I offer overnight support 8-12 hr shifts at an hourly rate. I also offer private or small group, pre or post-natal, newborn care education sessions with a specific focus on my unique soothing techniques and simple approach to baby-led feeding and sleep that help get babies sleeping for longer overnight stretches on average by 1-2 months, some even earlier. Working with families in a small class setting allows me to teach YOU these techniques, which will help the newborn stage go more smoothly and get your baby sleeping through the night sooner! After baby arrives, additional virtual or in-person sessions can be purchased as needed.

Erin was phenomenal. She became such an important part of our family while caring for my daughter from about 2 to 4 months old. Her knowledge of infants and toddlers is unparalleled, and her experience as a mom herself shines through in everything she does.
As a first-time mom, I was exhausted and overwhelmed. In just a few nights, Erin transformed my little "vampire" baby -- who slept all day and stayed awake all night -- into a baby with a much healthier sleep schedule. That change alone was life-changing for our family.
Beyond her expertise, Erin brought a calm, reassuring presence into our home. She was incredibly nurturing with our daughter and always took the time to answer questions, offer guidance, and help build our confidence as parents. I trusted her completely, which is one of the greatest gifts a postpartum doula can give. And, I am honored to call her a friend.
I cannot recommend Erin highly enough. Any family would be lucky to have her support during those precious and challenging early months and beyond.

Erin was extremely helpful for our family with our third child was born. She was very flexible on schedule and a great communicator. Most importantly, she would always tell me what happened when I slept- what our baby took the bottle and slept. She kept great notes. We Trusted her completely! She was sweet, calm and nurturing. She helped clean bottles and with the older kids when baby was asleep. I would recommend her to anyone!!

I gave birth in 2022. My decision to hire a doula was multifactorial. I was a nervous first time mom. I was also worried about how I would fare with the sleep deprivation that is associated with caring for a newborn. Lastly, my family was unable to help so I wanted another woman to support me.
I tend to go down the rabbit hole with research. I considered different agencies and I interviewed several doulas. After talking to Erin and calling her references, I felt comfortable inviting her into my home.
Erin was our night doula while I was transitioning back to work. My baby had feeding issues and the extended breastfeeding times were seriously impacting my sleep. Erin prepared everything I needed for feedings, offered helpful advice, rocked my baby back to sleep, comforted her if she woke up, and repeated everything throughout the night.
Erin is more than an extra set of hands. Her calm, quiet energy is very soothing. She bounced with my little one on a yoga ball and my baby immediately snuggled. It was such a relief to know I could finally sleep and be rested for work the next day. She gently offered tidbits of advice and it was so pleasant to have someone to chat with during late night feedings. I will definitely reach out to her if I have a 2nd baby.

Erin has been a part of our family since June 2022 when my second daughter was born. After a rough go with sleep for our first daughter, I knew I wanted to approach sleep differently the second time around. I can't fully put into words what Erin's help meant to us during those early newborn days with our second daughter. She provided so much more than just watching our daughter while we slept: she gave us invaluble guidance and support during the first four months of transitioning from one to two kids. We loved Erin so much that we asked her to come back again when our third child, our son, was born in January 2026. Erin, again, offered us her wisdom and love as we transitioned to a family of five. She answered my questions, helped me through breastfeeding and offered advice when I needed it. Erin is an incredible doula who is knowledgable, compassionate and attentive to not only our baby's but our whole family's needs and well-being. Knowing our babies were in very cvapable and caring hands allowed us to get much-needed rest and feel more confident as parents. We loved Erin and recommend her to every parent we know!

Erin was our postpartum doula following the birth of our son in December 2025 - she was there for us the first night we brought him home! We were nervous first-time parents, particularly as our son had spent a week in the NICU with some respiratory issues, with lots of questions and Erin's experience and knowledge were a great resource for us - from the bigger things like knowing our son had a "floppy airway" and what that meant to the small things like recommending an exercise ball for soothing him (our favorite trick!).
It was also a huge relief to have someone we trusted care for him during those early nights - and she always provided really detailed reports on how he'd done. I'm so glad that she advised us to focus on feeding him really regularly during the day and then letting him sleep during the night instead of waking every few hours as other resources recommend. Almost from the beginning, he slept long stretches and nearly through the whole night by the time Erin left us around 6 weeks (while also growing and gaining weight the whole time). He's a great sleeper now at 6 months - easily goes down in a crib in his own room and sleeps through the night consistently.
Early on, our son also had some digestive issues - reflux as well as some gas and discomfort. Erin recognized this right away and suggested some dietary changes for me and probiotics for him, which helped ease these issues and contributed to his good sleep as well!

We were so lucky to find Erin back in 2019 before the birth of our twins. We were looking for someone specifically with twin experience that could help us navigate my recovery from a c-section and hopefully avoid a recurrence of PPD (I had with my first).
Erin was incredible. I felt completely overwhelmed with twin newborns needing feedings every 3 hours for weight gain and then my 4 year old also wanting attention. Knowing that she was coming to help navigate some nights so I could actually sleep was a game changer. I was actually able to enjoy the newborn period without PPD (because I actually got sleep). The vast experience that Erin had helped us quickly realize that both babies had reflux and dairy allergies, which was part of the weight gain issue (it honestly was not even something on my radar with newborns).
Erin also is the reason that our twins were sleep trained, moved from the bassinets to cribs (moving from the living room to the nursery) and made it through sleep regressions.
Even though it's been 7 years, I still have her saved in my phone so I can recommend her to other moms in the area. I honestly had no idea how helpful and important it would be to have a post-partum doula after my twins were born, but it was the biggest key to my successful recovery and getting through the hardest period of time for our family. New born twins are challenging. I wish I had found Erin earlier and would have had her when our older daughter was a born. Erin's kindness, patience, and experience made being a mom to a newborn so much easier and gave me the confidence I needed to make it through.

Erin was a wonderful doula to us. We used her services in Summer of 2023. As first time parents, there is so much fear and anxiety coupled with sleep deprivation. Erin had a calming presence that immediately diarmed us as well as our baby. She both guided us with her knowledge and listened to us to ensure we felt hear and comfortable with the care plan. The most important thing you want to feel as a new parent is safe with who you entrust you child with and we felt very secure putting our baby in Erin's care. We would use her again and again!

I hired Erin as my postpartum doula in 2018 after my second child was born. My son immediately had trouble breastfeeding, and he required finger feeding with pumped milk. I was able to navigate this period of my life with peace and calm because of Erin's incredible support. l was able to get chunks of uninterrupted sleep at night, as she expertly finger-fed my son, and I had so much energy to devote to my son because of her help.
She worked incredibly hard, and I felt so taken care of. She cooked meals, did laundry, and brought me water to ensure I was hydrated. I never saw Erin take a break or even look at her phone while she worked for me. That kind of focus and attentiveness is a rare quality. Hiring Erin as our postpartum doula was a total game-changer. I didn't realize how good you can feel so soon after giving birth, and Erin provided the support for me to thrive during this period.

Having Erin as our postpartum doula was one of the best decisions I made during those early weeks with our daughter. Her support, kindness, knowledge, and expertise gave my husband and me confidence, peace of mind, and much-needed sleep on the nights she was with us. I always looked forward to her visits; they brought a true sense of relief and made those early weeks of constant newborn wake-ups so much easier and more enjoyable. We are incredibly grateful for everything she did for our family.

Erin is a baby whisperer! Not only is Erin, reliable, kind, intelligent, non-judgmental, supportive, compassionate, empathetic and punctual, she shares a wealth of knowledge (tips and tricks) informed by her extensive experience as a Doula and mother. I was a new mother and Erin helped me experience peace, rest and joy in nurturing my baby's early childhood development. I am still grateful for the opportunity to have been able to work with and learn from Erin three years later. I highly recommend working with Erin!

Erin was a delight to work with as my doula for my first child (2018)! She provided all sorts of useful information, was available for any questions, always responsive, and most of all, was the best doula to have by my side during the lead up to and during the birth -- as well as after! During labor, she offered good advice and various suggestions on how to progress in a safe and comfortable way, based on her wealth of experience with many clients and her own experiences. Moreover, she is a great, friendly and encouraging person overall and a pleasure to get to know during the process. I have already recommended her to many friends and am happy to recommend her to all of her new and potential clients.

We worked with Erin in April-May of 2021 and May-June of 2023. During the challenging newborn period, Erin was our lifeline and made sure our baby was well taken care of. She was there to give us thr support we needed, so that we knew how to better care for our children and ourselves. My husband and I found the newborn phase extremely hard and Erin truly saved us. She gave us the desperately needed sleep we both needed and a sense of calm during this crazy time. When I reflect on the craziness of the newborn phase, I think of Erin and I am so thankful we were able to work with her.

Erin was our doula after the birth of our daughter, Sloane, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She supported me through the entire transition into becoming a first-time mom, helping me navigate both the joys and challenges that come with those early months.
From breastfeeding support and pumping guidance to bottle preparation and cleaning, Erin provided practical, hands-on assistance exactly when I needed it. She also helped us establish healthy sleep habits for Sloane and offered invaluable guidance throughout the fourth trimester—a period that is so much about healing, recovery, and bonding as a family.
What sets Erin apart is her ability to support every aspect of that journey with compassion, patience, and deep respect. She is warm, caring, knowledgeable, and incredibly intuitive to the needs of both mother and baby. Her presence brought confidence and calm during a transformative time in our lives.
We are deeply grateful for the role Erin played in our family’s early days and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for exceptional postpartum support.

We had the privilege of working with Erin when our son was born in June 2023, and we cannot recommend her highly enough! From the very beginning, she was incredibly reliable, professional, and responsive. She always made us feel supported and confident during a time that can feel overwhelming for new parents.
What stood out most was how knowledgeable and informative she was. She took the time to answer every question thoroughly, explain what to expect, and provide practical guidance that helped us feel prepared and reassured. Her attention to detail and thorough approach gave us peace of mind throughout the process.
It was clear that she truly loves what she does. Her passion for supporting families shines through in every interaction, and she brought a calm, caring, and positive presence that made a lasting impact on our experience. We are so grateful for her support and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for an exceptional doula.

We hired Erin as our doula for the birth of our first child, and we couldn’t be more grateful. As first-time parents, we were nervous, and Erin was exactly the calm, capable presence we needed.
She kept things moving throughout labor, helping with position changes so the epidural wouldn’t cause numbness on one side and I could stay mobile. She gave my husband the peace of mind to step out and grab food, knowing I wasn’t alone. And she kept quietly sourcing spare pillows from other rooms in the hospital until we had a wonderfully comfortable setup. It sounds small, but those little things meant everything after days of labor.
Beyond the birth itself, Erin prepared us thoroughly beforehand with multiple meetings and discussions so we knew what to expect. Afterward, she documented the whole experience and wrote up a detailed birth story.
Erin was caring, resourceful, and endlessly supportive. We can’t recommend Erin highly enough. If you’re expecting, especially for the first time, she is absolutely worth it.

Erin was amazing! She supported my family in 2018 for the first 2 months of our time at home with our twins. When we felt out of our league, she was there, calm and patient and helpful to educate us on all the things we were learning. She supported us in overnights and bottle and pumping prep and cleanup, laundry, feedings, diaper changes, sleeping, all the things! One of the most helpful things was her help in diagnosing my son's challenge with my Dairy in my diet during breast-feeding. He was incredibly fussy As compared to my daughter, and she helped us to identify what could be going on, and she was right! As I cut dairy out of my diet, things changed dramatically for the better. I couldn't have been more thankful for her help! She really was a godsend to us during those first few months at home and I would recommend her to anyone who needs support! She did an amazing job balancing support to the babies as well as me and my husband and her willingness to listen and approach made me feel calm and at ease. So thankful for Erin!

Erin worked with us for six weeks when our daughter was born in July 2025. I highly recommend her night time doula services. Erin was professional, dependable, and a calm and nurturing presence during those tough early newborn weeks. She brings a wealth of experience in feeding, sleep, and soothing practices and I learned so much from her, even though this was my second child. Erin helped me with breastfeeding and latching early on and then she also helped manage the transition to pumped milk in bottles (which helped me get more sleep!)
Erin's baby-led approach to feeding and sleep was really refreshing and helpful for our family. She encouraged us to be mindful about our feeding practices and to help baby to eat as much as possible during the daytime hours, leaving nighttime feeds to the baby's natural wake schedule rather than waking her up overnight at a set time. I was amazed at how well this method worked, and we had no issues with weight gain or 'missed feeds'. As a newborn, baby was sleeping 5-6 hours in a row as early as 3 or 4 weeks of age! Erin also suggested some adjustments to my diet that helped with indigestion and other tummy issues (baby was 100% breastfed at this time).
In the first few weeks I was often up feeding the baby, so I also got to talk with Erin a lot about her background and experience working with babies from many different types of families. She shared a wealth of her own parenting knowledge and additional resources for me to read on my own. Erin was very respectful of our preferences and was good company during the late nights. Whether you plan to breast feed, forumla feed, or both, whether you are a first time or experience parent, you will benefit from having Erin on your team!

Erin was my doula from October through December 2024, we used her specifically for nights and I can’t recommend her enough! Not only did she help sort out dietary issues with probiotics and/or restrictions of dairy/soy or formula change, but her baby-led feed and sleep approach is what I am most thankful for.
My daughter was born October 10 and was sleeping through the night by the new year (roughly 9/9:30pm-7am), we easily got 6+ hours of sleep by Thanksgiving. My daughter is still an incredible sleeper. People said then and still say now that I’m lucky to have a sleepy baby, but those people woke their babies up for night feedings. I am a very firm believer in Erin’s baby-led approach and recommend her for anyone who values sleep for themselves and their baby.

I would highly recommend Erin Hughes as a postpartum doula. As first time parents, we found Erin's expertise and support a tremendous help. She provided overnight support for us starting in April 2026 and it allowed us to get some much needed rest during the first few weeks. Erin's suggestions for feeding and advice during the daytime had our baby sleeping for long stretches of 5 hours or more! Erin also had valuable suggestions with nutrition, sleep, bottles, breast feeding, formula, etc . She also has a calming presence with babies and we learned so much from her! We feel so lucky to have found Erin.

We had the privilege of working with Erin as a postpartum doula with our first child in Fall 2025. What a savior she was! As new parents, we learned so much from Erin in terms of feeding and sleeping techniques and general newborn care. Erin encouraged baby-led feeding on demand and "banking calories" during the day - our baby girl was sleeping 4-6hr stretches most nights by Week 6! Erin's approach worked wonderfully with our family and we have had an amazing sleeping baby ever since! I cannot recommend Erin more to anyone looking for guidance or to set themselves and their baby up for success!

Erin is a knowledgeable and highly experienced doula. We worked with her the week that we brought our baby home, and it was a godsend for both of us to actually be able to sleep and feel complete confidence and trust in Erin. Many of the other doulas who we spoke to and evaluated were relatively young and inexperienced; Erin was the most experienced doula we spoke to, and that made it easier for us to sleep! We were also very grateful that Erin was a Carrot-certified doula, as it allowed us to use a workplace benefit to cover the cost of bringing her into our home.
Our baby is now six months old and our memories of those early days are a blur. But we feel lucky and grateful to have worked with her!

Have had the pleasure to work with Erin Hughes currently for the last 3-4 months until my son turns 18yo (jk) - but no seriously, we wish. She is beyond amazing. She is a fountain of knowledge without being overwhelming and always gives us super helpful feedback and advice. We have followed all of her advice so far and will continue to do so because she has been 100% right in the time we have known her. We highly recommend her as your night doula - you can literally rest easy knowing you have a kind, gentle, knowledgeable doula who loves her job. She is so sweet that she feels like a member of our family. Our two kids adore her and my daughter jumps up and down to get her attention almost every morning. We don't know what we would have done without her - she is the reason we are seriously considering having a third child.

We are so glad that we found Erin! As first time parents, we wanted to work with a postpartum doula who was not only there to give us the chance to get some sleep in the early weeks, but also to help guide us through this new chapter. Not only did she provide our daughter with attentive care, but she also spent a lot of time talking with my husband and I about various topics relating to sleep, feeding, and diet in an approachable way that also got us thinking outside the box of the traditional newborn feeding and sleeping "plans." She was available even on her off nights to answer our many first- time parent questions. She is extremely knowledgable and has great intuition. We highly recommend Erin!

Erin was an incredible guide for us in the first months with baby Callum. Her baby led feeding and sleep approach was great - simple and practical, and it felt like things clicked for us and the baby very quickly. I was amazed how quickly Callum was sleeping long stretches at night. Erin has such a depth of experience, she had tips and tricks that really worked on everything from soothing techniques to diet. Highly recommend!
