond for us in soooooo many ways that we will forever be grateful to her. She is such a caring person and can anticipate your needs before you even ask. My husband and I still talk about how awesome she was and its been months since our delivery. Words can not ex how much easier she made our birth experience one we will never forget. From the many laughs from being delirous from a 20+ plus hour delivery (she stayed with me the entire time, tottally unheard of) to the yummy Figgy pops, essential oils and the unending experience and support Sarah is such a wonderful doula!!! If you are searching for that "ONE" look no further!!!! Sarah....THANKYOU from the bottom of our hearts!! Your Friends, Cortney and Tia
Sarah took me on as a client when I was desperate to find a doula with only 3 weeks till my due date. After chatting with her via facebook and meeting her in person, I knew she would be a good match!
In the week leading up to my induction, she worked with me on helping me relax and trying to get labor started on its own to avoid the hospital induction. Due to several factors, we did end up inducing and eventually went with a C section, but I could not be more thankful that Sarah was there with me! She was SO professional, a quiet, calming presence throughout my labor. She was incredibly helpful in explaning to my husband (and I!) what doctors and nurses meant when they said they were going to (XYZ), and helped us make educated decisions when it came to how I wanted my birth to proceed.
Sarah was absolutely wonderful as a doula and I would hire her again in an instant for my next birth!
Sarah was my doula for a second time when I gave birth in December, 2013 via Birth Center VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean).
Thanks to the information and words of encouragement that Sarah gave me throughout pregnancy and birth, I never doubted my ability to give birth in my chosen setting. She was always available via text, phone, email or messanger as I needed her throughout pregnancy.
When I called to let her know I was in labor, she came over promptly. My midwife believed my labor would be slow, so she sent us all home to rest... and within three hours, I called Sarah back up, and headed back to the birth center in transition. Sarah helped keep my partner calm and informed while I finished laboring, and emotionally supported me as I gave birth.
Sarah helped keep my birth environment peaceful so I could labor calmly, and give birth with no worry or fear.
Thank you for being a major part of my last birth, Sarah! Ari and I are extremely grateful for your assistance through my two VBAC births!
Sarah attended my Hospital VBAC in September, 2011. She was an extremely valuable component of my birth!
When things did not go as planned due to circumstances beyond our control (I had cervical scar tissue which caused slow/stalled dilation at times), she remained strong and supportive for both me and daddy. I ended up requesting an epidural after nearly 30 hours of labor so I could get some much needed rest, and during the time I was "out of it," she was able to calm and educate daddy, which was much needed.
I am now utilizing Sarah for my planned Birth Center VBAC in December, and couldn't be more pleased.
