Before our daughter was born, I had never even heard of a postpartum doula. I honestly wasn't sure what she would do or if it would really make much of a difference. I was wrong.  Having her around during those first couple of weeks was a huge help. She jumped in wherever we needed her—helping with meals, cleaning up around the house, keeping our toddler entertained, or holding the baby so we could take a breather.

These little things added up and took a lot of stress off both of us.  One of the biggest things she did was supporting my wife. Recovering from a C-section while trying to figure out breastfeeding was really tough, and having someone there to encourage her and help however she could meant a lot. It also took some pressure off me because I knew my wife wasn't carrying everything on her own.

When we have more kids, I will not hesitate to have a postpartum doula again. I didn't realize how valuable it would be until we experienced it ourselves, and I'm really glad we did.  Any friends or coworkers that are expecting I will always recommend a post partum doula, specifically the one we used.

Those first few weeks after having my daughter were some of the hardest and most emotional days I've ever experienced. I was recovering from a C-section, struggling with breastfeeding, and trying to care for a newborn while also making sure my toddler still felt loved and supported. Having Emy by our side during that time made such a difference for our family.

From the moment she walked into our home, she brought a sense of calm and reassurance. She never made me feel judged or like I needed to have everything together. She simply met us where we were and helped with whatever we needed that day. Sometimes that meant cleaning and organizing the house, meal prepping, or giving us a chance to rest while she cared for our baby or played with our toddler.

One of the biggest blessings was her support through our feeding challenges. She listened, helped us troubleshoot, and connected us with local resources.

What I'll remember most, though, is how emotionally supportive she was. She listened when I cried, celebrated the small victories with me, and reminded me that I was doing a good job when I needed to hear it most. Her kindness, compassion, and genuine care helped me feel less alone during one of the most vulnerable seasons of my life.

She was also so warm and friendly with our visiting family, fitting right into our home in a way that felt completely natural.

I honestly can't recommend her enough. She has such a caring heart, a calming presence, and a true passion for supporting new families. We are so thankful she was part of our postpartum journey, and I know she'll be an incredible blessing to many other families.
