Catherine was truly incredible throughout our birth experience. She is exceptionally competent, patient, gentle, understanding, and was consistently precise in anticipating and meeting my wife's needs. Specifically, she recommended and assisted us with several coping techniques that were tremendously effective, especially in the most challenging moments during labor. She was amazing at communicating with our birthing team and ensuring that our birth plan was adhered to accordingly. For the husbands, she even let me take a nap while continuing to be attentive to my wife's needs during labor (I'm not too proud to admit- this was a huge help!). We’re incredibly grateful for her calm presence and kindness, and we deeply enjoyed every minute of our time with her both professionally and personally. We couldn’t recommend her more.

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of having Catherine as our doula for the birth of our baby at the birthing center, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her support!

I went back and forth about whether I wanted a doula, but I am SO glad we decided to have one. I wanted someone who shared my more holistic mindset around birth, as my goal was a completely unmedicated birth without pain medication or an epidural. Catherine was the perfect fit. We had very similar mindsets when it came to birth and got along so well  

Throughout my pregnancy, she was always quick to respond to my questions, thorough with her answers, and provided helpful resources that made me feel more prepared and confident.

When I went into labor and my water broke, Catherine came to our apartment within an hour. Her presence was incredibly calming, and she helped me cope with the pain using different techniques. She and my husband even tidied up our place and packed my hospital bag—which I appreciated so much, especially because I didn’t even ask her to!

At the birthing center, she continued to be an incredible support. She suggested positions and movements to help labor progress, reminded me to use the bathroom, helped with breathing techniques, and made sure I stayed hydrated and had snacks.

At one point, my husband was getting sleepy and dozing off. Catherine told him he could rest and that she could take over completely for a while. He really appreciated being able to rest without feeling guilty, knowing I was in such good hands.

Catherine was such a calming, supportive, and intuitive presence throughout my entire birth. She is truly gifted at what she does, and I would absolutely hire her for every birth I have in the future.

If you’re considering a doula, I cannot recommend Catherine enough! We are so grateful she was part of such a special experience. ??
