Having a doula is something I never planned, but once I learned of the support you get from Mercediz I signed up right away. 
I was sent to the hospital early due to high blood pressure and Mercediz checked in on me and kept me calm till she arrived. My birth plan was out the window and I needed an emergency c-section. Mercediz talked me through the process and how she'd still be here to support us. Mercediz was a huge blessing for us, she stayed the night with me while my husband went home with our toddler. She advocated for me in after care and made sure I got the right care and support. Mercediz helped me breastfeed my tiny baby. She asked before touching me, she is thoughtful, kind and everything I didn't know I was missing from my first labor.
