I have a Masters of Public Health with a Maternal and Child Health concentration from the University of Washington (2021), and a Bachelors of Arts in Medical Anthropology and Global Health with a minor in Nutritional Science, also from the University of Washington (2019). I also work at a nonprofit supporting families with social determinants of health needs. I am involved in children’s and family outreach work in my community, have participated in trainings and workshops across the globe, am a member of MomCo International, and am a mother.
As I am currently completing my postpartum certification (I became a certified birth doula through DONA in 2020), I am currently offering postpartum support at a reduced rate.

I hired Kate as a student doula back when I was expecting my third child. I hadn't had a doula for my other 2 and, know this was my last baby, wanted to experience what it was like. Upon meeting her, I could tell she was kind-hearted. She supported me and listened to my birth 'plan'. I ended up going into labor in the middle of the night, approximate 1 week early, and she was ready to go! I progressed super fast in triage. Once I got to my room, I asked for an epidural though the anestheisologist was backed up. While my husband is great, I was so glad to have her there as an extra support. She helped with massages, cool wash cloths and more (things my husband wasn't prepared to do, especially as everything went so quick.) It was even Kate's leg that I gripped while I roared my baby into the world, my first unmedicated birth. I describe having Kate there as an extra, needed crutch. One crutch may work, but two is better. I am so glad she was there to support my family. In fact, we have remained friends years later! Since, she has become a mom herself and understands the highs and the lows of pregnancy and postpartum. I, no doubt, would trust her again for doula support, whether it be pregnancy or postpartum.

Kate is amazing!! She was the first person to make my baby smile at just a few weeks old and when she brought dinner to me she right in to cook and she even started doing dishes. I felt very taken care of with Kate. I'd recommend her to anyone and everyone! She is made to be a doula!
