Clients per month: 1 to 2 births and 1 to 2 postpartum families

Postpartum limits/restrictions: I prefer a smoke-free environment during visits. If smoking occurs in the home, I ask that it be done outside and that indoor spaces are aired out prior to support sessions.

Attends hospital births? Some Hospitals
I support hospital births at Northwestern Medicine Huntley, Advocate Sherman (Elgin), and Advocate Good Shepherd (Barrington). I work collaboratively with hospital staff while staying centered on your experience, helping you feel informed, supported, and confident throughout your birth. I offer steady, nonjudgmental support for all types of hospital births, including inductions, epidurals, and cesareans.

Attends birth center births? No Birth Centers
I’m supportive of birth center care; however, there are limited birth center options within my current service radius, so I primarily focus on hospital births and home births in this area.

Attends home births? Some Home Births
I attend planned home births when a licensed midwife or licensed provider is present. I provide continuous support and collaborate within the care team to support a safe, calm, and informed birth experience.

I spent 9 years as a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters McHenry County, supporting and mentoring youth in my community. I also served with AmeriCorps VISTA working in food security. My lived experience as a gestational surrogate deeply shapes how I support families, with empathy, respect, and an understanding of the emotional complexity of pregnancy and birth.

Fee Details

I am an Illinois Medicaid-enrolled lactation provider and accept Meridian Medicaid for lactation education and support. Medicaid does NOT currently apply to my birth doula services. My birth support is for people who want to feel informed and empowered without being told what kind of birth they should have. I support hospital births, epidurals, unmedicated births, inductions, planned cesareans, and everything in between. As a certified lactation counselor, trained health coach, prenatal yoga teacher, and birth doula, I bring more to the table than labor support alone. My approach blends evidence-informed education, practical preparation, mindfulness, and coaching skills to support the physical, emotional, and decision-making sides of pregnancy and birth. No fear-based messaging. No pressure toward a particular birth philosophy. Just thoughtful support, honest information, and space to make choices that feel like yours.
