My research experience throughout my educational journey toward earning a Bachelor of Science in Public Health has reinforced the importance of informed decision-making in maternal healthcare. Through my studies, I have gained a deeper understanding of how access to evidence-based information empowers expectant parents to make informed choices that align with their values and needs. This knowledge, when paired with the support and advocacy provided by doula services, is strongly associated with more positive birth experiences, increased confidence, and improved maternal and infant health outcomes.
